About the Bosmer fermented pigmilk: in real life the Mongolians actually have an alcoholic drink made from fermented horsemilk so it has real precedent.
Mead is actually my fav drink IRL, and I've always loved to build up a collection of Honningbrew in my Skyrim playthroughs. Might be a good idea to talk about foods/cultural dishes next throughout Tamriel, you can tell a lot about a people by what cuisines they enjoy to make.
Fellow mead lover here. And just to chime in on something from the video, I find it odd that the bosmer do not generally make it given that unless you're making a metheglin or a melomel, it doesn't violate the green pact as you can make it without even needing to burn or heat anything (though that generally takes a while).
@@harrygeocaris3179 I thought about that too, and while yes honey is technically an animal product, it is also made from pollen... so I think that violates it technically.. What's your favorite mead flavor btw? Mine was a really good pineapple mead my cousin got me once on my birthday:)
@@preyasmanthedemopan2854 i dont think that violates the green pact for 2 reasons, 1 because its the bees taking the pollen not the elves (if this was a violation of the pact then bosmer importing wood and other plant based products would also be a violation), and 2 because what the bees are doing is actually helping the plants in question as the process helps cross pollinate flowers. On a side note my favorite meads tend to be simple traditional meads with an abv of 14 -20%, I am also quite fond of a good metheglin. I really like the almost rough/wildness that meads like that impart. They tend to have a character and texture to them that other sweet drinks just don't have.
Fermented pig's milk actually sounds great to me - fermented mare's milk is a popular drink in some parts of the world. Not sure about the meat juice, though.
It's pretty interesting that Khajiit enjoy sweet things so much when you consider real cats don't have the gene to be able to taste sweetness. Either whoever started that in the writing just didn't know cats can't taste it, or it's connected to their origin as an elven race when Azura changed them.
@@MoonMaiden37 Ice cream makes sense because of the milk in it. Pudding would depend on the type. If it's vanilla, it makes sense that a cat would want that, but most don't go after chocalate as much. Chocolate usually also having milk is the likely reason that any cat does eat it.
