I answered 36/40, was born originally in San Francisco, California USA and after 2017 moved to Toronto, Ontario Canada.
Excellent! I am a 77 year old retired teacher. The questions about the national parks did me in! 😁
Norwegian, 34
Yikes, I'm American and got a 27. I do feel like a lot of these questions were more trivia than things most Americans should know
I am 3x your age and I agree with you, this is mostly all trivia. What Americans need to know is how our government works instead of thinking that the president is able to fix everything.
I only got 2 dont feel bad i gave up after the mount denali ?
Yikes, I'm not from North America and got a 33
Admittedly I guessed on many of 'em.. But ayeah
yikes jack
Same
29/40 and I consider myself pretty up on American popular culture. There were some really tough questions like the Dr. Pepper one.
Since Dr. Pepper is a combination of cola and root beer, I guessed Coke.
I thought coke was.
Histoty channel and "The foods that made America.' So I got that correct. But not having travelled much I didn't know where some things were.
Helps to be old and watch the History Channel
@@robertbarlow6715 Coke was made in response to Dr. Pepper.
If this country specific video does well, I will make more like it. What would you like to see featured next? UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, Africa or Asia.
Would like to see the UK . 😎👍🇺🇸
OK
Australia or NZ would be good.
@@stephenphillip5656 Unfortunately the UK video wasn't very popular. It seems that not many people are interested in these country specific ones. It's a shame as I enjoyed making them.
@@Quizzes4U I love the country-specific ones. I have lived in Canada my whole life and love learning about other countries through quizzes.
37/40 Dr. Pepper surprised me and Uncle Sam and the Declaration of Independence got me. Not to bad for an Irishman 40 years out of school.
You know way more of those than most of us Americans do, that's for sure.
It's because you went to school 40 years ago that you did so well. I live in California. And I bet half the college graduates nowadays wouldn't do as well as you did. 👍
I went with 58 on the Declaration of independence. The other two learned not long time ago on some videos
American -- 39/40, missed the one about the Vegas casinos. I know I wouldn't do as well on tests about other countries, so to all of you from outside the USA -- job well done, whatever the score.
That's the one that stumped me too.
I don't gamble and have never been to Las Vegas, so I couldn't care less which casino was first. I just knew Bugsy Siegel was involved with them.
I am a 73yo Canadian and scored 34points. Pretty proud of myself too.
73 year old American here, and you beat me by 1.😊
American, 36/40 correct ... good quiz. Having grown up in New York State, not far from Niagara Falls (note the spelling), most people consider that there are two falls, Canadian and American, where the American Falls consists of two separate sections, one of which is sometimes called Bridal Veil Falls.
Being from southern Ontario, there are three distinct water falls at Niagara Falls. The Bridal Veil falls are not attached to the American falls although both are located entirely in the USA.
Same score & from US
I grew up on the NY/PA border (42nd parallel) in Tioga County. Don't miss it at all.
@@scottcostello1786 Also Southern Ontario, close enough to NF that I used to visit frequently. I can see it both ways, actually. On the one hand, there are three distinct falls, as you say.
On the other hand, I've also always thought of it as @jimmeade2976 says -- the Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls, the latter of which is split in two. I guess it's because that and the Bridal Veil are so close together. As it happens, I think it was only a few weeks ago when someone referred to the three waterfalls there, and I went: "Oh, yeah, I guess there are three!" Which is obvious when you look at it, but I'd just never thought of them that way.
It's weird how perception and grouping can work. After all, we lump all three of them together as "Niagara Falls" depending on context, and nobody bats an eye.
Note for others following along: "Canadian Falls" is a bit of a misnomer, since that one's actually split between Canada and the US (the border runs down the middle). The American and Bridal Veil Falls are wholly in the US.
W∴H∴
Yep, that's where I went wrong on that one.
Great quiz!! 37/40 for an Australian, not bad hey!!
37/40 - non American.
I have, however, visited and travelled many times, and I do love the natural beauty of the west coast states...ocean, mountains, and desert. Fantastic.
I got 23, is from Denmark just like the creator of Mount Rushmore. Thanks for a great quiz. 🇩🇰😀
Amazing!
38/40. I thought the Flamingo was the first casino in Vegas, but that's only from watching "Bugsy" many years ago. I knew Niagara Falls was at least two falls, wasn't sure if it was two or three. Now I know...
35/40. I’m American. Most of the questions I missed were sports-related because I really don’t care about sports.
I am from Belize 🇧🇿 I answered 20 question correct
I am an 83yr old South African and a lifelong bookworm. I scored 35/40. Missed sport questions and 2 guesses. Quite chuffed to see few others surpassed me..🤜🤛
Hussain Obama grandmother 👵 said he wasn't born in Hawaii .. I got 33 and I live In the US
I'm so old, I remember when Denali was Mt. McKinley.
I got 36 out of 40, got the Harvard one wrong, which I’m annoyed about, had a senior moment or a brain fart; oh and I’m English 🏴. Excellent quiz too 😊
Missed 1. Former British Colony. I appreciate you including some social history and looking outside of history textbooks.
Filipina, I got 33 correct answers out of 40 Thank you for the video!
and to think you could have been a USA citizen by default if you did not want independence after WW2. Think about it, the Philippines could have been part of America. You would have to train to be a nurse in order to move to America or marry an old American man.
Wow, the first time I got 100% on one of your quizzes. It helps I’m American and have been around for 60 years when history was taught well. Plus I’ve been to a number of the places in the quiz. Regrettably I wouldn’t do nearly as well with a British quiz😂
That's awesome 👍
I'm from the usa and got 28 correct, that was fun!
Missed 3, I'm a naturalized German originally from Indonesia but have travelled to all 50 states of USA including US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico
US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are not states, they are territories. So we have 50 states and 14 territories.
American Samoa
Baker Island
Guam*
Howland Island
Jarvis Island
Johnston Atoll
Kingman Reef
Midway Atoll
Navassa Island
Northern Mariana Islands
Palmyra Atoll
Puerto Rico
United States Virgin Islands
Wake Island
@@jshound1508
Why the asterisk beside Guam?
@@raymondhopwood9393 I'm sorry, but i copied it from a website, so Idk.
@@jshound1508
Okay. Thanx!
I know that US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are not US states that is why I purposely did not mention "52 states" right? Agree? Thank you for the corrections
Well, it was fun. But way to easy. I didn't miss any and I am sure my to year old grandson could most if not all these correct as well. i sent him a link to the video and told him to let me know how he did.
It was hard. 21/40. Bolivia 🇧🇴
40/40. God Bless America.
American here. I got 34 correct. Not too shabby.
37. America. Couldn’t recall where Crater Lake was, the whatsits trail (I guessed Smokey Mountains) and the park with the volcano. I *should* have known that one.
USA born and bred ... got them all.
Nice one. 👍
I am an American citizen. I got 27 questions correctly. 🇺🇸
That Mustang is gorgeous. They don’t make em like that anymore!
Barack Obama was born in Kenya.
No, he was raised in Kenya. He was born in Hawaii before it became a state
Yes. There is a plaque on the hospital where he was born. His mother was underage. It really doesn't matter since she was an American citizen and the law has changed. I hate the lie.
@@tedparker640 you may want to look up when he was born and Hawaii became a state…
I went through only 20 questions and at least 14 of them.I am from India. But have read a lot on America.
35/40 I spent 20 years in the UK when I went over as a child from the UK now live in Cyprus so some of the questions not on my High School US History test!
I got 35 correct. I'm from Wisconsin USA but have travelled alot in my 74 years.
33/40. American. Definitely some surprising answers.
Missed five, was in the back of the class room but apparently listened.
32 Canada
21/40, British. As a European, I'm not particularly surprised because I feel like although the American government is very friendly to Western Europe, the people feel very differently. In addition, the majority of the UK dislikes their government. People here have a strong dislike for American leadership, culture and in some cases people. I'm sure Americans are fine, but I hate the US government.
Embarrassed to say 33/40. I'm American. Hats off to those outside of the US.
I'm an American, and I only got 13/40, and I can guarantee you that the average American, especially around my age (22), will be around that and lower.
30 from Scotland 🏴🇺🇸
31. Canadian. I thought Logan was the tallest mountain in the US and North America. A few more I should have had.
I’m American, answering 36/40.😊
I live in Wichita, KS. I believe I hit 30 or 31 out of 40. I knew I wouldn't get the most questions answered correctly. Actually, I thought I would get the fewest correct.
33 correct. From the US. Most of the ones I missed are not common knowledge even in the US, I can assure you.
26 correct and from Berlin, Germany. Some of them were straight guesses though. :D
Got them all correct - 40/40, it was pretty easy. Phoenix, Arizona
25 / 40. English. Never been to the US but went to school occasionally …
38.... Not too shabby..... 🇺🇸... But I know quite a bit about other countries as well....
Nailed it
I got 29 (Thai/Norwegian) and my boyfriend got 26 (American). Feels good right now 😎
I only miss four doggone it and i'm a US citizen living in arizona
27. Native American, born and bred in the good old USofA.
American here. 29 correct or 73%. There were some tough questions. Fun way to kill a few minutes.
A Proud American!!!! 34/40
Finally, got one wrong! I don’t really follow NASCAR, but knew it wasn’t Indianapolis Speedway!
100% but I’m old and have lived in several of the states involved with the answers. I am also a history buff and I cook.
Scored 33, west VA, USA
USA 28, the ones I missed I genuinely didn’t know or never heard of them before. Very interesting. There is so much to learn in living.
9:40 "World's largest collection of optical telescopes" thems some mighty big words mister........ I suggest that Bushnell Corp and Celestron Corp have more than 22 optical telescopes in their warehouses at any one time which technically would make their collections larger, also I haven't counted lately but my local astronomy store seemed to have a lot more than 22 optical telescopes on display.
35/40 not bad for a guy from Alberta Canada.🇨🇦 🇬🇧😎🌟👏
I’m an American and got 33 correct. 2 of them were educated guesses.
I’m American and I only missed number 2
Useful knowledge for USA
American here and I scored 31 out of 40. The beginning questions were quite difficult for me as they were really obscure facts. I dominated the latter half with 24 of the last 26 questions correctly answered.
Hah same
#15 and 19 got me for the last bit
Hi, I am Canadian and scored the same. Being neighbors helps. I would like to see one on Canada as well.
I guessed a lot. It's West Coast oriented. I got 25.
36/40. I am proudly Canadian.
32/40 US Great quiz. Thanks.
You are welcome, thanks for the visit
UK here and I got 35/40 however I have been stateside many times for work and holiday and married a Kansan lass.
EZ all 40...I'm from The Kingdom of the Hawaiian Islands
I know my conquering invaders well
I live in the USA, and would have been very upset if I had missed more than two answers, Thankfully, I was not very upset - only missed two.
36/40 (from UK, only been to Florida once, but know all states and state capitals, all presidents, etc)
I'm American, and I got 30/40
I'm a Canadian and I scored 25/40. Not bad, I guess.
Gary England
32 out of 40
Anyone who didn't know the Wrigley Field answer needs to watch the Blues Brothers
USA 32 correct. Would have had 33 but I rushed on one
Missed a handful including the number of people who signed the Declaration of Independence. Pretty much all the names are known but not the total number. Never thought of that. Knew the number of people in the Mayflower though, about 1/3 women and a new born baby born during the voyage.
I got 28 correct and I’m from the US I did ok but I wish I knew more 😭
26/40 i am from Germany ..... nice Quiz👍
I got 33..USA.. second guessed myself on a couple..lucky guess on a couple. I had already missed Dr Pepper some time ago on another test lol
35-Detroit Michigan, USA
Did pretty well, missed one. Great quiz
I got 34 / 40. I'm from the UK
30, Indianapolis Indiana United States of America 🎉
24 from Scotland and 8 of them were lucky guesses lol
Australia - 34 - some where educated guesses!!
I’m from the USA and I got 20.
40/40. I'm American.
New Yorker, born and raised. Scored 80%, though I admit I flubbed a couple I should've known.
American here, got 26. I feel like most people who post here are only posting since they did well! Plus if you get to many wrong you might lose count
Missed 1 wish you would have given the names to ‘How many presidents were assassinated’
I enjoy your tests. Thanks! USA
Thanks for watching
I got only 27/40 answers correct. I missed 2 out of the first 10, 7 out of the second 10, 2 out of the third 10, and 2 out of the final 10-. Go For Broke!!!!! I am an American - age 67.
34/40 The questions I mostly missed revolved around National Parks. I need to see more of our National Parks.
The daughter of a friend of mine of the Wisconsin likes hickes and climbing a lot in Natural Parks. Saved my score.
Did a lot of guessing but hit 27. From Canada
I don’t need a quiz. I’m willing to die for my country, that’s how American I am.
28 correct, I am from South Africa
I got 35/40. I for sure knew about Dr. Pepper, not about Uncle Sam. The trouble is the schools don't teach this stuff. In my house we always do history & US geography quizzes. Really hope no one put down Clint Eastwood as the tallest tree. I have visited the tree. I sure don't know any trivia from other countries at all. But face it, there is more trivia here and known icons and more items that are invented here that influenced the whole world, I guess.
The schools have a limited time to teach everything and the origins of uncle Sam and Dr pepper are irrelevant compared to Gettysburg and Lexington
28 Out Of 40 from USA
27/40. USA 🇺🇸 not bad
