I love how you always ask how your customers are doing and explaining to them what you are doing and why and just making casual conversation like they are an old friend. You really have some great people skills and customer service.
Keep up the great work Steve!

I would like to personally thank you. My boyfriend has been struggling to set up our washer dryer for weeks. A rusted water hose was his last hurdle. Despite all his efforts he couldn't get it off. I watched the first 30 seconds of your video and got the hose off in less than 1 minute. I am now cackling at the thought of his face when he finds out I did it myself 😂 *laughs in feminism*

In East Tennessee they won't honor the warranty if you don't have the Stainless Braided Hoses! We lied and told them we already had Stainless Braided Hoses at home. We did end up buying those but I figure if it is MY house, I'll put anything in I want!

Nice work Steve… I never used the grinder taking wash machine hoses off… But I have had a lot of tough ones over the years… I usually have some liquid wrench penetrating oil, if the valves come down from the top, I can use that oil to get them loose, but I have to let the oil seep in to the threads for about 10 minutes…. The other thing you can try is to hit it with a torch , and then throw cold water on it …the expansion and contraction will loosen it up it’ll come right off sometimes..: thanks for the video,… I always like learning something new from you

You carrying Mollie around is cool. I run service on a major resort lake fixing boats seadoos etc at homes and docks and I carried Toby my beagle every single day for 17 years man I miss him. He waited and watched for me to say come on every time I got out. Kind of a country side environment so he made his rounds reading all the letters left on trees and tires then just waited. Boy it gets hot in Texas. If a customer opened door like a flash he was in their lake house lol he'd lay on their tile floor most didnt mind and most kids played with him.

Milwaukee makes a sweet mini grinder. Id blow out the valves into a bucket before the hoses , and then the hoses too, before affixing. pipe dope does 2 thing seals and LUBRICATES , add a tab for removal later.

Put a little Teflon tape before installing the new hoses to make it easier for the next "how ya doin" visit.

    • @veeko616

@@DDunc1020 True, but Teflon tape would make it much easier to remove the hoses in the future...the rubber washers obviously make the connections leak proof.

I replaced mine in my apartment last year. Cheap rubber hoses and they were 16 years old! I'm shocked the building insurance policy doesn't require replacements before they hit a certain age.
One developed a pinhole on a Friday evening and I had a lot of laundry to do that weekend. Wasn't about to wait around to Monday or Tuesday for maintenance to come put in new ones.
