If you ever have a significant enough gouge on a case half surface like that, you can skim Metal Set epoxy over it and sand it flush. Our Army repair depot uses this method on our helicopter gearboxes (magnesium) to repair corrosion pits. They do machine the surface back to flush but careful sanding would work well enough here.
New to dirt bikes and rebuild but Tusk makes a c clip adapter to pull the clutch side of the crank in. Did you just not have that part. I'm nervous about pushing because you didn't go into a whole lot of detail on how, you just mentioned pushing on that one part is a bad idea. Also, if the crankcase has likely never been separated, would you recommend replacing the transmission bearings? We didnt ride it but twice after buying it used before we having to do a top and bottom end rebuild so im in the middle of it. Thanks in advance!

Looked like lean detonation and crank bearing overheat from a leaking left crank seal. It’ll be little ripper when you’re done. Thanks for what you do!

Can you not have the cylinder recoated ?
We could but we are in a bit of a rush. Also, the price of the mini cylinders is actually not far off of re plating
