What I've found helpful would be more videos like this. Playing through a song and going over some of the licks and riffs used. Even just common patterns used when It comes to It. Like using the different modes and shapes on the fretboard. It's just a suggestion but I really did enjoy this video and It's helping me develop my skills on guitar. Thank You!

@@shalomakos yes boss. Like in bass guitar if you can play on key c you can play all the keys. The progressions re the same for all the key in every fret. Now my question is is lead guitar the same thing as that?

So I’m not a new guitar player, been playing for a few years But I recently started playing on stage in church and my mind goes blank whenever I’m to start
Love the videos. For me tone is a big issue since my church doesn’t have soundcheck. Sometimes I have issues hearing myself as well as getting my boss gt1 patches to sound good and not too loud or too low. Any suggestions or a video on tone and eq would be appreciated!

I think the main thing that will help is by reason of practice, to try and be grounded in knowing the chords of songs.. once you learn the basics, you’ll also try and find out other variations that people play for that song and learn.. So if people are using “Aminor,F,C,G for songs like “there’s power in the name of Jesus”.. I’d ask myself what the possible chord changes are, listen to other people’s playing and hear what they do.. Imagine applying this same concept other songs.. I think that’s the best way to grow… I hope this little info was able to help!👌😃

Once you understand the major scales and pentatonic scale, just learn learn a lot of songs and the guitar lines used.. repetition will make you get used to it. Then checkout simple licks with those subjects.. I’m doing tutorials on some licks very soon.. Plus I have a lot of videos on my channel that could be helpful. You can check them out
Depends on your location. Guitar prices differ sometimes. If you’re on a budget you can go for any second hand guitar to start learning with. I don’t know which product to recommend though. I use a Smiger guitar. You can check for fender strat or Ibanez.. Just that these ones are usually more expensive. So just go for any you find within your budget
One favor to ask brother is instead of just using do re mi ... can you use the key number (1,2,3,4,5...) or the key name (C, D, E, ...) please? I am not familiar with do re mi for note recognition.
I think it’s based on preference. For picking, hard picks can help to give a clearer and defined sound because of their thickness. I think softer picks are sweeter for strumming.. So laslas it’s based on what you’ve tried that works for you.

@@IfeomaChulux hey Ifeoma.. I can relate to what you’re going through 😪😢.. It can get really frustrating. Just like you said though, the best way to improve is to practice, not just practicing but practicing the right stuff, with the right materials and resources. About your fingers hurting, I think it’s pretty normal 😂. You’ll do it to a point where your fingers can’t feel it anymore. Don’t forget to rest when you’re tired though. The basis of creating melodies, starts with understanding the major scale.. I have covered how to play the major scale on my channel a lot of time.. You can check my playlist for it.. having that understanding will make you a step ahead, also make sure you know the fretboard too (you can watch my lessons on that), also check out my lessons on how to solo with the major scale.. I’ve tried to break down the basis of how to create melodies in those videos.. I believe they will be helpful.. Don’t give up.. it takes time, you’ll surely get there..
You're right Sometimes I try to learn from UA-camrs But I found out that most of the way they play was not the way I was thought Sometimes when we're playing on Service day hmmm I mean in church All musicians are already playing far While I will be there trying to hold my chords well or trying to find a melody that will go with what they're playing Is not easy at all Is this what you guitar players pass through before becoming perfect? I really want to be a good guitarist
My problem is how to create a good melody while playing
Like with your sofas
And my fingers are very small
And when I play on chord I feel pains in my fingers and it's not comfortable at all
And sometimes when I'm practicing I just feel like giving up
But I'm still holding on believing that one day I will be perfect
So what does it really take to be a good guitarist
I know so many people said practicing but why do I feel so boring so tired while practicing please can you tell me why I can't create a good melody while playing my guitar and why I'm always feeling pains in my fingers while playing and also trying to give up when I've not even started
But I love to play it for that is my dream
So what do you advise I should do?

I can relate to what you’re going through 😪😢..
It can get really frustrating.
Just like you said though, the best way to improve is to practice, not just practicing but practicing the right stuff, with the right materials and resources.
About your fingers hurting, I think it’s pretty normal 😂. You’ll do it to a point where your fingers can’t feel it anymore.
Don’t forget to rest when you’re tired though.
The basis of creating melodies, starts with understanding the major scale..
I have covered how to play the major scale on my channel a lot of time..

having that understanding will make you a step ahead, also make sure you know the fretboard too (you can watch my lessons on that), also check out my lessons on how to solo with the major scale..

Sometimes I try to learn from UA-camrs
But I found out that most of the way they play was not the way I was thought
Sometimes when we're playing on Service day hmmm I mean in church
All musicians are already playing far
While I will be there trying to hold my chords well or trying to find a melody that will go with what they're playing
Is not easy at all
