    God. Thanks so much for these videos. These are real practical recepies. I’m have zero creativity when it comes to cooking

    I use the Plant Basics chunks (I bought a 6 lb box) which looks just like your big bag 😉) and I’m SUPER happy with them. Made correctly, they absolutely replace animal protein. (Trick for anyone who think they taste weird (including soy curls) do NOT rehydrate in broth, use water. Broth gives them a weird funky taste that can overpower the dish. You’d think it would make them more tasty but I find them unpalatable and have thrown whole meals away.

      Good to know! I have been experimenting with them so much. I really prefer air frying them after cooking or following any typical recipe with them. That way my kids will eat them because the texture isn’t as weird and soft.

      @@plantwhys I’m so glad to learn I can air fry them at the end, that never entered my mind. Thank you! 🙏🏻

      Where do I buy the chunks? I have heard of TVP but nit bought. I have seen people’s tvp as mush. I need to get more protein. I use tempeh and use plain, does nit bother me. Not very crazy for tofu but need to learn to use. I am 76 and need to have protein. Thanks for showing.

      @@carolynlapota5495 I found huge bags of soy chunks at my local Indian supermarket - but I'm in Australia! We can't get soy curls yet in Australia, but tasted them once at a potluck lunch and they are awesome!

    It’s more important to eat fiber. Your meals are very healthy!

    • @plantwhys
      @plantwhys  2 місяці тому +1

      Agreed. but more people click on "high protein" than "high fiber" titles. The good news is that these recipes have both!

    You said for recipe 2 that the cornstarch mix was to make the tempeh crunchy, but it wasn't fried, it was mixed in with the sauce. It didn't look crunchy, and I couldn't see that this way of cooking would make it crunchy. Can you clarify, please??
