The Coral, the most under-rated band of the 90's? I think not, especially as their debut album was released summer 2002. It was only around that time they started to get some recognition. Don't get me wrong, I love the Coral and have been a fan since that first album, in my opinion they are one of the best bands of THIS decade.
apparently noel paid for the coral's recent tour, which is pretty nice of him! especially because I got to see them at Southampton and they were brilliant!
Noel is one of them that dont have to any thing and looks effortlessly cool,..looks easy but only mastered by a few,..Richards,Squire,Paul Simmon, and a couple others

Well they were a good 8 or 9 years apart in their debut albums, so it's hard to say the wrong band got famous, it was never a competition. I agree though, i think The Coral have a far better body of work. They're also far, far better musicians but that part isn't really up for debate. Shame neither of the original guitarists are in the band anymore though. The lad in now from The Zutons is alright but a bit too conventional, he lacks the creativity of the ones before.

They are an amazing band however no where near as underrated as the la’s . Doubt there would be the coral and definately not oasis without the la’s
