- This is a video about different ways of anticipating a trend reversal.
Learning how to anticipate a trend reversal is probably one of the most important skills a trader can develop, but it’s not an easy task. There are many different elements that need to be analyzed when looking for trend reversals or trend continuations for that matter. A combination of notorious phase analysis methods like Dow Theory, Elliott Wave, and Wyckoff can provide a solid framework in a general sense. Other methods like velocity, momentum divergence, volume divergence, and volume spread analysis can provide insight about the strength behind trend movement in a way that raw candlesticks cannot tell. Candlesticks themselves have a lot to offer beyond the common patterns. Things like candle stochastic, body to range ratio, and price persistence are all part of the trend predicting equation as well. The idea of this video is to make it clear that the technical trader should aim to integrate all these different trading methods together instead of picking just one. That is a good way of increasing the strength of trading signals to the point where they become reliable in the long term.

Can you please make a video on anticipating movements? Do you scan between charts and then decide to analyze one based on some criteria, or do you trade only one chart, and if so, how do you choose the time to start conducting your analysis(market opens?)
Instead of trying to catch the trend reversal, trade the trend.(trend is your friend)I guarantee you will be much richer and much happier!
Trend is your friend works more for long term in my opinion
Everyone has different trading styles, mine happens to be supply and demand / support and resistance, which is basically reversal strategies
It's easier for me to have small losses rather than following the trend (I'm a scalper on futures, if that helps explain my reasoning)
Yes but you want to spot a reversal so you don't short the bottom or long the top
I love indicators. If I trend reversals you get in the position that the reversal will happen before the indicator(s) gives a signal. When a trend starts and I have the indicators lining up that is what I want to trade. I don't like support/resistance lines, supply zones, order flow and all that simplistic shit.
What works for you isn’t always going to work for everyone else. There is a lot of people out there that are very great and profitable trading reversals.

Please critique the following analysis of IDing cycles: Even assuming one constant cycle length, length will appear to vary on the x-axis depending on the angle of the of the trend. A cycle length trending sideways (the natural cycle length) will appear longer than ones trending upward or downward. Those trending upward or downward will vary on the x-axis depending on the rate-of-change. The only way to get an accurate cycle is to subtract the price from a measure of the central trend, such as a moving average. Of course, there will be exogenous breaking the original assumption.

Thank you for this tutorial , it is very useful. I have a question regarding the volume histogram between Price Action Bullish reversal Divergence and the Bearish one. The two Volume Histogram diagrams seem to be the same. Would you be able to clarify the difference please? Much appreciated.
The volume histogram only has positive values, so in both cases of divergence the volume histogram shows lower peaks.
