All of these look delicious! Also, I would love a video talking about the different creme de cacaos and other "creme de..." liquers. Especially talking about different brands, budget vs fancier, etc.

Anders when I think of purist barmen, I think of you. I love that you keep the recipes traditional and don't stray into fads. Plus you appreciate a beautiful glass. My parents loved beautiful glasses and antique dishware and traveled the world collecting them. I am missing them this Christmas, but somehow seeing the Brandy Alexander glass reminded me of them. Cheers.

The Colleen Bawn is a play by an Irishman which is probably an english version of the Irish An Cailín Bán which would directly translate to The White Girl, which makes sense given the drinks appearance. Other translation interpretations could be White Lady, Pale Girl/Lady, Fair Girl/Lady

Love your video's. Need to throw this recipe out there for Christmas:
    White Christmas:
    2 oz Vodka
    .75 Peppermint Schnapps
    .75 Mozart White Chocolate Liquor
Mix and stir over ice then strain into a martini glass rimmed with red granulated sugar.
Keep up the great work Anders! And Merry Christmas!

Have to try that! 😃 Growing up in Sweden, we used to drink “Hot Lumumba” when/after skiing. It’s basically just hot chocolate with Cognac (or sometimes dark rum), but man that was good! Great memories 😃❤️

I remember keeping bar up on Madeline Island years ago. I went out there before the ice was out and we would get a lot of requests for the Wisconsin take on the Brandy Alexander. The more seasoned of my esteemed colleagues absolutely loathed making them because of how much work and mess was required. I on the other hand, found the drink charming and enjoyed making them. Needless to say, I backed myself into a corner on that one!😂

My Mother's favorite drink was the traditional Brandy Alexander. When we would travel or go to great restaurants - you would be surprised at how many bar tenders did not know how to make one. And did not have proper ingredients either. It was frustrating. But now that drinking is heavily on the scene again in America, it has come back. Too bad my Mother is not around to enjoy this period of the revival of proper cocktails in America.

One of my favorite “seasonal holiday drinks” is a bourbon flip, with bourbon that has been fatwashed in browned butter. And when your at it, making a more “complex” drink, use a rich, caramel sugar suryp (about 2/3 ounce) 👌🏻😍😋
It’s like drinking toffee/caramel/fudge candy, but still a nice bourbon drink. But one is usually enough 😁.

flip drinks always tend to be a one and done whenever i fancy one, but they're such a delight
made one for a menu at my work that kinda tastes like a christmassy porridge, involving scotch, allspice dram, oat syrup (1 part oat milk, 1 part sugar) and a whole egg, grated dark chocolate over the top

I would also add the New York Sour to this list, and the original Pisco Punch (the one with the aromatised red wine added to it).
I made an original cocktail for Christmas too a long time ago and called it the the Snow White. I made it like like a French 75, but subbed the gin for geniver, and the simple syrup for orgeat. Garnished with a cocktail cherry. Enjoy

Every time I hear you say here on the channel "Chartreuse is hard to come by these days" I feel somehow a little bit guilty that I have one bottle "verde" and "jaune" each in use and two bottles of each in stock back in the "reserve cabinet" of my bar. No problem at all over here in Europe to order online at many sources; although around 45,00 EUR which is 49.00 $... I wish I could wrap a christmas parcel for you because I feel you are in need of supply! 😇🍾🌲
🌡Minus 16° Celsius (3.2 F) here today, 50 cm of snow outside ☃❄- we are asked to stay home because traffic is in chaos. So I will have plenty of time to try some of these seasons cocktails - thank you for these recipes!

In Ireland a brandy Alexander is often served as Hennessy and Baileys....how would Baileys, Hennessy and some Mr black work? Must try it..

I've been loving the Kronan Swedish Punsch that you introduced us to a while ago. Try a Punsch Alexander, too! It's fantastic. I had two of them last night.

Great video as usual, may need to track down a few more bottles of liqueurs. Speaking of which, any chance you could do an intro to homemade liqueurs and infusions at some point?
