18/20...with a couple of issues: the white house was not oficially known as such until after Theodore Roosevelt designated it as such in 1901. Santa Fe may be the pldest city to become a state capitol but has only been one since 1912...semantics, perhaps? Stay safe everyone. Be kind to each other...peace
Amazing result! 🏆🚀Thanks for playing! And thanks for the great feedback, I will check it out! 🙏
@@QuizBeezCom agree about Santa Fe. The question was improperly worded. I missed Ralph Bunche - didn't know he was African American, and the # of presidents who fought in the Civil War.
@@shmuli0613 Also, question 14: What is the most famous former occupation of the Presidents should have been "what is the most common..." I picked military general because it would have been a very famous occupation, if actor was a choice I would have picked it probably.
19 should have been worded "what is the oldest city in the US that later became a state capital?"
@@QuizBeezCom ...Although you are correct that Jefferson is the one most credited with writing the Declaration of Independence, the primary author was actually Thomas Paine, who couldn't take credit becuse he was an Englishman. They say there is a hand print on the back of the original, and most scholars believe it was Paine's as it was the only way he could sign it.
@@Tboy439 I did some research on this, and there is no conclusive evidence of whose handprint was on the back of it. Also, while Paine inspired Jefferson, it was Jefferson who wrote it. Finally, all of the drafters were Englishman. At the time of the drafting, there was no United States of America.
Don’t agree with 19. It might be the oldest city, but it isn’t the oldest STATE capital. It wasn’t a state
Thanks for your feedback. I will review it. If you enjoy it, I will love your feedback on some of our other trivia quiz videos.
Agree, got me too. Can’t be oldest state capital if it isn’t the oldest state.
That was my thought also
@@sokodad right, that's Delaware.
Agreed!
Fantastic quizzes: the explanations that you give with each question are informative and interesting, but I bet it takes a lot of work.
Wow...20/20...but, I have an unfair advantage...I'm Canadian.
Wow! Perfect! 🏆Do you have some topics ideas for our next quizzes?
@@QuizBeezCom Sure! Any high school subject would be fine!
@@geoffreygushue2280 Got you! Thanks for the feedback!

I am Brazilian and I love American and Brazilian history. I did 18/20!!! Bingo. About Christopher Columbus (Cristófero Colombo). He was an Italian navigator in the service of the Spanish crown who arrived in America on October 12, 1492. Hugs from Brazil.
technicaly Columbus never arrived in the USA. He landed in i believe it was the bahamas and on other voyages went to central and south america, so technically, that question should not be a part of a US quiz.
17/20. There was ambiguity some of the questions. 2-First capital was New York, and there was a White House there used as government offices; 5-There was a US flag on Surveyor 1, which soft landed on the moon in 1966, 3 years before Neil Armstrong landed; 18-Montpelier is the smallest but because it's only 10 sq mi, not because of its population; 19-Santa Fe is the oldest city that is currently a state capital, but since New Mexico didn't become a state until 1912, all of the other 3 cities are older capitals
Didn't question ask when flag planted on moon?
Amazing result! 🏆🚀Thanks for playing! And thanks for the feedback, I will check it out! 🙏
Thank you Jim!!!
All questions interesting but answerable, keep it up. 👍👍👍🙏
Missed 1. Thankful to be an American. Happy Thanksgiving everyone
@John Smith it's the current stupidity that's embarrassing. The principles that make this country great are what to be thankful for.

15/20. I got the first 12 questions right but missed 5 of the final 8. Enjoyed it.
Good quiz. I missed 6 of them. However I relearned a few things that were covered when I went to school.
That's the goal! Thanks for playing!🙃
I had5 questions that I was back and forth on 2 answers. Liked it a lot.

Thank you for this 👍
I don’t agree with question number one. It should be, in which city was the first Presidential residence? There was never anything called the White House in Philadelphia.
You, are, of course, correct.
True that question also. Had to decide between Philadelphia and New York. Wasn't Washington inaugurated in New York City though?
The only question I got incorrectly was the question you are referring to. I guessed New York because it was the first US capitol. I can most certainly understand your argument.
The wording on a few questions could throw someone off
@@wiseguy617 And the question saying that Santa Fe is the oldest capital is crap. It may be the oldest city that becomes a capital, but how could it be the oldest state capital when it was not even a State til 1912. And not the oldest U.S. city either as I know St. Augustine, FL was founded in 1565. Which I THINK is the oldest city, but I may be wrong on that.
14/20 last 5 were hardest ones. Thanks!!
That's a very good score! Thanks for your feedback! Did you tried our new space quiz: ua-cam.com/video/N5RtJtu3qmQ/v-deo.html
15/20 I’m not American, I just like USA. I’m Greek/Australian & I hope next time I’ll do better Thank you 😊
👋 you did great on the quiz. I'm from Michigan United States of America.
I got the general gist of the Questions, even though some of them were improperly worded. The only one I didn't know off the top of my head was how many US Presidents were Civil War veterans (even though reading as the oldest state capital vs the oldest city to become a state capital lead to two different answers...which I knew both of) so I guess 20/21? Lol
Amazing result! 🏆🚀 Thanks for the feedback, it’s important for me. If you have feedback on other quiz videos, please comment and let me know.
agreed, some of the questions were worded badly. like the one about the most famous occupation of a president... the most famous would be a military general, but that's not what they meant. they meant which occupation did the most presidents hold before becoming president.
Good quiz. Spelling and grammatical errors put me off a bit. Take more time to check.
Thank you for the feedback
Columbus left the Old World on August 3, 1492, but he discovered America on October 12, 1492. For what it's worth, "discover" has four definitions. Columbus discovered America in the sense that he made it known to people who had not previously known of it, and he discovered America in the sense of finding it for himself.
And he wasn’t the first European to ‘discover’ the continent.
@@brontewcat I had to think about that one for a moment. Both Columbus and Erikson made it known to people who had not previously known it, and each of the two found it for himself. But, as you say, Erikson was first.
Perhaps Jesus was first. Why did so many Indian tribes look to the East, the ocean for the coming of a white God, including the Aztecs? They thought the white Spanish were gods. That is one reason the Spanish were able to outwit them.
@@aspenrebel "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." ~ John 10:16
@@AmericanActionReport Don't forget those aboriginal peoples that emigrated over the Bering land bridge over 15,000 years ago. THEY were the first human discoverers. Erickson and Columbus just discovered it for the Europeans.

Thank you!! Cities are gorgeous
Australia here with 16/20. Love to learn new stuff especially as the US has always fascinated me.
Other than the frequent misspellings (Bunche changed to Bruce, which is correct?) and ambiguous, ill-defined questions (smallest state capital, by what measure, for example), it was great.
Excellant refresher.
Very interesting and enjoyable.
I'm glad you like it!
17/20. Learned a couple things. 👍
Overall 18 correct. I agree with the comments concerning the form of some questions. But overall a very good quiz.
Very interesting comments! I learned more from the comments than the quiz!
16/20. Just made the genius cut!
20/20. Serious history and geography buff
13/20 with 4 correct guesses. Love from Australia.
17/20. Not bad for a Canadian!
20, though I admit my answer to number 15 was a wild guess! Such a relief after confession!!!
I got 18 out of 20. I love history!
20/20. U.S. History 101. I'm not that smart but I am a proud American.
Same here ... I love America and American History ... we've come a long way baby ...

Good quiz
17/20..not bad Rubble! ✌😎
Missed one. The smallest state capital. Guessed correctly on two other questions. Good quiz! God bless America! 🇺🇸
That's OK, it was a trick question. Smallest by area, population, or other?
This one was the only one I got wrong too.
@@pamhayes3465Nice job! :)
Kinda sad that newly sworn in citizens now more about this country than most citizens born here.

14/20 not bad for someone who is not from the USA.

19/20 question 19 New Mexico was part of Spain until it became part of Mexico until the Mexican American War then it became part of the United States.
Part of Apaches and Comanches too, and others.
18/20. Excellent hx lesson!

WOW!!! I'm a genius! Who woulda thunk it? LOL
Great quiz I missed three
You've got the wrong date on the first question. August 3. was when they left Spain. It should be October 12.

My son loves anything about the Civil War. He has tons of books on it. You should do a quiz on that.
I agree with Lynn. My issues are 18, parameters were not given and 19, NM wasn't a state in the US yet.
17/20 not bad for a Englishman
Got 15 right. I enjoyed it.
I missed 3. Still a genius, at least on this one quiz.
My cat walked on my keyboard. Would have gotten 100%.
Missed one...Did'nt know there was a presidential mansion in Philadelphia!...Good quiz
Got 19 correct. Only guessed at the civil war presidents question
Got them all right except two i love History I was good in History back in my School Day
15/20Some of the questions I should have went with my gut and not second guess myself!
Like the five difficult questions that celebrate "expert" from "genius": otherwise, very easy. Starts off great with "The Stars and Stripes" but the wellness music almost had me falling asleep.
20/20 with a lucky guess on the number of Presidents that were Civil War veterans. There are a couple of questions that are poorly worded though, and I had to guess at what you really meant. Oldest State Capital was one, most famous occupation of former Presidents was another (most common would have been more clear). Good mix of difficulty. Looking at the background image gives a hint about some of the answers and detracts from the integrity of the quiz. I would choose your background images so as to not tip off the correct answer.
Did you notice the background for the Declaration of Independence question was actually the U.S. Constitution?
@@xbubblehead No I didn't. That's funny.
🙏 Thanks for the feedback🙏
🙏 Thanks for your feedback as well🙏
19/20, I didn't know the first presidential mansion's location.
18/20...Nobel prize winner and the highest mountain I missed.
18/20. The smallest state capitol and how many Presidents were Civil War veterans got me. The only reason that I answered the Sante Fe question correctly was because I learned that fact when I once visited there.
The "oldest state capital" should be "the oldest city that is a state capital." I enjoyed the quiz. 18/20, missed the Nobel Prize and number of CW vets that became president.
It's odd that I attended public schools in California and learned far more English and French history than American. I wonder if schools emphasize American history more as you get closer to the states that were the original 13 colonies.
What I found funny is that the question about the Declaration of Independence had the Constitution in the background.
I thought question 19 was worded in a way that made it almost trick question. 18/20
Yes I did too. It took me a while to realise what was being asked. ‘Which state capital was the first to be settled’ may have been a clearer way of wording it.
16/20 Educational
Amazing result! 🏆🚀Thanks for playing! And thanks for the great feedback 🙏😎😉
16/20, I knew that the Columbus year ended with a two but chose the wrong one.
Missed three, still genius status 😁

Ha, I just managed 16/20 by making use of the visual aid to guess the "oldest capital".
Actually Fredrick Augustas Bartholdi designed the statue of liberty. It was thought of by Edouard de Laboulye who wanted to present a gift to the U.S.
Thanks for the feedback, I will check it 👍
Yes , easy test
14/20 not bad for a Canadian.

Actually 17/20
I’m Australian and have never studied US history, and I still got 19/20.
Australia beating the Brits....again! (I scored 16).
I'm looking forward to The Ashes.... I think....🤔
No. 14 is strangely worded. What does “the most famous for occupation” mean? Washington and Eisenhower were most famously former generals. Presidents who were lawyers are rarely famous for being attorneys. Nixon was a lawyer, but not famously so. Washington was famously a surveyor. Lincoln a wood splitter. Truman a haberdasher. It should have read “what was the most common occupation of former presidents.

17/20/ Some of the questions were rather obscure and of little import such as the smallest state capital in population.
Missed the three poorly worded ones. Santa Fe for example. I suppose my 79 year old brain is still limping along somewhat. Time for my nap now. Merry Christmas!
