This was an obvious monster hit a wonderful song that they left on the shelf.. The Coral had to many good songs to choose from and I think they needed a good manager with an ear for top singles instead of letting them have their way with song choices all the time. Listen to Cobwebs also which is one of the best songs I've ever heard. Coney Island is brilliant even though its not radio friendly but this was a criminally underrated album.
James Skelly on ‘Rebecca You’: "It’s one of my favourite songs we’ve ever done. We’ve always wanted to sound like we do in that song - it’s hard to explain, but every time we put it on it feels like someone else is playing it. It feels right when you put it on."
Again, the Coral left this obvious monster hit on the shelfs from a criminally underrated album.. This song is a classic yet nobody has hardly even heard of it as it gathers dust on the UA-cam shelf..
That has to be the best performance I have seen from them and I've seen them enough times, including with Bill in the band, but that performance from Lee on guitar just blows me away.
This was Rebecca when she first moved here..Rebecca You..where do you hide and what do you do..Rebecca You..you're out of reach..you've built a wall around you I can't breach..no way through..Rebecca You.. I love you Rebecca You!!
Bill Ryder Jones IS Sooooo Good On The Lead!!! It's A Criminal Offence That Know One (Only Fans & Other Guitarist's) knows Him!!! Or maybe it's Better That Way!? Who Knows!? Class Band

@@leesouthall6009 i think the outro just edges Careless hands from Jools Holland. Another belting live performance 👍. Also your part on roving jewel is frickin genius
@@leesouthall6009 Whether you ever rejoin the Coral or not fella, keep writing, playing, singing and putting stuff out, 'cos you're brilliant at all of it. Had "Iron in the Fire" on in the car for months now, partly because I can't be arsed changing it, and partly because it's a top record!
@@leesouthall6009 Yes! Please come back! Even though your "Shade of Blue" solo is a favourite of mine, but you not in The Coral... Is just not the same xx
One of the best and most professional collection of musicians, ever!
Probably the best song ever, melts my soul, just pure magic❤
I'm laughing at how brilliant this and STILL how criminally underrated this band are.
I know. It's crazy. Their back catalogue is incredible and up there with anybody.
Agreed. I just recently found them..and they are super talented.

Linick your like The Corals version of Liam Gallaghers Biblical guy . Keep up the good work 👍 some great uploads mate. 👍
mainstream music industry criminally has buried this treasure alive...
the best kept secret in music!
shhhh
First saw these open for Oasis at Finsbury Park 2002. Now one of best bands must have seen them 10 times and have every record truly amazing.
Lee and Ian are just amazing in this one!
Love this ending!
The most underated band ever.....pure class

Fekin brilliant lads.
These guys are as good as any pop band I've heard. What's up with them? Can't believe they have under 100k views.
great night this. traveled from The Wirral to London, to watch a band from The Wirral, but it was worth it!
Just amazing
Awesome!

Go 'ead Lee Southall
The most ridiculously talented band, need to get touring again
How do they get that sound and feel? Genius
Need Lee back. Saw them at Wiltons and he was amazing, as were the rest.
20th anniversary of the debut next year, so you never know we might see him again. Hope he's making music still wherever he is.
Stunning

BRJ is a beast, but it's the equally talented Lee Southall playing here.
@@tcaudiobooks737, Didn't Know That!!! Cheers

What does it mean by Mercury Prize Session considering that this album (criminally) wasn't shortlisted?
Does anyone know what type/model guitar Lee Southall is playing in this please??
An electric guitar.
oh bill...
Oh Lee surely?
