Thank you so much for this amaizing video! I could watch this over & over again. One can see what sharp mind supported with a sharp knife and a lot of skill can do.
Great video! I have a question. Does removing the "top" layer from chopped pepper has some other benefits than being uniform and thin? I always remove only white and pale parts so i'm wondering
Thank you for your question! When slicing vegetables like bell peppers, removing the white and thin inner parts helps achieve uniform, thin slices, which improves appearance and ensures even cooking. Additionally, it helps eliminate slight bitterness and fibrous textures, enhancing the flavor. However, if you prefer to enjoy more texture, it’s perfectly fine to leave the inner parts a bit thicker. Feel free to adjust according to your preference!
It’s dangerous to cut onions before removing the papery skin. Reason: it’s not firmly attached and can easily release when gripped, allowing the onion to slip and resulting in a nasty cut.
Very very bad advice!!! Remove the paper husk >before< cutting an onion to avoid the onion from slipping, resulting in a self-inflicted wound. There is no reason to leave it on, so get rid of it!!!
