I used to work on that ship many years ago We were busy all the time for the whole 9 months that my contract lasted and then I will go back home for 3 months and then back to the ship.
@@TripswithAngie I work at the catering department and doing prep in the kitchen,I work mostly with Italians, some British and I was the only Mexican in that particular area, but in the Kitchen I work with Filipino and Italians, those were long days of about 10 to 12 hours at day,9 months no days off,but the at the end of the day the crew party really hard at the crew bar,or at the crew mezzanine.
How does that happen...thought there were universal government laws toward days off, required. No one wants such contracts from staff at sea. Unkind work schedule...thank you for sharing and remembering. ~~~~ Even God took a day off after making Creation.
Hi, thanks for the tour, my mum is heading onboard to Iceland in September, your tour was packed full of information great stuff, added my sub as you head towards 10,000. Thanks for sharing. Tom
A great review of the Island Princess. We are having a cruise coming up and I have 2 questions. On other princess ships they have an international cafe, on the Island they say they have an La Patisserie, but I can't find it on map or on your tour. And, in your cabin I only saw two electric outlets and there should be one in bathroom area. is there any more ? thanks Mike
Hi Mike - we couldn't find La Patisserie either on a deck plan or on the ship. That's what it's not in the tour. If you clicked to read my review - you'll know I really missed International Cafe. Only two outlets in main cabin. There was an outlet for shavers in the bathroom.
@@TripswithAngie thanks for the quick reply. International cafe in center of ship is a fav place morning and afternoon place for a good cup of coffee. I'll find something. You had 3 outlets, I saw on video the electric outlets, so I know how what they look like, I know what to buy to buy to split power.
Just completed a two week cruise on the Island Princess to see the northern lights. Over all I was not impressed with the ship and the food was "fair" at best. I would take a look at other ship options in the future.
Anyone know if Nov Island Princess cruise through Eastern Mediterraean has any changes due to the war? My guess is that Israel will be out / cancelled 😞

What did you do on the ship?

Wonderful! Hope you have a great contract!
So negative about so many things! I love the buffet up front. It is spacious and light.
I share my perspective. 🤷🏼♀️

Do you need special adapters for the electrical plugs? Do they take US electronics male plugs?
What country do you live in?
Are there USB ports on the bedside lamps...Another post says there are. We are in Cabin D332 mini suite in a few weeks
It will show in the cabin tour if there were.
No!
I dont understand what you mean when you say the mini suite verandahs are not private and everybody can see you. Could you elaborate please ?. thanks.
I thought I showed it in the video? All the cabins above you can see down into your balcony.
@@TripswithAngie oh...i couldnt really tell by the video.i will watch again.tks.
Dated ship!
Yep. It's one of the older ones.
Worst buffet ever!
So sad they still allow smoking inside! Fortunately I don't ever use the casino, but sometimes have to walk through it.
Celebrity still has non smoking casinos with the exception of two ships that allow vaping.

It is an older ship.
Where did you cruise on this trip? I will be cruising the Island Princess in November doing the Eastern Mediterraean.
Baltics
I'm going in November also!!
@@riseandshine-motivateme1319 island princess? 9th to 23rd?
