I love these videos about apparent survival bag’s from places like Amazon.
It reminds me that my bag is solid, put together by me and no cheap gimmicky items.
    Thanks brother 🇺🇸🇬🇧👍🏻

The usb stuff is quite handy. I have a few solar options for charging with the sun so I appreciate them. If anything it’s regular batteries that will come in short supply. I’ll be charging my stuff while the solar panel hangs from a tree. Technically the tree could help me charge up. I’ve had to become way more open minded since I built my first tiny home. I’m actually working on the math to be totally self sufficient and not need a direct line power wise.

Some of those little shovels are good for digging fire pits and turd holes. But not for any serious use. Those kits are just a few basic items for people to start with and build up from there and make necessary changes as they go. Everyone has to start somewhere and learn as well

Having seen someone try to "pitch" that "emergency tent" and fail totally because it tore in the breeze, it's simply a survival blanket at best, and noisy in any breeze.

After the Rambo first blood came out every big knife had a compass in the handle with a chain saw and fishing kit.
If you got a cool one it came with a magnesium fire starter block with a strike rod built into it.
All of a sudden wearing camouflage was cool not just for us survivalist 😅

as you said, first time I have seen something for water. You can use the filter to drink right out of the source with the tube as well.

Pretty sure the tube doesn't go in the water bottle.... Kinda defeats the purpose of having the threads. I COULD be wrong though....

That kit is alright. For the price.. absolutely add stuff to it. A lot of those little items are things most people will probably forget.

The garden gloves ? Well you can use them in your garden...

Most folks wouldn't know how to use most items in those so called "survival kits" the majority of people don't realize that survival starts in your head with knowledge. If you don't know how to use what you've got, you can have the greatest "kit" in the world, and it won't do you any good.

For those people that's a great thing. Let's be real most won't survive a real situation anyway, at keast not well, and then the other honestly, there will people who didn't prepare that will survive and even thrive in those situations. For most of us, well be in the middle, strong and smart enough to just fall back, avoid all of them until we have no choice not to.

Yeah I hate to tell you bud I have that same backpack. I got mine from alliexpress cost me 30 USD and it's junk! single stitching and it's poor at that. I barely trust it taking it to and from the car on camping trips there is no way I would trust that bag with my survival. Looks great though 😅

You should test and see if the bag is waterproof at all. If it is, then the inner lining is probably to protect the waterproof membrane. It seems like a decent enough kit to use as a starting point. Personally I'd rather go with a non-camoflage bag so that it draws less attention and then have a camo cover to go over it.

Kinda like the hammer/hatchet thing. Might work for the tent bag. Make stakes, saw notches for the guy line, drive them in...etc.

Although some of those items are a bit jenky its a good place to start out. Good bag, just need to add some quality items to it and some other things to make it a custom bag fit just for you. Prepping is an evolution of sorts from beginner to veteran. As long as you are thinking in terms of preps and needs when you cant drive to the store for weeks or even months

The poncho lives in my edc...in case it rains and my coat isn't waterproof. They aren't reusable. The shelter wouldn't last in anything more than a breeze!

The biggest mistake i always see in most packs, is no pot! With a good knife, flint, and bag i can do quite a bit, but a pot would make like SO much better.

before i continue i will say this. I have a few of those kits from amazon. I wouldnt trust them with my life for even a second. However, the kits come with rations and emergency water as well sometimes and at a much lower cost than buying that shit on its own. so to me they are worth it. I keep a kit in my trunk cause I work 45 mins away from home... just in case something happens and im stranded for a few days

These premade kits kill me... They always include ferro rods and the general public has no idea how to use them. Watched a guy on a camping trip try to use one by hacking on it with the blade of his knife trying to light a balled up napkin. How much would it cost to add some instructions and/or a few waterproof matches?

There are some things everyone needs. There are things nobody needs. The trick is to define what is best for you and your particular situation. Geography is one of the most factors. That kit was garbage..the E-tool was an e-tool. I'd almost bet folding cash most if not all of the components were made in China.
