Starfy was one of my favorite games on the DS! The game is now super nostalgic to me and I have a lot of good memories playing it. It also has a very memorable final boss and an amazing story⭐️

No idea if this one instance influenced the entire Switch marketing campaign up to launch, but I thought it was neat to see.

Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood was so good! My pick would prolly be Skies of Arcadia (Wait, did it have to be a Nintendo franchise?). I just want SOMEBODY to pick that franchise up and bring its creators' dreams to life. What a fantastic game that was, as was its Gamecube port with many added features.
Imagine hating Tails. In the games, he's just as fast as Sonic, but he can also fly, and in the shows, he's also smart, AND he's a heckin' cutie. If Knuckles didn't exist, Tails would be my fave.

I was getting nervous because my sister was gonna have a baby at the time… so I was worried I was going to miss the birth of my first nephew. Turns out he was late and I ended up in the Star Fox Zero trailer (and I disagree with you two, the game is great and the controls have a curve but not as curved as Kid Icarus)

I wonder if I’m in the minority, but I am not fan of the Miis, simply because I don’t want to be *me* when playing. I want to be someone else. So if the avatars would have a different design I think I would have liked the idea better. Like in MK8 I rather be Link than a Mii in the UI. And would be neat if you could make custom designed avatars and race them.
Building off of the “is it worth it to visit Nintendo HQ?” question, the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life was visit Nintendo HQ in Kyoto. I found the original building first, then walked to where they are now just to look and get pictures. I think I sat in a little park across the street for a while too lol. So yes, it would be worth it.
I just noticed the amiibo you both have in the background. That's cute. I do miss when Nintendo used to do really silly skits like E3 2014 or the reggie robot video on UA-cam. That kind of stuff really embodies what Nintendo is about which is fun first and foremost.
Since Iwata passed Nintendo lost their weirdness quirkiness and closeness to their fans a lil bit. The current Nintendo is losing a bit of their charm even though their games still amazing
I love my WiiU - it's too bad that it was sort of a one-of-a-kind to develop for, so it was held back. Pikmin 3 - the WiiU is still the way to play, compared to the recent release. Also, Xenoblade Chronicles X - having a touchscreen map in your hand is amazing while having a clean screen on the TV. Hopefully Nintendo can find a way to be accessible for development of standard titles while being able to have a dynamic controller in your hand.
Question for the Egglia developers! Did any Nintendo games you work on, influence or inspire egglia? And if so did they influence any game mechanics, themes or easter eggs that are in the game?
I love Starfy so much!! One of my favorite childhood games! I really hope he we get a new one some day. Even ports of all the past JP only ones would be a dream come true.
Regarding giving a Nintendo IP to an Indie game studio, I would also give Splatoon to an Indie studio, but I would have them make an XCOM or Mario+Rabbids style of game where the campaign would be Inklings vs Octolings. Players would pick a side. Missions would have some crossover but each side would unique missions/maps as well. Players can choose the weapons load out with the guns and specials. I really think that style of tactics game could work well with Splatoon. As for the Indie studio, I’m not familiar enough with those studios to say who would be best.
I don't play very many indies, but I think WayForward would be the perfect company to handle a new Wario Land game. Shantae is basically just Wario Land: it's a 2D platformer, the main antagonist is a busty female pirate, the newer games have a hand-drawn art style like Shake It, both have character transformations... I think it's a match made in heaven. They also make a lot of 2D platformers with female leads, so I think it'd be cool to see them make a sequel to Super Princess Peach, whic is a criminally underrated game.

That Egglia game is actually really fun but the droolingly simple combat made me stop playing it. I like everything else about it, and feel like that style of game could be good, but he should have added in some type of blacksmith/weapon/armor upgrading and creation component. Anything to add depth. The level design was shallow and the same two floor dungeon each time. Interesting concept though and I hope he expands and deepens it with future titles.

Yeah, the multiplayer in Elden Ring is pretty lacking, missed the mark. I wish you could simply join a friend's world and just...play together. No limits on how far you can explore, no criteria of a boss being nearby, no being sent back to your own game on death or a boss being defeated. It would have been so much better if it was simply multiplayer, like how you generally think of it. Join someone's world, explore together freely and stay as long as you want. I don't understand why they went this bizarre direction with so many restrictions on what you can actually do. I get that it's similar to how the Dark Souls games were, but this is a new IP. They had a chance to do something new and big. I don't know. I just think if they're going to put resources and effort into adding multiplayer in the first place, they should've gone ahead and made it a more fully fledged multiplayer experience.

My ELDEN RING tip would be to go back to the previous areas (including Caelid) and level up a bit. I think I heard Kit say he’s around Level 60 last week. I was like Level 90 by the time I dug into Altus Plateau, and it’s still difficult but far more manageable. You gotta grind. EDIT: LOL, I got further into the video by a minute and you guys said the same thing. Definitely, yeah.
Wii sports resort btw is number 2 best selling on wii so not ENTIRELY underrated. But it does feel like it for some reason. I really hope that free roam is still yet to be revealed tho like pleaseee

Kirby and The Forgotten Land has the best boss music lol I am still listening to that track after relistening to your video! My cursed moment of E3 for Nintendo was the talk of Wii U. I was like ohhhh NO, I’m not interested lol. Treehouse Live is GREAT!!! I LOVE TREEHOUSE for Nintendo because of what you said, solid game play only. As much as we can talk about the failure of Wii U, it’s only success was that it forces Nintendo to realize that the company needed to approach us as their fans in a progressive manner. So for that I am sooo thankful for that. I have different feelings of live performances. I’m good with live if it’s true to my interests but if I am doing something live we’re I have to remember lines (like broadway or talking about what you want me to talk about) I get so nervous because it’s not mine. I REMEMBER STARFY! Don’t do that Krysta! Lol just kidding! I want more sports for the Switch game, specifically Boxing, Cross Country, and I WISH there was a way to have Gymnastics. 100% Kirby and the Forgotten Land with my son. I don't remember who said it, but it's more like Mario 3D World than Odyssey, but it was pretty good. I don't remember which stage, but I think there was one in the post game that seemed really open, or it might be the Snow stage, but I think that is how it could work more open world for Kirby, which I think could work well.
I never understand when somebody says they love a game, but they won't do the side stuff. I can understand with some instances, like the Korok Seeds of BotW, or completing all the lists in Dragon Quest Builders 2, but when even small sidequests are not enticing in any way, even if only for experience points, maybe you don't actually like the game.
Ooh, you should look into a mod for Super Mario World called One Mind. Basically you have two separate controllers plugged in and you play SMW while the game is regularly switching control back and forth from player 1 to player 2. You can even customize the timer to shorten or lengthen the interval between control shifts.
Great pick on who to marry, Krysta! 😆 Be careful when progressing in Elden Ring without doing some of the side quests cause at a certain point you'd get locked out of some of them. Also, Spirit Ashes are pretty helpful!

My ELDEN RING tip would be to go back to the previous areas (including Caelid) and level up a bit. I think I heard Kit say he’s around Level 60 last week. I was like Level 90 by the time I dug into Altus Plateau, and it’s still difficult but far more manageable. You gotta grind. EDIT: LOL, I got further into the video by a minute and you guys said the same thing. Definitely, yeah.

Wii sports resort btw is number 2 best selling on wii so not ENTIRELY underrated. But it does feel like it for some reason.

My cursed moment of E3 for Nintendo was the talk of Wii U. I was like ohhhh NO, I’m not interested lol. Treehouse Live is GREAT!!! I LOVE TREEHOUSE for Nintendo because of what you said, solid game play only. As much as we can talk about the failure of Wii U, it’s only success was that it forces Nintendo to realize that the company needed to approach us as their fans in a progressive manner. So for that I am sooo thankful for that.
I have different feelings of live performances. I’m good with live if it’s true to my interests but if I am doing something live we’re I have to remember lines (like broadway or talking about what you want me to talk about) I get so nervous because it’s not mine.

I want more sports for the Switch game, specifically Boxing, Cross Country, and I WISH there was a way to have Gymnastics. Ooooo a rock climbing game that allows you to just reach and grab would be cool. Those last two are literally difficult though.

100% Kirby and the Forgotten Land with my son. I don't remember who said it, but it's more like Mario 3D World than Odyssey, but it was pretty good. I don't remember which stage, but I think there was one in the post game that seemed really open, or it might be the Snow stage, but I think that is how it could work more open world for Kirby, which I think could work well.
I never understand when somebody says they love a game, but they won't do the side stuff. I can understand with some instances, like the Korok Seeds of BotW, or completing all the lists in Dragon Quest Builders 2, but when even small sidequests are not enticing in any way, even if only for experience points, maybe you don't actually like the game.
Ooh, you should look into a mod for Super Mario World called One Mind. Basically you have two separate controllers plugged in and you play SMW while the game is regularly switching control back and forth from player 1 to player 2. You can even customize the timer to shorten or lengthen the interval between control shifts.

Be careful when progressing in Elden Ring without doing some of the side quests cause at a certain point you'd get locked out of some of them. Also, Spirit Ashes are pretty helpful!
