@@naanbred2735 agreed, sanctus is just so fucking boring to fight because of his stupid bubble, but I do admit finishing him using the Buster grab with DT activated is very satysfing.
Apparently Credo was supposed to be the final boss and Gloria was going to be his sidekick, but they changed it. It’s nice that they still kept that feeling of a boss fight, considering that Credo is still a powerful force that holds significance to Nero.
I mean, isn't almost always like that? A final boss is like %40 of the time THE best. That is usually the case in character action games. Gow2? Sisters of fate. Dmc4. Credo. Bayonetta? Jeanne. Dmc5? For most people it's still cavalier. Gow3? For me it is zeus. But some people still like hercules or hades more.

Yea. If he is gonna use DT then don't put"No devil trigger" as part of the title of the video. And man i loved fighting credo. It's such an awesome figh.
This is my absolute favorite boss fight in this game, the first time I played the game I played this boss over and over again because whenever I had lost some health, I played more casual so that he would kill me and let me start over again! I'm serious, I did that like 3 times xD I've been looking for a good video showing this awesome fight without a noob playing, and I finally found THIS :D You fucking ACED this daawg! :D
Ok guys brainstorming what ifs: You know, as cool as it is, I think lady, Trish, and Vergil should have been replaced with Credo, Agnus, and Sanctus as playable characters. Credo would work more like a nelo Angelo Vergil as he does already, Agnus could pull of a lot of gimmicks with summoning his creations, and Sanctus would be able to be a complete boss with his abilities. They would have separate story modes that make their own version of dmc4 where Sanctus kind of wins against Dante, Agnus sets out to collect some data, and Credo goes out to hunt some demons. Each would gain extra abilities on their journeys that would turn up in their boss fights. These abilities would further be weapons or abilities that Nero and Dante can obtain when they go through Sanctus, Agnus' and Credo's story modes, adding to their own abilities. In the end, if everyone goes through each other's story modes, they get a new load of new powers, game modes, and extra story, adding tons of replay value and content to the game. I would imagine that Dante and Nero get a pen-ultimate segment when they go through the other characters stories 100% and end up fighting each other with Nero being "overcome" with power and having the insane moveset that Vergil has right now in DMC4SE along with an equally pumped up Dante but only accessed freely for that state of the game. These steroid versions of the characters would be accessed with a double devil trigger along with a costume, as well as the other characters gaining that dark devil trigger thing that enemies get for a double devil trigger. Idk, I think a version that includes this would be cool.
There are a lot of attacks like that that you can "catch": Credo's spear, Berial's attack where he jumps at you (if his flames are down, of course), Echidna's lunge (if she's in "female" form and not in snake form), Sanctus' "Stinger"-type attack in mission 20... I believe there's a vid on UA-cam that lists all boss attacks that can be "caught" with a buster, but I don't remember who posted it.
... one of the best battles in DMC4. Angelo Credo's armor is wonderful, celestial, one of the best than I have seen in a game! A doubt ... as do you get to catch the spear than Angelo Credo launches forth and to nail it down to him? When I try to catch it with the arm, he nails it down to me or the only Nero blocks it :(
Can anybody help me? A video seems to have been deleted of UA-cam now 3 years ago... It shows the fight against Credo with Nero in DMD, where the player made many dodges and provocations, without ever being affected. He used only the most complicated combo of the game to impose damage and it was really great to look... Somebody knows if this video was kept somewhere ?
You have to collect Blue Orbs hidden in levels , thanks for your comment . I use Devil Trigger only to dodge some attacks or stay in the air not to do extra damage so.....
Watching this boss gives me anxiety, no matter how good the person is at fighting him. I got so freaking angry over this boss when I fought him that it nearly made me rage-quit (though to be fair my energy was still cooling down after fighting Viper) ... the next day after several tries, breathing exercises, and self-encouragement, I finally somehow managed to beat it and I CHEERED out loud... granted I was but a mid teenager back then who didn't realize I could counter the spear attack and never understood the importance of dodging for some reason. Hopefully now as I work my way through SE I'll find through this fight that my skills have matured at least a bit since then.
Honestly the only part that genuinely makes this part frustrating on dmd is the summon javelin attack. Your basically required here to master the table hopper move if you wish to avoid the devil trigger variety
@halfbreed1426 If you look up some bosses, most of them have sort of a trigger that activates once they get low on health which makes them faster and more powerful. Don't know if that counts for your list though.
Different dodges at around 3:20 :o i only thought there were rolls in this game granted dodging was never my strength in this game xD lots of jumping usually even on hell and hell mode or non stop aggression.
It's called Table Hopper. After a successful close dodge he can "dash" to any direction or dodge with dashes other attacks. Exemple: You can use Table Hopper to dodge a Credo's spear throw , use the other two remaining dashes get right in front of him and start an attack! It also fill Style bar much more!
7:15 Nero : I can't possibly say he's the one who attacked me first , so I'll just stare at you silently
some games would have this be a final boss. interesting how good this is for just a normal boss
Too bad the actual final boss of this game is shit

No damage, no devil trigger, no canceling. He used devil trigger twice -.-
But he didnt use it.

I love how straightforward this fight is definitely one of my favorite dmc fights
"NO DEVIL TRIGGER" you lied.
God damn! Your timing to dodge is soo perfect!!
The simple and clean beat down! No flashy stuff, just pure technique and strategy. I. LOVE IT! XD And on must die mode? What a champ!

DkXboxer I think it's a good idea :) that would need a lot of work around the edges. But I think Vergil should stay cause he's awesome
Devil trigger used for DODGING, not for extra power.

For me, DT block doesnt count at using devil trigger.
its a superb technic maam!
@@victorleonardo9676 I think the implication is that he didn't do massive combos in his DT form. He used it long enough to exploit a specific ability.

Possibly the best boss fight in the series, at least in my opinion. It's one of the longer fights in the game, but it's damn worth it.
This was so impressive that I have no words.
I remember watching this same video as a kid. Ah, the good old days.
Suddenly I feel like I want to play this game again ...
lol that final shot was awesome xD
The essence of goodness of humanity makes Dante and Nero more powerful than the combination of any of the two angel or demon?
Which is precisely why DmC: Devil may Cry missed the point of the franchise by a mile
Humanity has heart, that which demons lack. Half-demons then have the strength of both, weaknesses of neither.
there are no angels in DMC4. its all demons.
@@thekrustaceox5181the order are demons posing as angels though
@@titaniumcranium3755 my point exactly, they're not angels.

Kenroll92 Are you talking about Raidauron who has many a dmd video with no damage for several boss fights?
For a 2009 gameplay, this is insane quality.

Wow. Not a scratch from Credo.
And who knew you could catch the spear? Amazing!
epic battle!! what do u use to record ur vids dude?
@NicholasGeschke I think they all carry huge swords because it's an anime sword fighting game, and CAPCOM? o:
Youre right for the ''dodge with DT" but the hit did te same damage, i desactived it just after the animation of the devil buster.
No max act or blue rose?
I think Credo has started some wars, y'know.
4:09 hello naked gun movie style)))
so through out the whole series, how many characters have their own devil triggers? i've got dante, virgil, nero, lucia, trish and credo. is that it?
Agnus, the savior
Huge swords for the WIN! It's one of the more sensible things in the series though, in perspective ;)
he isn't "dodging" with the DT he becomes "immune to damage" in DT.
Aurais-tu d'autre vidéo de DMC4 sous-titré en français sous la même qualité ?
Merci de bien vouloir me répondre :)
@halfbreed1426 So what about Agnus? Or Sanctus?
Did I see that right or was Credo on his DT mode at one point?
Since all enemies can go to DT just like Nero can
I liked this Fight, i would say that using the devil trigger only for the invulneravility frame counts a 50/50
no manches! el jugador es un genio! me dejo sorprendida
Do mission 20. It's very fast and gives a lot of orbs. Anyway, it's god for you tray to beat DMD difficult to infinity devil trigger.
How did you dodge like 3 attacks like a boss on 3:23 one after another like a ninja please tell me!
just to dodge is that really use devil trigger? i always remove it as i use it

that's table hopper, which is used automatically when you dodge roll (R1+stick to the side+X) with a good timing.
