They barriers are raised and lowered by a hydraulic pump unit so that gets a once over(they will get changed out if they begin to show signs of failure) and the large majority is keeping record of various voltages as well as checking relays, contacts and connections etc There’s a sequence of events triggered by different things so have to make sure that everything lines up and operates correctly/as intended!
@@IainCr Sounds like an interesting job. Is there any sort of failsafe mechanism built in to them that would, for example, drop the barriers in the event of a complete power failure or would a power failure just trigger red lights on the line ?
