I hope I'm not just missing something in perusing your past videos involving the ATEM mini but I'd be very curious to see you test out linking it up to the GoPro with it's Media Mod mini HDMI capabilities, I know it's possible but testing it & displaying it's quirks & limitations would be very helpful to us who own a couple Hero8 cameras & are considering utilizing them for tethered streaming. Again love the videos & look forward to any future content!

hi tim, is there a way to have a chroma key up as well as the picture in picture at the same time? for example having you with the new background but also showing the input from a second camera in the picture in picture?

Your videos have helped me an awful lot, thanks Tim! Please keep up the great work! Not a green screen question, so sorry for being off topic, but finding this one difficult to get help with. I seem to be unable to stream to FB or Restream with my mini pro, no one seems to know why. UA-cam is no problem, like clockwork, but not the others. XML file has been edited, stream key added in ATEM software, but nothing streams.
Not off off topic at all brother. FB have recently been rolling out new streaming studio. Try downloading the latest chrome beta and use that
@@TimSimpson Thanks for that, appreciate your help. I gave it a try but no success. The BM guys are onto it now but it seems to have them scratching their heads too. Someone said it's a DNS thing but I can't see how that's possible given I have no problem streaming to youtube......

@@TimSimpson No mate, I'm not. it's taken a few days to get it working, but just got it there. I called my ISP and they reckoned it they just needed to switch me to static IP. Bingo, fixed.
Tim Simpson I’m sure you have plenty of ideas for ATEM mini tutorials, but here’s one I’d love to see (and that nobody seems to have covered yet): how to conduct and livestream talking head interviews with a remote guest via Skype, zoom, teams etc. seems simple enough to plug in a computer as one of the HDMI inputs to the mini pro, but gets a bit messy with audio, mix minus etc. I’m trying to do it Sans OBS or VMIX and hope to simulcast via restream.io...........

Very useful... I would like to see a comparison between your ATEM Chroma Key and Ultimatte 12 Mini Chroma Key when you have time. Also please set up macros to record "instances" of different camera positions like a close up and wide shot.

Hi Tim, I dig your ATEM vids and I’m a subscriber!
I’m working with the upsteam keyer on the ATEM Mini Pro and it’s all coming off with help from your video explanation. One thing though, how do I make it smooth and clean switching from another cam angle to the green screen cam angle?
I’m on another angle and these are my moves that it takes to switch to the green sceen angle:
Push STILL button (I’m using a Media Player image as my background image)
Push CUT button
Push the cam angle 3 button (this is the chroma fill source cam)
Push the KEY ON button
This all works but it’s a lot of button pushes plus the lag time after the still image shows up and when the key button is pressed looks amateur.
Do you have any ideas of how to do this better? Macro maybe?

Is it possible, that i stand in front of a big green screen and that i place a display connected to the atem mini on the both side of the green screen, so that i can se where i am pointing at on the slides that i mix in the background of me (like a weather forcaster who points at the precipitation radar)?
Yeah you can definitely do that with a program out monitor. Sounds like a good video idea too ;)
With the ATEM pro iso with streaming. Can you have a green screen pre-reordered. To switch to while you are shooting a. Live stream of a client?

How did you get the "minecraft" picture in the background when it was not in your media pool?
that background was a camera feed of cardboard minecraft modela :D

Sure is! If you’re using the ATEM extreme you have 4 upstream keys which you can use on 4 video feeds
This is all new to me. We just used the Atem Mini yesterday for the first time at church. Can you use this for lyrics? How ? Thank you for sharing

We use MediaShout6.
We would like to have the lyrics showing at church be streamed as overlays (Transparent) to the livestream viewers.
We are using MS6 one computer presenting with the other laptop streaming obs, with the atem mini.

@@5150golfnut you should be to run that to one of the inputs on the ATEM and set that as the fill on one of the keyer tabs. I've not tested it but if does keep the alpha channel shouldn't even need to key it - just allow it to overlay . The downscreen key might be a better option.... I'll give it a go
Is there a way to switch between 3 cameras using the normal switching and maintain my greenscreen which is my set, and use an image from media pool,right now I have to switch Fill Source.

Thank you Tim. Very Helpful. Can you spend a little more time explaining the mask? What I am trying to do is have a tighter mask on me so that the background can be bigger than the Green Screen that I am in front of. I want to look like I am in a bigger space.
