I, too, always open my Guinness can with a 10-inch steel knife. 0:45
As God intended
Jamie at Home has been the best cooking show I've ever seen. Fresh, creative, simple... brilliant !
The SOUND when the spoon was smashing through the crust!
I had an orgasm at that point
Food asmr
Gotta love that 2001 beach boy look
THE BEST PIE! I make it every thanksgiving and everyone loves. Fabulous recipe
woaw flashback.
i have my free day today, just sit here at the morning at home and watching jamies videos. did the same on weekends about 10 years ago as i was a child.
thanks alot jamie for sticking with me over the time :)
Jamie at home was my FAVOURITE series of you Jamie! And if I ever feel down,
I'll listen to that song at the beginning and all is well :)
I have made this several times as directed (from his cookbook)... ABSOLUTELY Amazingly YUMMY! My hubby said it was the BEST steak pie he has ever had! I love the quick refresher tips on this video! Thanks Jamie! D
Just finished making this... My god, Jamie, this is the tastiest pie I have ever made. thank you
That crust and the filling when onto the plate... Beautiful!
Excellent recipe, no messing about, Love it.
why is it that I always start watching these whilst doing reports?!!
So inspiring. Simple ingredients. Rustic style. Most inviting (prep and taste) recipes ever.
The best way to season the pie filling is with a Knorr rich beef stock pot.

It's your choice
Some people put one in, some people leave it out, it's your choice, there's no real recipe here,. personally I'm going to put 10 in.

Killer recipe. :) I only visited England once, but have loved it ever since. Back then, there was Steak and Kidney pie, and nothing else. (Yes, I'm that old.) :) I was forever asking if a restaurant could make steak pie (which I love) without the kidneys? Their response was more colorful than I should write here, but finished with "crazy, little yank." LOL ;) I tried! So glad that someone made this beloved pie for those of us who hate any kind of gizzard/liver. Our hero is Jamie Oliver!
i always get a good vibe watching his videos

Proper pie. Crust all around. And the filling is just superb. Perfect for the winter. 😉😎😍😋👍
Woooow to this level of cooking. It's beyond imitation.
I will make this for a third time this coming weekend, calling it delicious is an understatement.
this looks absolutely AMAZING!
made it yesterday for 4 people with some mashed potatoes and salad as side dishes and is has just been phenomenal! I used the cheesy shortcrust pastry jamie made in another great video. Thanks for this channel im really greatfull for it ... I love to cook and experience new styles of food --- its a great inspiration!
Can you freeze this after cooking or best to do it with fresh puff pastry and freeze.
What a lovely idea for a pie. Always interesting when you can infuse unique flavors like Guinness into a recipe.
Jamie, you never stop impressing me. Thanks
Love your shows Jamie Oliver you are a top chef
That looks SO amazingly good!
Wow Jamie...looks so darn delicious and easy to make. Thanks for sharing.
Oh Jamie......just delicious....you & the pie, thanks for the recipe
Fantastic! I love this pie! Easy to cook and veeeeery tasty!
What a great and simple recipe, Thanks Jamie
This was great!! I did it for a crowd and doubled it and baked it in a 14" cast iron skillet. Wonderful dish.
What cast iron has a cover?
Jamie is an amazing cook so he knows what he's doing. Everyone has their own preference on how they like their ingredients....
Oh my...that looks marvelous! I've got to try that.
One of your best recipes ever. Thanks.
This was really useful, I did this tonight (without cheese and with another stout beer) and turned out great.
Oh, that looks soo good!
I make this pretty often as a stew. I really enjoy it and it makes great leftovers.

looool made me laugh for some reason
Pretty sure this content should be rated 18+

Why?
Mark - he's joking about it being adult rated. Never heard of food porn? When food is videoed as it is here and looks as good and tasty as it does, and is filmed in such a way that you can't help but allow your hunger / greed to get the better of you; well, like I said... food porn. 😉
I made this today and it was great! I was scared at first, being inexperienced. I had this type of pie before at a pub here in Florida owned by an expat Brit, but I'm going to make it myself from now on!
Looks so good!!
OMG, this recipe is great! The meat softens in an incredible way and it just melts in your mouth will eating it! The combination between mushrooms, celery and carots weds in a wonderful way the flavours of the meat and beer. Fantastic! The only thing I might change is rosemary, because I did not felt it very nice with beef, maybe I will try next time to replace it with a tea spoon of grounded cumin. Again, fantastic!
Thanks Jamie, this looks truly bloody awesome. =)
I used 5 recipes of yours for a rare family gathering and it was like Wow! Holy crap! and Oh my Goodness, Oh my goodness!
Healthy delicious food that is a credit to your creative and fun loving spirit and supportive team.
Good onya mate & Thankyou VM.

Made this TODAY!!! Was great! Won’t forget the recipe!
This looks great. Your awesome Jamie
Another one of your recipes goes into my repertoir. Great pie I made it yesterday, I hope you can upload the stuffed peppers recipe. Cheers from Mexico
Omg that looks soooooooooo good!!!
Akif anything like lager beer or something with a lot of hops works.
It mimics a very smoky flavor which is quite nice.
i honestly cannot wait to make this.
I was so confused thought it was a jamie at home episode
Should bring the series back
Oh my that crunch mmmm and Guinness!
don't like guinness and don't even really like steak but wow this looks great! will definitely be trying this recipe out!! thanks Jamie!
That pie is boss. This weekend I will commit to this.
just bought a guinness pie dish with crimper and pastry brush and chopping board in the post christmas sales and looking forward to making this with a nice portion of oysters cant wait.
Anthony Bradley did u make it?
That looks amazing 7 years on
I've made this at least 10x. Absolutely superb. Play with the recipe!
Loving the hairstyle 🥰🥰🥰 UA-cam recommending your old videos 🙏🌻
I use this recipe all the time but recently started to omit the cheese.....delicious either way!
The puff pastry really does add an extra dimension to it.
yeahaaa i totally wanna try this.
Jamie... you are awesome!!!

Dear Jamie

Kind regards
Riken Chapaneri
here here. I'm on this today
That noise when the spoon went on. Oh my GODDD
soooo good
i always come here to drool...!!!
made this today! tastes delicious, just a couple of things i did though, i blind baked the base first for about 25 mins so its not completely cooked but still cooked enough (it will finish crisping up when the whole thing is cooked). i also used a beef stock, however if using a beef stock i would hold back on the cheese a little as it will become a bit too rich! otherwise it was a delicious pie!
10 pints of Guinness - is that enough?
love it.
Damn.... Can't wait to make that.
Awe, man..! I could just eat that pie, right now!
YUM! Awesome recipe ***** ! I have to try this! :)
Love love love 👌
Muy bueno..!
The way he says beautiful
omg when you cut into it. JUST PERFECT jamie i think you should make me this. my favourite food
I made this at my friends dorm. It took 5-6 hours and we ordered blt's from 5 guys while waiting so we didn't strave.
It was one of the best things i had eaten in months.
I really love Guinness so I am absolutely going to try this recipe
I loved it
Delicious!
omg That looks good
I knew a bloke with a drink problem. He used to love beef and Guinness pie, but he used to have it without the beef......or the pie!
I'll get my coat!
Nice looks yummy.
Must be darn good!
Made it, ate it, loved it.
Great recipe, little hard work that goes a long way to pleasing the family, but guinness was hard to find (in Sardinia) so beer and squid ink, done the trick.filo is also a must try!!
Freaking pro! That's a beautiful 2 minutes 55 spent watching cooking poetry in motion.
A pie like that especially when the spoon was going through the puff pastry on a cold Winter night with great red wine. What could be better?
A good ipa mate
Can you freeze this , either before cooking the pastry or after? Any suggestions please? Looks great.
60°C but as someone else has already commented all the alcohol does not boil away. Simply because it gets trapped in any organic mater and is unable to escape. If you just boiled wine at around 60° then you could probably extract all of the alcohol due to the fact that its got nowhere to get trapped.
Oh yummmmm....
OMG looks so delicious :P
opening beer can with a knife. true chef ;)
just finished the meal - absolutely delicious! thx for this great recipe
we used non alcohol brown ale because our three year old ate with us - he was digging in like being starved for days! which tells more than any comment here B-)
The alcohol evaporates during cooking so you are ok when using real Guinness
@@ralphmacchiato3761 sorry, but after 1h of cooking there is still over 50% of alcohol in there. i got this from three different sources now. and as long as the kids are small ...
Looks good apart from i would get some colour and caramelisation on the beef first for extra flavour
I miss the aussie meet pie video you made a while ago !
yum. foodgasm.
