Can Kibz resist the temptation to build a massive permanent waste storage facility to satisfy his thirst for plutonium power. We all saw him drool over those numbers
That's actually genius! Since vehicles don't produce Nuclear Waste, they are one of the only ways to use Plutonium Rods without generating unremovable Nuclear Waste. They can be rerouted to a fuel distribution center, and the overflow can still go to a Awesome Sink as normal.
yeah kibz might want to build and overflow for the access plutonium rods might be nice to see the cyber wagons (or what ever they were called) driving around since it dose look like a little cyberpunk city
yeah it seem genius at first but after you stop to consider it its a H O R R I B L E idea First of all, plutonium stacks to 200, and it's produced hyper super slow, so distributing it is a pain, the only viable option is using it in a single truck site, not distributing it Second, plutonium is S U P E R radiactive. And i don't know about you but i don't want Chernobyl-level radiactive trucks running through my base Third, plutonium is so slow to produce that Kick-starting an hypothetical truck network would be so painful and time consuming it isn't worth it However, if you are insane enough, you can pull it off.
@@colmenasio5542 I mean, I'm pretty sure a single plutonium cell can power a truck for over 10 hours. So if you can implement a smart system so each one gets at least one, it would probably be viable.
I was hoping to see what's your opinion on the new upcoming update. The new fusebox system can really help in controlling your power network so that if another power cut happens, you can easily restore the power by shutting off non-essential production lines. Plus the new big power poles can be used as an alternative mode of transportation, just until they invent teleportation. I just hope this doesn't end up with another reset.
I don't think there was ever a need for a reset, it's just more appealing to most players to rebuild their worlds in a new update and not make the same mistakes as last time :D Not that I ever learn.. every new update I build in a new location, but Hub Central always becomes a claustrophobic technohellscape where I need to crawl or fly through active machinery to pick up some spare iron plates... the hellscapes just become more hellish each time :P

Btw, the headlift trick only works if you put it AFTER the extraction stage. If for example your system goes water tower->extractor->machines with the tower and extractor joined by a pipeline junction, then for some reason it just kills the headlift.
Hey Kibitz! I've enjoyed all your videos about Satisfactory, and I have a "feature" for your water towers to share: you don't have to route ALL of your liquids through the tower. Unless they've fixed it, you just need to put some liquid up there, then bring a pipe down and connect it to your main liquid line. Put a valve on that pipe, let some liquid through, and close it. That's it! For some reason this tricks the rest of the pipe network to think it has the headlift of your tower, without moving any liquid through it.
This guy is single-handedly making Satisfactory look like Fallout... "Sometimes it all just works out." And sometimes he wrecks the world with a nuclear accident.
for the water extractors I just place a foundation (on grid) and in the center of that foundation I place a CROSS pipe... and "snap" the pump to that... and then the rest is easy from there... if I have plenty of room I place cross pipe each 3 foundations instead of snapping the pumps together (symmetry) and much easier than fiddling with them under the water. kinda interesting that the fuelrods can be used for the trucks... would be nice if they could be used for the drones too... then no need to sink them
I know it was suggested in the video that the nuclear sugar cube would be used for the final product. However, it could also be used to transport fuel to the sip n' scoots instead of using belts. I don't know if one sugar cube would have enough throughput, but it'd be a way to make things work.
19:20 Kibitz says, Sometimes, it all just works out. In my head, I know it can be better... Hannibal from The A-Team, I love it when a plan comes together!
Loving the build so far. Be ace if you end up with a load of tall buildings and multiple levels of roads / routes for the trucks and drones to zip along. Like some drones dipping under stuff and trucks going over. Sort of a coruscant / 5th element vibe. :-)
Valves don't stop headlift but afaik Flud buffers do. no matter the headlift you go in with, it's limited to 10 or 15m after the buffer. Caused me serious headache in a power plant project a while back.
@7:30 Jeeze! What have they done with the spiders!? Never seen one jump that high before :O I hated them before, now I'm scared to get back to playing...
Kibitz, you are amazing, I had no idea there was no nuclear waste from plutonium and uranium rods in vehicles. I knew you could use it as fuel but I thought it still produced waste. Now there is finally a way to have no permanent waste from nuclear power but still use the plutonium rods instead of putting them in the sink
what nuclear powered trucks, in case of an accident will be a mess! imkibitz good that you have put a smart splitter in case of the glow'n'go fuel station is full, the belt also, the receiving drone port, the drone itself, the sending drone port and the belt up to smart splitter at least the plutonium rod disposing uranium waste doesn't back up and mess again with power, but it is on the belt from the manufacturers or the belts towards the AWESOME Sink.
since each plutonium fuel rod lasts roughly 5 hours and a vehicle can hold multiple of them. it's possible to have them run solely on plutonium fuel rods to transport supplies round the map.
They are going to mess up the truck things with the Big P And i have been here since the beggining and still have not gotten bored GOOD JOB ON DOING SO MUCH MORE THAN I THOUGHT ANY UA-camR WOULD
funniest realisation ever: so I was playing subnautica while watching this video and was driving my seamoth but the engine sound I heard was from the Satisfactory truck from the video. And it takes me likte a full five seconds to go like"wait this isn`t right" and then another ten seconds to realize where the engine sound was coming from.
I'd like to see a nuclear powered world where everything is isolated, circuited, breakered, and backup generatored in such a way that there is no required radiation exposure anywhere other than right on top of uranium nodes. Like if for your semi-annual nuclear power plant visit, you could throw a switch at a central control room which would turn-on temporary power backup and turn-off the radiated inputs to the nuclear factory, wait 10 minutes for the building to clear through what was already delivered, then walk into a totally non-radiated factory for maintenance. Extremely complex project but it would be a really interesting system design challenge.
"you probably don't know this", something I litterally been doing since my first playthrough start xD thought those foundations to snap water extractors was well known
I'm excited for the new update...but sweet baby jeesus. I can't even imagine the whole starting over process. I'm sure it will make more content for you, but ooof...you're not booping your way out of this one lol
Love these little extra feature episodes. I do wonder if kibz had his series planned out to end by update 8 and is going streeeeeetch now to fill in time XD
He was originally planning this to be the "ready for 1.0" world, where all the tiers were complete and he had enough infrastructure for whatever he needed ready to go. Not sure how much that plan has changed, but I def think he's playing around a bit more instead of just rushing to the end
I've considered this idea. But I was just going to use it in the trucks involved in nuclear power to begin with. If that section of the map is already quarantined, who cares if the trucks are also dangerous to be around.
Kibz, why are you putting the filters to protect you from radiation... In the most heavily radiated building in your world? Would it not make more sense to have a shack nearby with the filters so that in event of emergency, you are capable of accessing them *before* you die trying to reach them?
