They ended up being victims of a changing industry- buying patterns ended up changing, and their business model ended up not really being sustainable. It was pretty sad how it ended up working out.
Are you asking about torches? It really depends on what you are trying to do, but if you are just starting out and want to make marbles, beads, or pendants, a National or Nortel are good starters.
