A stupid question: What is the reason for layering your claps? How does having to claps differ from one if they are on top of each other.
It gives your clap a completely different character. It could make them sound bigger or wider (if you for example layer it with a pre-shifted clap). You could also to it to take the best parts of different samples. Let's say I found one clap sample with a nice body, and another with a nice and crispy top end or great punch/transience. I could use the lower frequencies of the first clap and the high freq of the second to get the best of both worlds. Hope this helps a bit :D

Love your videos. Basic question. How do you get all those sounds in ableton. I have splice and can't find a way to have them in the side tab like you do with your "evolution of sound folder" . Still trying to get my head round ableton

I feel like the first build up comes too soon, would be hard for a DJ to mix that as it's breaking down after 30 seconds. Maybe have the intro for a minute or a minute and a half.
