Yes, brother, 99 percent of switchs will be silver coated copper with a tiny circular blob of pure silver .all contacts save in a jar they soon add up. Chemical recovery is simple if you follow the instructions down to the letter. Plus, it would make an awesome video .pre advice if you try this save a few of the glass bits to the washing machine doors saves buying expensive glassware .awesome as usual, brother
You know my friend ,,,,, I think myself the idea of recovering the silver is not for reselling right away but to save and " stack " for the upcoming financial collapse of the economy. By then it will most definitely be worth the time and effort to refine. Stay safe and keep cool and hydrated.
I really like the hit it harder idea! All this time I thought I was the only one that did this, now I find out I'm not 🤣 Thanks for another great video Okie 👍
yes, when I get it on the trailer I dump my smalls buckets into it, but I can just dump them anywhere on the trailer if I need to, it is a dump trailer
Looks like you need a little help. I myself work from my small apartment I don’t have room for everything. All I can do is pick what fits my situation. Keep scraping. 🐎🦁✌️
have you watched any of apartment scrappers videos? he lives in an apartment and does a lot of scrapping, I think he works out the big stuff in a storage unit
I am saving up a bunch of items that may have silver in them, guess it depends on the cost of the chemicals and how much silver you can recover per quart
Ryobi tools have worked well for me. and I like that at certain times of the year I can get 2 4 amp hour batteries and a free tool for $100.00 ( now is one of the times of year )
@@Okiescrapper if a tool gets the job done it works for me. But in the world of "value in a name" Ryobi is about as far away from gold or silver value you're gonna git. And a UA-camr is as much a celebrity as a silver screen star anymore. So when celebrities start showing off what they buy the endorsement has the potential to increase its value. Might be 100 bucks now but you and others could change that, inadvertently, later.
@@Okiescrapper honestly just thinking of you as a celebrity is entertaining enough. Lived in OK most of my life and you're as farmiliar to me as just about every other country type person I know. Great work, great job, and nice to see you document your life this way. Very interesting to see for sure. Take care and take it easy.
yeah, I am slowly making some headway, but I have been getting a lot of calls this month. the add has been slow all summer, then they all want to call for scrap pickup on the hottest month of the year, I think I will make good progress this fall and winter
yeah thankyou when i strted scrapping i found spent to much time breaking down appliances. i dont anymore unless has compressor. or motors with copper seems here in california not much for aluminum so i dont bother. you have enough steel in weight get atleast 130 a ton. refrigerators beacause of insulation are weighed seperate at my yard get less in steel weight washers dryers get more. i have not found a copper motor off washiner yet. is there a specific brand that is consistantly copper or is there a after date when they stopped.
@@Okiescrapper I will try to make this short. Amazon sold me somebody’s garbage. They are not just one big store, they have suppliers all over u s. To save money and not have to join PRIME I went with used. The item they sold me came from one of their outlets here in Ky. It was covered in DRIED MUD, all pieces were not there and water leaked. Will not happen again.
Thanks for the information on the copper about the yellow lines and thanks for sharing
the yellow lines will help those that don't want to mess with the aluminum wire motors, but keep the copper one's

"If it's not working, hit it harder!" is what my dad used to say about his Subaru.

Now to fill that washer with smalls.

The aluminum wire would be good for melting into ingots as well. It is supposed to be purer than other aluminum.
when I have melted the aluminum wire, the coating on it just seams not to melt

Don’t have a vehicle. Have to depend on someone else for transportation.
Great video. Yea I don't know about silver recovery yet either. Not sure if it is worth it

Is there a market for stove/dryer/washing machine knobs...
Ebay/other?
I have not searched that out, if any thing ebay, but they may have to be vintage knobs, the magnets from microwaves sell on ebay
Think you can ever clean it all up? The mess would drive me crazy 😂

i do enjoy watching your videos Sir.
I haven't checked on the brand, if and when I get another one I will make note of the brand, but haven't had one in a long time
Is it just me or does anybody else hear a rattle snake 🐍 in background? lol 😂
Get a bigger hammer. 🐎
Don’t do Amazon 💩
