Dr. M is a gastroenterologist who I met to discuss topics like a day in the life of a gastroenterology medicine specialist, common cases like gerd (gastroesophageal reflux disease), inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, etc., his experiences in the field, and tips to match into an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship. We also talked a good amount about managing finances as a physician and maximizing one's income (investments, financial advisors, etc).

Adnan A Bruh, real one for this.
Older gen Docs giving advice to Future Docs, love it.
Moses Yi That’s a nice way to look at it! 🙌
I loved how he was authentic and just went on rambling about it! I like how how you didn’t include unnecessary side effects or noises 💓
leesly B He’s really passionate about his field! Thanks :)
He’s incredible. Seems like a great dad, mentor and friend
You got the Seniour most Gastroenterologist for the interview😻
Dr.Varsha Scooby Yeah, he’s well respected, and med schools won’t let him retire 😂
Great interview! You keep getting better. It is very fun to watch!
How to Medicate Thank you, I appreciate that!
What a legendary interview that was! Now I'm super motivated to be a gastroenterologist 🧑🏻⚕️
Thank you! It’s a great field. Good luck on your journey!
A wonderful interview with a true healer. Thank you.
Such an authentic and genuine guy. Really appreciate!
Yeah, he’s a great doctor and person. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video! Thanks to both Dr and Adnan...
Thank you!
My favorite educational channel!
Tim McGHraw Thanks Mr. McGHraw!
Thanks Adnan was really looking forward to this :)
Aditya Vaishnav Glad to hear!
“It’s insane that we have a country like ours, that doesn’t take care of its people”...................I absolutely couldn’t agree more! This gentleman is the epitome of who a doctor should be all about - caring for their patients, and not being greedy.
Yes, he’s a gem
This man is a gem! Reminds of the personality of Dr Goljan, maybe its a generational thing. This is the best of your interviews so far, definitely the most engaging.
Rahoul Gonsalves I agree! One thing I didn’t mention is that’s he’s been involved in projects at great medical schools like Stanford, which is a testament to his expertise in the field. He has a great mix of clinical excellence, kindness, and a fun personality. Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
I think he is much older than gastroenterology field! Respect
Amazing interview! Loved it!
Thank you for watching!
AMAZING INTERVIEW !!!thank you
No problem, thank you for watching!!!
Love your content Dr!
Melanie Martinez Thanks Melanie!
I enjoyed this!
Happy to hear!
22:50 "We're close to [the dip] . . . my personal hope is it will happen in July of 2020."
Weirdly prophetic, and he got his wish!
He’s a wise man
brilliant interview!
Study With Additti Thank you!
Gastroenterology is a good field
Tim Kobayashi I agree!
22:47 Managed to forecast a financial crisis, although not July yet. S&P down 30% as of March.
Good catch
Hey Adnan. Is it possible if you can make a part 2 with someone younger? Thanks!
I can try, though it’s difficult nowadays with covid. Any particular questions or topics in mind?
Excellent video, thank you both! For the most part I am leaning towards GI career, but I am not 100% sure at this time. I will be applying for IM residency in a year. Do I volunteer and share my ultimate goal for sub-i if the question comes up during IM interview?
Thank you! If you have a specific fellowship goal and your ec’s like research point towards it, I don’t see why not. Imo it shows you are passionate about IM and what you want to do with that residency.
Thank you, so much.
It makes so much sense, if IM residency is the gateway to prepare graduates for a wide variety of careers in medicine, one should not hesitate to share their ultimate goal. There's always that fear of uncertainty for residency in your dream school, thanks for sharing your 2 cents on this.
Anita Patel No problem, best of luck becoming a gastroenterologist!
I would try to slow down your questions/how fast you talk and less nodding when listening to people speak. It makes the other person a little uncomfortable with nervous energy. Great interview my man.
Thanks for the advice, and for watching!
Aspiring gastroenterologist here 👋🏻.
You got this 🙌!
Hey Adnan, can you teach me a nice exercise, to reduce belly fat... Like abdomen fat on the sides. It's so hard for me to reduce that. Whatever I wear I look like I'm prego. 😔.
Please teach me an exercise that would actually work.. I tried many but everything failed. I don't eat much of sugar and I eat healthy food like lots of veggies and fruits.. I just need a good exercise.
Thank you.
rakshith sanjeev So you cant just target fat loss in one area of the body, you’d need to lose total body fat to lose belly fat as well. Unfortunately belly fat is often one of the last areas to go for most people, but it can be done. To lose total body fat it’s best to be in a sustained calorie deficit for a long period of time. I like to aim to lose about a pound/half kilo a week. I’d recommend counting your calories at least for a week to see how many you’re eating, and set targets from there. Also make sure to see a doc before any new exercise or diet program. It’s great you keep trying- I’m sure you’ll get where you want with your persistence!
@@DrAdnan thanks :)
rakshith sanjeev Np, good luck!
What is the name of the doctor??
Dr. Meyer!
🤔 interesting content but remember “Get high, you study high, get high test scores” 😁
Deus Fusion Lol were you that one Australian med student?
Adnan A Unfortunately no, dude was funny. I always browse though comments while the vid is playing. Trying to get to med school though 😁
Deus Fusion You got this bro 🙌
he must have lots of money
Adil Most likely lol

ADGaming HQ Thank you!
This interview sucked. The old man swears he's a celebrity. Also, the guy giving the interview just agrees and nods his head to everything the old man says LMAOO
XxDank_MemesxX Thanks for watching
