Growing up we use this in our hair along with the castor oil and our hair was thick, long and really healthy 🇯🇲
Just so everyone knows this Cactus🌵 in spanish it's called "Nopal"
Growing up in Jamaica 🇯🇲 my grandma used to wash my hair with this she called it “Tuna”and man when I tell you my hair was longggggg with soooo much body ..I second this notion ‼️‼️
I read: "Cactus plants are great at storing moisture. It kind of follows then that cactus oil is one of the best moisturizing agents you can find for your hair, due to its high vitamin content. Cactus coats hair follicles with a layer of protection, making hair soft, strong, and shiny." I going to try this. Thanks for sharing!
Where I am from we call it tuna plant and I have always use it in my hair. I have not experience any extra growth in my hair nor have I seen any change in the length of others hair. If you have short hair it does not make it grow and your long hair will remain the same length. It is just an nice natural product to use if you don't have shampoo or conditioner.

We call this tuna in Jamaica. This was a common ingredient in our natural hair regimen.
Yea tuna, we used it as children growing up in Jamaica and I remember the hair's thickness afterwards thanks for the info, I will definatelybe using it again!
cactus is a very nutritious plant we use it in the Caribbean we use it as a shampoo and also as a treatment for our hair we use it and make drink and we also take the young plant and we cook it and eat it
Fayette I have use nearly everything post on UA-cam to address my thinning hair and girl you hit the nail on it head with this one. Now granted I just saw your video yesterday and ran out to the store today to get the cactus 🌵 leaves before I shampoo my hair, and let me tell you I have noticed the difference right away, now of course I can’t say it’s stopped thinning already but the feel of my hair is so different, it feels softer and silky and just better. And I’ve tried coffee, and rice water and onion etc etc, and nothing has felt so different so fast. I’m thrilled. I’ll keep you posted as I go along, but I think this is the right one for me.

Ive used it its really great! The plants grow wild in my neighbourhood the beauty of being in Africa Aloe Vera is easy to grow, Moringa is all around us and so is Neem and Avocados! Thank you for all your tips! God Bless you!
When I met my beautiful Grandma, she washed my hair with this & when I can get it in the UK, I use it. It's fabulous! Traditional Caribbean shampoo.
So I’ll shampoo with cactus, use aloe Vera as leave in conditioner, then some coconut for yummy ness😋. I love my natural 4c hair
For anyone who maybe wondering, the cactus is called Prickle Pear. Opuntia ellisiana is the Spineless Prickly Pear. I think the one she bought had thorns, which explains the scraping @
