Looks like I'm a bit late, but here are some more tips: 1. It is better to make grinding stone rather than stone stools. Grinding stones give 8 gol per 10 stone, while stone stools give 7. 2. Make many many furnaces. This is because to proceed with the game/quests you'll need a TON of bronze and carbon steel, which leads to tip 3. 3. The most important resources for storyline completion are: wood, bronze, and carbon steel. You can never have too much of these. 4. You can trade 999 stone for 999 wood every day at Gust's shop. 5. Chests connect to other chests. You can press the arrows at the top to switch between them or the drop down menu. This means you can place one chest outside next to your crafting stations, then put all the other chests in your house, out of the way. 6. When you open a chest, use the "Sort All" button. This button will take any of the same item in your inventory and stack it into the appropriate chest, similar to Terraria's "Quick stack to nearby chests" function. 7 - Fishing (because I found the in game tutorial to be very unclear) 7a - Left Mouse Button is used to reel in. You can press and hold to reel in faster. 7b - If the red circle fills up the entire white circle, the fish will escape. To make the red circle shrink, simply let go of the Left Mouse Button and stop reeling in. 7c - Always try to keep the fish inside the white circle. This decreases the speed at which the red circle increases, as well as increases your reeling speed. If the fish is outside the white circle, the red circle increases much much faster when reeling in. 7d - The most profitable fishing spots are: Basiano Falls (early game, but only if you can catch goliaths! If you can't catch goliaths then go for the harbor, with bubble fish), Collapsed Wasteland (mid game), and then Eufala Desert Oasis (end game) 7e - If you see a not profitable fish (needs the perk) like a catfish, you can choose to not catch it by either clicking the Right Mouse Button or just letting it go. However, the third fish you let go will take your caterpillar with you as well. 7f - Mass buy caterpillars at Sophie's shop. 8. To win the Martial Art Tournament, go quick, hit the opponent once and then run in circles to dodge all their attacks. This doesn't work for regular sparring though. 9. Goose Berry covered Apples/Massage Chair (early game) as well as Deepest Ruins (end game) for stamina recovery. For mid game you can go to the Hot Springs (there's a DeeDee Stop right next to it). 10. In the options menu, there's something called "Game Speed". This determines how fast the in game clock runs, not how fast the player moves. You can set it to the minimum to get the maximum time out of each day, or fastest if you would rather have days go by quickly. 11. There is no penalty for not sleeping in bed, or staying up too late (unlike Stardew Valley). So don't be afraid to keep doing stuff until you faint. You'll wake up back in bed with full stamina. 12. You can buy roses from Alice's shop once every day. This is a universally loved gift, and gives +10 in relationship to anyone. Gems are also generally liked by NPCs. 13. Reach two hearts with Mint to get the Mini-Drill. Although it's less efficient when using stamina than regular picks, it's way faster for mining. Mint really likes the Succulent Plant, which can be bought pretty cheaply at Alice's flower shop. 14. Sophie sells pumpkin pie in the spring. If you want to pursue Emily, she loves pumpkin pie, and it helps boost stamina as well. 15. You can take one Commission every weekday (and have one active at a time), and do the inspection event on weekends at the Commerce Guild. However, this rule breaks for commissions related to the main storyline quests. You can take as many of these special commissions as you want. Go beat Higgins! 16. Check by Higgins' Workshop. Every now and then he forgets a bronze bar and you can steal it from him. 16b - not a tip but if you aren't overleveled and beating up Higgins every time you see him, idk what ur doing. 17. Prioritize the Stable over the Coop/Shed. Getting a horse will decrease travel speed considerably. Your horse also teleports along with you through DeeDee Stops too. 18. Crafting stations can take items directly from chests! However, the factory chest system is disconnected from your own chest system unfortunately. NPCs also can't accept materials from chests.
One good tip for social boost. You can gift twice on someone bithday. Once after 12am before you sleep and another after you wake. Giving them +20 items this way can yield you a +120 one single birthday. Doesn't work on everyone though as many will go to bed before 12.
Re: the stanima vs. stamina controversy -- Never underestimate the power of sounding out words, it's really helpful 😊 I did that my whole life and that's the reason I excelled at English and why I'm excelling at Spanish now. There's a reason they teach children to do that here in the states! I picked my 7 year old niece up from school the other day and she told me that she does really well with spelling. I said you do, huh? And she said yes, because when I don't know a word I always just sound it out 😊 I was so proud! Lol. Just like her auntie! So anyway, always take a slow talk-through of difficult words, syllable by syllable, or letter by letter and you'll be fiiine. Especially when you first learn the word. It makes a huge difference and yet I rarely see people doing that! Good luck!
The chest system in this game is absolutely fantastic. My mini tip when you get started to keep your yard free of clutter is to give your chests meaningful names and keep them all inside except for one. Whenever you need to access your chests just go to the one you keep outside and use the drop down to choose the chest you want. Using this system you won't need to buy more land for a while.
Fishing identification skill is incredibly good when you need money desperately. It marks even emperor and king fishes, and you can notice them with star / crown mark, so if not anything else, at least that. Also, if you are hunting for kings fishies, you can skip at least 2 times fishes that you encounter, items that come up in bubble when skill is on won't count, so you'll have more chances of finding Kings for profit or master rod.
Great video but for the skills to max first: Intensive Training(exp boost), Mastery of Pickaxe(swing more), Mastery of Axe(swing more), Strike(modifies pick and axe damage). picking these skills in this order will boost your ability to level up a lot and then you can get all of the other useful skills like advanced lumbering/mining, sooner than going other with other builds.
Thanks for the upload! Really liked your previous tip video but had to stop here as soon as you mentioned possible spoilers. Im new to this game so im still figuring things out, cant believe this hidden gem flew under my radar for this long. Thank u : )
Huh.... Skills seems off for me. First and only priority imho is Intensive Training - this is a must for me. I always max it as first skill. Additional 25% exp add up and earlier you take it, more impact it will have. Next one is Dash - before you get a mount, sprinting is your main way of transportation and this makes it so much faster. 3 times longer sprint is helping me immensely. Than there is a tossup for me between full tier one gathering and social smooth talker. I usually go for smooth talker because greeting npc on you way anywhere is very short distraction and those points also tend to add up without any sort of effort from you (beside taking max 15 seconds - usually its [e], [space][1][space][esc] in rapid progression + sometime they say interesting stuff - to great someone). If you get into habit of short "chat" with any person you encounter - if will build up and you will have around 2 hearts with those people even if you won't give them any more attention after one year.
I think everyone plays diffrent you have very good points. I dont focus on social or combat until its mid game. I know some ppl would agree with you some with i will pin the comment so other ppl can see it thank you for some good points 😁.
Negative. I will invest in stamina (staMiNa) right away. In fact as soon as I get it. The first 4 stamina savers for chopping and mining can more than double the amount of resource you yield for the first few days and beyond. Not only can it give your start a real boost, mining twice as much means more exp too.
Early game McDonald will give you a calf. Don't spend to much time running around looking for a "barn" as stated on calf's u.i. button as I did.. What they actually mean is a "shed".

I would suggest at the beginning if the game, head to the waterfall and fish for Goliath’s. They are the most profitable fish in the game aside from kings and Goliath emperor. Since the waterfall only has two types of fish, it is practically guaranteed that you will catch at least 20 if you fish all day. Plus the possibility of king variations and emperors, you basically can make around 30,000+ a day. And when the market is up....oooh don’t get me started on the Gols you would be racking up!!! Also, if you can, get the fishing skill that allows you to see the fish before you catch it. It helps a lot so you don’t have to get the puny golden salmon.
