I’ve lived in Lagos and I currently live in Abuja and I’ll always choose Abuja. Lagos is too chaotic for me and I feel always living on the move isn’t a healthy way to live and that’s the Lagos lifestyle. As a creator, Lagos is an ideal place to live though but Abuja too has picked up for creatives so that’s a great advantage.

Abuja don’t have a lot of companies tho more like a government/ civil servant dominated city

Well... I feel it's a matter of time. Abuja too will soon be jam-packed with structures, industries, and people. Then Nigerians will look for another upcoming safe haven. 😂
Maybe Abuja won't be as bad as Lagos because we've got the FCT brains there.

A normal human being who cares for their health will not be waking up everyday at 4/5am to hustle, after getting home after 11 the previous day, it is not hustle & certainly not something to be proud of TBH- It all boils down to the poor city planning.
All the same, I still love Lagos & I always ensure to catch enough fun anytime I visit- we don't get to have that much fun in ABJ😅
PS. I've been in Abuja for 23 Years now. We'd be glad to welcome you here🤝

@@zeeondemandow many companies do you want you work with or for? The reality is the average Lagosian does not work with all the numerous companies located there, so there is no direct benefit to them personally. There is potential to, though.
I have friends in Abuja , that started in Abuja and have business contacts in Lagos. They dip into Lagos when necessary, but honestly, Abuja is "buttering their bread" as a city .
I was born and raised in London and moved to Abuja in 2021. I love Abuja for the greenery, serenity and also potential. Anything the city lacks is an opportunity for someone.

From the enthusiasm in your voice, it's quite obvious that your views are biased towards Lagos. However, for someone like me who was born & raised in Lagos, I wouldn't recommend it as a healthy place to live long term. For peace of mind, sanity, better standard of living, cultured & well mannered people, i'll choose Abuja anyday.
Also, I'm not Igbo, but quite surprised that Igbos such as yourself are still considering moving to Lagos despite the rising political bigotry in the State.

@akojiodinaka5042 that's cos greedy ppl keep building over waterways..no one cares about the city all they want is just to make money but its good someone who is equal to the task has come in and all that is being demolished...soon the troubles of a mega city will soon be in the past..lagos government is the most proactive in Nigeria...they listen to complaints of ppl and always want to do something about it ...unlike our leaders at the top who can't even provide a common mass transport system for their masses

Non of the above, and here's why, like Lagos, Abuja is presently run like there's no leadership. Here are some of the problems that Abujans are currently facing
    1. Motorists and motorcyclists driving and riding against the direction of traffic, on a one way major freeway, including on minor road ways. Unfortunately, this dangerous and reckless behavior is implicitly legal by Abuja standard of road safety
    2. The roads are crowded with inexperienced and unlicensed drivers, who're engaging in very dangerous and illegal driving. No wonder there're more accidents in Abuja than elsewhere in the country.
    3. Too many unpaved roads for a Federal Capital Territory and an oil rich nation for that matter
    4. Dangerously erected residential structures, erected by inexperienced, incompetent and unregulated professionals who call themselves building Engineers, without the engineering qualification required to go with the tittle. Most of the apartment complex are simply cosmetics. In order words, during construction, they appear as if the bricks were stacked upon each other by little toddlers. But they all end up looking fancy after they're plastered. A disaster waiting to happen. No wonder tense of building collaps takes place nationwide annually.
    5. Private citizen and political figures alike, drive with a covered vehicle license plate in order to shield their identity from the public should they commit a crime while driving. Something I never saw in any developed country because it's illegal by international standard of driving.
Abuja is a pretty much a classical definition of a completely failed Federal Capital Territory within a completely failed society. Considering the fact that Abuja is the seat of the federal government and it's represented by people from all across the country, including political leaders for that matter, It's shocking to see Abuja being run with typical Nigerian non chalant attitude for work.
I can't help but attribute some of the ledership problems to the substandard education system dished out to citizens of Nigeria, by poorly funded institutions of higher learning all across the country. My hope is that this new FCT leader would restore civility and orderliness to Abuja, so I can return there and live peacefully.

@@emmanuelattah7222 It's rather tearful than funny. @@Andices You don't need to copy others to maintain basic etiquette, civility and lawfulness in order to maintain a normal society.
