- With House of the Dragon Season 2 just around the corner, HBO dropped a new trailer in the last week where we can see what exactly is shaping up in the war for Westeros between the Targaryen Blacks of Queen Rhaenyra and Daemon vs. Aegon II's dastardly Targaryen Greens along with Alicent and Otto Hightower!

The scene involving Viserys mistaking Allicent for his late wife earlier in the season is perfect. He had mistaken her for other people on more than one occasion before the night of his death.
Absolutely perfect. Really makes you feel like Alicent was never really accepted by him, despite being a pretty nice guy. He just really loved Aemma THAT much.
The thing that I find so ironic is - Cristin Cole. He was _there_ when the White Stag appeared to Rhaenyra - her alone, of that whole sprawling hunt party. Not Aegon II, not Viserys, Rhaenyra. He saw it, he knew what it meant. But he turned against her. Why?
Well, I think you're right that if he believes in the omens then totally he should be on Rhaenyra's side. But I get why he isn't on her side...he lost her as a lover, she chose duty over him. So for all we know, he may hate that Stag because it's a symbol of the duty that was given priority over his own feelings toward her.
And of course Alicent is the one who rescued him from killing himself, so I'm sure he's grateful.

What if Viserys abdicated the throne to Rhaenyra before his death?
What if Alicent only had daughters?
What if Rhaena claimed Vhagar before Aemond could?
What if Dreamfyre killed Aemond in the dragonpit?
What if Vhagar didn't accept Aemond and killed him?
OoooOO that first one in particular is a really cool one...I mean that would've been the downright logical thing, you'd think. That'd immediately catapult her in (though I don't think that's very common practice)

I'm not too worried about Daemon. Matt Smith is incredible and S1 Daemon was excellent. I'm fine even if he diverges from the books as long as it's a good change1

@@vanessalore9942 No I always feel I need to apologize because I WANT to do more things than I do - but I just run out of energy. And I really don't like just turning the camera on without a plan. Some folks do stream and not really plan it and I don't love that, so instead I just don't do it. More sparse, but feels like I'm maintaining some semblance of quality.
