- Warzone Mobile just updated March 6th and we finally have the final graphic settings! The S24 Ultra and all SD8G3 Android flagships are now capped at high graphics which is now 2112x992p resolution. For smartphones, the iPhone 15 Pro Max has exclusive access to Peak graphics which is 2800x1296p resolution. S24U is now achieving only 56-57 fps average and GPU usage is 100% at high graphics (992p) compared to the iPhone which was 59.5 fps at high. iPhone averages 59.3 FPS at its exclusive Peak graphics. 120 FPS is unplayable when graphics are maxed out on either phones as of now. However, the iPhone can handle uncapped fps much better than the S24 Ultra at high graphics.

This is a good comparison, and the resolution difference is still a huge issue between the platforms.
But I hope you are aware the GPU utilisation is not taking account clock speed of the GPU. If it were using 100% of its GPU, the phone would overheat due to high power consumption.
The 8 Gen 3 by default is clocked at 903MHz while the 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy is clocked at 1000MHz. It’s simply not possible for these chips to run without external cooling at those clocks.
I don’t believe perfdog can display the GPU frequency on 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (not that I can find a way to) but if you look at CPUfloat for example, you can get a better grasp of what the GPU is actually doing. In reality in this game, it is likely the true load is only around 60%.
I will note however, from my testing with the 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy, that the GPU throttles quite early and does not exceed 680MHz 90% of the time. Which is other 8 Gen 3 phones do not do. I would personally call the Galaxy’s version the 8 Gen 3 garbage edition until they fix their throttle method.
Regardless, the difference between iOS and Android developer support is more important even if the 8 Gen 3 GPU is better theoretically in pure synthetics.
I just wish you had increased the resolution from the Samsung settings since by default Is not on max and it truly makes a different plus putting adoptive display for those 120hz
@Kingslayer-qs3nz I used pluggins so this is Max res. The only way to get higher is to adjust game file which I now know how to do
Now 1280 p have unlock for Android

When? I just played yesterday and still 864p
I think the biggest issue is developers are making mobile games CPU driven while PC and console games are GPU driven. The Android phones with a Snapdragon processors are much more powerful in the GPU department, while the Apple has more powerful CPU. I think that's why there is such a performance difference. If the developers would actually alter the way the engine performs on Android and make it more GPU dependent, I think we would see a more even performance.
It's weird though that the Samsung used more percentage of GPU compared to iPhone, having still a more powerful GPU and being at lower resolution. Plus both A17 Pro and 8 Gen 3 have similar CPU power in benchmarks, almost identical. This game is just weird i guess, because it doesn't make sense.
@@danieleduca1241that’s the power of optimization lmao.
SD gen 2-3 is the closest snapdragon has been to apple since the A11 and I love to see them have a better GPU as most gamers have androids
But without proper AAA game support and optimization, the SD Gen 3 will remain a untapped beast, its theoretical performance graphics wise should be on par with the M1, which would make it 2x faster than the A14 graphics wise which is just INSANE
@@MrOrigin120 i agree. I hope dev companies start porting AAA games to the mobile platforms as Apple is pushing to, and not only on iPhone but Android too. Doing this will lead to better cooling solutions on phones, better market, and finally actually using 100% of the power we have on our phones nowdays.
Really
I'm really happy to see these engaging and well mannered YT comments
I appreciate you mentioning how the S24 Ultra compared to the S23 Ultra. I know the performance of the S24 Ultra vs. the S23 Ultra is still in question due to the throttling of the SD8G3 and all of the concerning early benchmark tests.
Please continue to include how the 24 compares to the 23 in the next tests so we get a better real world insight into whether the S24 Ultra is worse in gaming than the S23 Ultra.
1296p. That is insane. Apple definitely has something for mobile gaming for sure
The games are better optimized for iPhone.
1286p, but fps crashes down to 43. Bragging about the resolution the iPhone has but completely ignore, let's completely ignore how badly it performs I guess if you enjoy watching the slide show.
@jacobs5697 bro chill out I see you all over the comment section. Just accept the L and move on. S24U can't be the best all the time and in every test. The fps dip was like a split second so it's really meaningless. What's more surprising is that the iPhone got same fps average as s24u with 400 higher resolution. But s24u is still good. It's the devs fault s24u doesn't have high graphics or good resolution. I think s24u can also run this game at 1290p
That's why it is better? @@redcrimson1028
@@jacobs5697the iphone is basically running the game at 1440p (if you do the math) at 60fps consistently, while the s24 is way below 1080p and you still argue a random dip to 43fps makes the iphone worse ?
I suppose i should point out:
1- Iphone is rendering 2.25x times the pixels (assuming there is no upscaling) but performance doesnt decrease at the same rate resolution increases. For example going from 1080p to 4k wont quarter your fps.
2- I see so many people in the comments (and you too sort of?) think 8gen3 is being maxed. 8gen3 gpu alone can use up to 10-12W. If that was the case phone would throttle in 1 minute and performance would immediately drop. Whats happening is gpu is being fully utilized *at a much lower frequency*. Hence why the phone is barely heating up.
I've learned that metal api and stuff can give an advantage to games on iphones. Thats why in some games 8gen3 and a17 perform really simlar power and performance wise, but in genshin/honkai (and others im not aware of) perform same while using significantly less power, due to metal api
Great points!
also could be somewhat due to the processor being new and devs needing to optimize the game for that as well, obviously we'll have to see in a few months though.
Also, we are waiting for Snapdragon Game Resolution to be implemented.
Aaaaahhhh damn thqt is why, 10-12 watts for the gpu is insane for a phone that is close to steamdeck territory and that has a massive fan.
Simplemente la GPU de android no sirven hermano por eso nadie hace directo en ellos todos los creadores usan Apple para jugar ya se iPad o iPhone pero no android
pixel dont say difference is 400p cuz thats meaningless and misleading, say there is 225% more pixel count that would need substantially more than twice which is more much computational power
1856 x 864 = 1,603,584
2800 x 1296 = 3,628,800 pixels
You're right.
Yup the problem is mobile games are very dependent of cpu instead of gpu. But because iPhones are better at cpu department they will run better. The devs should focus more on gpu performance than cpu… I’m not saying this as an excuse but that is the truth, it’s not that iPhone runs better it’s just simply more optimised because they only have one chip they have to focus on one instead of many other chips on android market, the devs simply don’t optimise for every android chip an just release a version that works on all the chips but because every chip runs differently it can have huge impacts on the performance. Also because Apple Pay them to optimise their games on iPhone so makes sense. Because the gpu on gen3 is simply better than the iPhone’s new gpu on their chip. It’s just ashame they don’t put effort into doing it
In comparison to Android, iPhones may not necessarily have a superior CPU, but iOS demonstrates greater efficiency in utilizing the available processing power. I mean iOS is a very efficient os compared to android
It's been optimised a lot more for iphone/ipad hopefully with updates It can run better on android. I never had any issues on my s23 ultra accept it was a bit laggy, but that could have been down to it just launching and the servers
People are devouring each other in the comments, calm down the difference isn't that big no matter which side you're in you can play the game very well 😂.
Si, 10 fps más cayó el iPhone, pero a cambio tiene mayor resolución, para mi, quedaron empatados
@@antonioortega2051 Pienso eso tambien
10:03 false, the Samsung rendered literally half the count of pixels what iPhone did. And both had 59FPS average. Not to mention the reduced graphics and foliage for Samsung.
Its still nowhere near to iPhone, sorry man
Yeah this video proves iPhone better! It basically averaged same fps as s24u but runs 2x the resolution 🤯
@johnsonm35game is not in global launch so the texture quality wont run on max potential samsungs gpu is stronger but tje game doesn't allow it to use full potential its too obvious from the temperature that the phone is not using its full potential 63
@user-db3cv4jv1q so many people say wait for global but this happens many times with game devs and nothing changes..you have too much hopium
@@johnsonm3563 i hope it doesnt end up like that they only have to enable super res on android

remembering guys, that this fps counter he is using on the iphone 15 pro max is called the metal hud performance, it works on any apple device, having the test flight
how? Can you explain the process?
@@riston7264so basically you can enable it in your settings by going to developer and enabling “Show Graphics Hub” this only works on developer ipa versions of apps though(not the same as the official App Store release)
But if u can find a way to sideload the ipa on to your phone it will show the hub
How do you get ut
What is the app you used to measure everything on the iPhone
this was mentioned multiple times before, but we didnt have hud before to show the resolution so people dont agree that iphone render 2x in many games compared to Android. In genshin not only the render resolution, the texture quality on iphone is also higher than android on the same setting =) that is why samsung pay money for some channels to do the performance test between s24 ultra and iphone but dont show the rendering resolution =)) people go there and cheer 😂
That's purely on the developers of that game! If the developers don't want to optimize their games properly for the SD8G3 and Android devices, Samsung has no say in this!
@@APEXLWIAY yes but that's because android is already using 90% of its GPU running on low or mid graphics. It's not like devs just don't give android high graphics just because they feel like it. on android low graphics it's already using up so much. It's not a question about whether or not Devs let's android use high or peak graphics, it's about optimizing the game enough so that android can run on peak graphics without dropping
There is a misconception in your hand because the diffrence is not only 400 pixels that is not how it works the final res you get is by multiplying the x and y values lets get x1,y1 for s24 ultra and x2,y2 for iphone the samsung low res is x1=1504 and y1= 704 and x2=2144 y2=992 so x1*y1 = z1 where z1 =1058816 and x2*y2=z2 where z2=2126848 the diffrence between z1 total pixels is for s24 ultra and z2 is for iphone now if we do a simple math z2-z1=1068032 so the diffrence in pixels for low res isnt 400 pixels but the iphone has twice the pixels needed to compute then if we go on the high res we have for the s24 ultra x1=1856 and y1= 864 and iphone is x2=2880 and y2=1296 so if we do the simple math again x1*y1=z1 and x2*y2=z2 then for samsung we have z1=1603584 and z2 =3732480 so the diffrence now between z2-z1=w1 where w1=2128896 so now the iphone has to process in the same time not 400 pixel more lets not forget that this isnt for one second but there are 60FPS=60 frames per second so for each 1/60 second passed its 2.1 million pixels more .

They've been favoring Apple for a while now when it comes to high graphics. Even on CODM for tablets, you usually get higher graphics on the iPad vs Galaxy Tabs. It's just in the last few months, things have changed when they interduced graphic boost. Now you can finally get similar graphics on the Galaxy Tabs to the iPad.

Both look good and at times you can see that it's smoother on the s24 ultra but mainly on the iphone 15 pro max. This can easily be fixed with an update for any mobile to get smoother games. Also did you change the settings for game booster on the s24 ultra? On the game booster settings. i think it's off by default
Bro I’m still not able to understand how you got that stable fps on 15 pro!!!! Even I got 15 pro and if I play on high graphics it lags a lot. I want to do an FPS test on my device. Hmmm it's still early days so maybe this will get better but the iPhone is playing at 32.6% higher resolution and locked at 59.99 FPS while the S24 is struggling to maintain a steady FPS at only 3/4 of the resolution. Looks like that "more powerful" 8 Gen 3 isn't making up for the lack of optimisation.
Edit: Just watched your summary. You think that we should drop the graphics to low on the iPhone? Did you even watch the FPS during the gameplay? It was 59.99 the entire time except for one stutter whereas the FPS on the S24 Ultra was up and down the whole time. Arguably the S24 is the one that should drop to low settings because nobody wants frame times that are constantly changing like that. Also pretty crazy to see that the iPhone is only using ~80% utilisation on it's GPU on average vs the ~90% uti. on the S24 Ultra even though the iPhone is pushing 32.6% more pixels. Goes to show that Antutu and other benchmarks like that don't necessarily tell the whole story.

How do we know how much CPU the iphone is using? When i used to play Wzm on s23 ultra, sometimes the game would use 90-100% CPU and sometimes only 30-50%. What I noticed is that the times when it was using 90% cpu i got 59-61 fps and when it was using 30-50% i got 40-50 fps this tests it looks like it only used around 50% the whole time, and yet still got 60fps. So the devs are actually improving the game for android👏👏
50 FPS and 50% of CPU load means... that GPU is at its perfomance limit and CPU could produce more FPS if only GPU was faster.
@@TranceParadise actually no you're not right
Having high GPU usage means that you make full use of your graphics and you cannot squeeze more out of it. It also means that when idle or playing for a long time may lead to higher temperatures and decreased performance.
Depending on which game you’re playing, games should keep CPU utilization as low as possible to avoid CPU limitations and keep the GPU fed with Data. Avoiding unnecessary CPU Load is crucial for a good performing game.
@@firstclass000 Isn’t Adreno 750 is integrated in SD 8 Gen 3? Im not seeing your point?
What I’m saying is that if the GPU is already at high utilization, you won’t have any headroom to use. Is already at the limit. It doesn’t means it’s bad but just capped and may cause high temps.
We don’t see the CPU utilization on both iPhone and Samsung, but if it’s high. That’s bad.

For fair comparison, It should be low graphic for iPhone against high graphic for samsung. How come it’s a tie and there is a big difference in resolution?
I can explain it to you… basically better optimised.
You can see it on the gpu usage… on the Samsung the gpu is almost always at 100% compared to the iPhone, I means that for the same tasks it take way more gpu usage than the iPhone, it means basically the gpu doesn’t manage well the calculations compared to iPhone. This is usually because of lack of optimisations. Also we actually have no idea how much cpu iPhone is using. It could be close to 100% this would explain why the gpu is not maxing out on iPhone. Many mobile phones are just too cpu dependent and it’s not using well the cpu there could be bottlenecks

Guys the issue of IOS playing at 2x resolution is just a matter of dev optimising games on IOS more then Android and has nothing to do with the power of the Soc, i took time to test this out on my S23 ultra with game plugin and rendered call of duty mobile at 3088×1440p instead of the 720p thats usually the default and there were no fps drops at both resolution and even the GPU and CPU usage barely changed, so i don't think the SD chip cant handle these games at higher resolution or dont have enough headroom as the A17 chip but its rather not properly optimised. @deme tech, please install the game plugin from the galaxy store and max out fps and render resolution on the game booster settings then run the test again, also I notice some games render at max resolution after applying this settings while some needs to be activated inside the game like codm, and we still have other games the still play at native 720p resolution.
I did install the game pluggins from the galaxy store. As for resolution, I will look into mamually altering the resolution soon.
@DameTech be careful with game plug-ins. It can usually cause issues
I dont know how did samsung got 59.5 i think you averaged the fps meter inside the samsung phone and not the pink fps meter and the iphone dont even went to the 43 fps it went to 56 for a milli second.
And it was constant everytime and I think the average of Samsung Accoring to the pink fps mater is 57-58 fps.
It was for a split second, I skipped through the gameplay footage. But again, the S24U is running a water-down version of Warzone in comparison to the iPhone. The S24u is running the game at 864p while iPhone is running at 1296p. So it's expected for the iPhone to have some fps dips and struggle

Wow I didn't know the iPhone is running such a high resolution 😮
I didn't know that the game is running more resolution than the actual phone screen
only slightly. I think 15 pro max is 1290p resolution native. so a 6p difference @@isdaaav
@@isdaaaviPhone 15 pro max resolution is 2796x1290= 3 606 840 pixels. Game rendering in 2800x1296 = 3 628 800. Difference between two resolution is dinamicn island which have no pixels. But game must render in logical resolution even if on display there is no pixels in Dynamic Island. That’s how game engines works. And iPhone must render pixels of game behind Dynamic Island even if there is no real pixels on display. So I can say that you have bad brains with bad basic school education.
what software did he run on the iphon e for fps and other metrics can anyone help. me pls
One big thing everyone is overlooking is that warzone mobile is pretty much made to be played on iphone which makes a huge difference on performance because how much more optimized the graphics engine is at loading the game on ios
I guess but in the end of the day all that matters is the end experience for the user
How do you make iphone not pausing the game when you open the control center?
Online games keep running
You should have shown gameplay screen recording, so it'll be easier to spot graphics difference
It will not optimal for scenario because recording screen need ram and cpu usage too
I own both I always game on my Samsung just because of the hole punch lmao but dam didn’t know it was much different tbh
How do you get the performance overlay on iOS
Enable in developer settings. It's called metal HUD
Iphone did impressive considering the resolution is drastically higher. Huge win for apple
The only win for apple is the fact that for some damn reason the developers favor apple devices to optimise while they would win extra big with android optimizations... its crazy dumb to me.
Again, if you look at the pixels per square inch. That it's showing he has it set on h. D plus when the S23 Ultra can go QHD plus which is way more pixels? I mean, the Samsung device has more p. Pi than the f****** iPhone? This dude shit doesn't make any sense

Bro y la temperatura de los dos dispositivos ?
Is it just me or does the graphics on High for S24 doesn’t look good compared to High on iPhone?
Yes, but this is due to the iPhone resolution being 1290p while android is 800p. This explains why warzone gameplay looks so garbage on many YT videos with Android phones, and why CC prefer playing on iOS. I am now wondering about iPad Pro resolution. It must be insanely high!
The A17 pro wipes the floor with the SD8 Gen 3 😂 higher res and textures and still uses less GPU than the S24U 😂
Indeed. The naysayers were wrong, iPhone is king yet again 👑
That's the problem, games aren't optimised to use 8gen3 gpu , I they were 8gen3 would be better or on par because a17 is 30% better than 8gen3 on single core performance and 8gen3 is 30% better than a17 in gpu performance. The chips are on par the games aren't.
@@wheely4405 wtf are you talking about 😂 the game uses 90% of the sd8 gpu and 70% of the iPhone Gpu…what does this mean?! Means the iPhone gpu is way better! Even when it’s running way higher res on the iPhone! Every game is running better on the iPhone! And all you people say “oh it’s not OpTimIzed” 😂😂😂
Sd lowest loop score = crapple highest loop score 🤣
the sd8 gen 3 way better then a17
Test game carxstreet please. With the fps meter it is a very demanding game, I don't think I can maintain a stable 60
How do you open this recurse monitor on iphone???
Apple needs to add a vapour chamber
What r u talking about its temperature is better than Samsung Beacause it was running at 1290 p while Samsung was at 860p .Iphone has better temperature despite having 2.25 times more resolution.
I heard Apple tested this a while back and found it was insignificant with cooling, so they ditched the idea
@@syedhurabbas1938and samsung was more stable so that fills the gap
It was stable Beacause it was running at 860 p 2.25 times less than iphone's 1290 p and still performed the same r u kidding lol.

I know you were trying to give S24u a sympathy win, but all this video did was dig the grave and permanently destroy the s24u. Iphone ran 2x more res and basically averaged the same fps as s24u. More. Iphone did this all while using less gpu. Benchmarks are a scam 😂😂
"Permanently destroy the S24U"
It's just a gaming test, and one where it didn't even do bad lol. This did not "permanently destroy" the S24 Ultra, it's fine. You guys get really hyperbolic lol.
@@phothewin6019 oh yeah, good thing that he did not test CPU or NPU....because then S24 will win.....oh wait, my bad.
Its cause we dunno the clock speed. all we know it could be 90 percent usage at 300mhz when it can go up to 900mhz. This is done so it uses less power and only boost when it need to. The same thing happen on pc gpu. Iphone doesnt have a performance mode so it could always be clock higher. This might explain some complain of overheating.
@@madtiger7955 What does that have to do with my comment?
Yes buts is nearly 2k of resolution the iPhone
you have vpn turned on on iphone - is that the same on s24? vpn may cause extra heat
Bro how did you install warzone on the iphone? It is on pre order in the app store
Not in every country. Check in Google where warzone mobile was already released, then change your Apple ID country to necessary one and download button will appear.
By the way, if you had any subscription (even free-trials) in your purchasing history, you won't be able to change country. But don't worry, just make another account, that's how I downloaded Chinese PUBG on iPhone👍
Even low graphics on iPhone is better than Samsung high graphics 😂
That upto devs not Samsung bozo
Exactly, s24u users crying right now 😂
@TanveerAhmed but the devs are not allowed the higher settigs on Android, because it's already over 90% of GPU usage just with this weaker settings..
@@TamasKiss-yk4stThat what i m saying,,the 8 gen 3,,, 2 years ahead in gpu but somehow using more of it even on lower res is clearly indicating lack if dev attention
@@TanveerAhmed-dk3rp Sd8 gen 3 is 2 years ahead in GPU ?! 😂😂😂😂😂 what a joke! The game uses 90% on less than half of the resolution of the iPhone 😂😂
Why the iPhone is winning on graphics wasn't S24 fault, the hardware actually should be okay to run it at the same quality.
It's just that Android often tends to receive a lower quality port of their games, that's probably because Android has a wider range of performance, not all of them were flagships, sometimes Devs have to lower their graphics fidelity just to accommodate the lower market.
Until Android solve the problems above, i would say that iOS will always have the advantage of having a better port because the system and the hardware are made by the same company and it's all flagships quality, there's no lower market on iPhone.
It's simple. The devs optimised it for realease for Apple devices (shocker).
The game will eventaully be optimised for Samsung's high-end phones (because they're the most popular), and you'll see similar performance.
How you track fps on iphone?
Sadly Samsung fanboys don’t want to believe that iPhone is better 😂
