Yeah sorry it’s all scripted. If there is any booze it would be licensed. Otherwise the shinners and the production crews and staff would all be breaking federal and probably state laws. Not to mention the parent company.
One of the people involved in the early seasons got arrested and imprisoned for 10 years while transporting the shine, his arrest is public record and the charges are listed in the arrest

Idk about making a mash out of cannabis , but in states it’s legal, you can buy cannabis infused liquor where I assume they put weed in the thumper
Look up tincture
Terpenes will be in the distilled spirit but canabinoids won't make it through and would be wasted in the still. You will end up with something that tastes like cannabis, smells like cannabis but won't get you any high. I once met a Canadian who stilled tincture in order to reclaim and reuse the ethanol for extracting more canabinoids from new plant material, for some reason, food grade ethanol is pretty expensive in Canada. The oils left behind in the still would be cooled to solidify and be saved as, flavorless, odorless, THC rich extract.
Done it with CBD so I don't see why you can't do it with actual pot id try it if it happens. Although I'm not really too fond of eating pot I'd rather smoke it 😂
sugar content is probably not high enough to use, unless you mash in hemp seeds.
