after that there was a scene between astrid and her father enjoying some daughter father time and they seem pretty close... did she lie to make astrid feel good ?

Yes. AltAstrid suspected that her having Asperger's made it difficult for her father to connect to her - ie, "it was her", not him.
Coupled with the fact that she loved him anyway & had just lost him (leaving her without any biological family), this was clearly hurting her and would only get worse with the knowledge that there was a version of herself that wasn't the "problem", and was able to connect with a father who _was_ alive.
Astrid's lie tried to soften the pain of that loneliness by implying that they shared the same lack, Asperger's or no. But the lie also left Astrid with the thought that her connection w/her father, as strong as it felt, could also be as tenuous as whether or not _she_ was neurodivergent. Bittersweetness all around.

@@bicarbonat1 I would also add that Astrid likely presumed what AltDad was like, and that her projection of that AltDad into her lie was, in fact, a bit of truth.
In her heart of hearts, Astrid truly believed AltAstrid wasn't the 'problem' in that alternate, fractured relationship. So, her lie was a way of delivering and enhancing the truth she was conveying.
