Well, he lost $49,000 selling it back to them a bit over a year later (just going off the youtube video dates), and the guy said 'you're not going to make a mistake with a piece like this'...
Thanks Adam for convincing Michael to do the trade deal on camera! We do indeed love to see negotiations/trades/purchases made by Michael. In fact it might be the best part of the videos.
He seems like such a genuinely nice guy. I’m glad he’s enjoying himself. True, family and health are far more important than watches or cars but if you have it all nothing wrong with that.
On the AP watch, the Blue & Yellow version was built for the European Ryder Cup team (Euro Flag is Blue and Yellow) that are sponsored by AP (I believe 4 of the 12 players are sponsored by AP). They did a Red/White and Blue version for 2 of the US team players that are also sponsored. Great looking pieces

It’s a truly rare insight, comparable to only, possibly, visiting a watch museum. Its indisputably one of the most expensive hobbies one can have, however presented tastefully and with love and respect for the art itself.
Why Niels? No one, practically no one knows that watch when he's out wearing it costs $120,000. It's just signaling to other wealthy people that he's got it. Why did Michael mention that Mr. Wonderful Kevin O'Leary just bought one? He wants to keep up with him.

@ProducerMichael I am a fellow ex-Brit Pat like yourself and have been collecting wristwatches for well over 45 years having had from The Holy Trinity watches. If money was no object and I could only have one fine piece that I can be comfortable wearing most of the time the platinum A.Lange Sohne Zeitwek hour striker you just picked up would be the one to have and the best in your collection so far. V&Cs and PPs are great at the high complication level as Breguets can be very elegant but most of the time they are not as wearable as that Lange. Brilliant choice by a mile. Congrats Michael, you are blessed!
The baffling mystery is not just RM watches are hideous, its how they managed to convince people to spend 500K on their watch made of rubber and nearly impossible to tell the time and it's only been around for less than 20 years as a company.
I appreciate his authenticity as much as his naïveté . Love, love, love the watch you bought. A.Lange & Sohn is such a great watch. The Reverso was also very, very cool. Also enjoyed the Rolex Pecachu (?). Loved the strap with the dial color combination. For the price, the Corum bridge was exceptional.
Michael has talked about the Zeitwerk a few times, so it's cool to see him get one. I can relate. The hunt is half of the fun, and not trying to be a jerk, but according to him, it's one of his favorite watches, but he didn't know that the time display was numerical? 🤣I thought that was the appeal of that watch. Very rare and difficult complication. I'm not aware of another one. Love to hear Michael talk about his likes and dislikes in watches.
