Window shopping for caravan you are allowed to dream, The zoo is more modern since we used to visit in the 70s, The park, gardens are well kept, was the original water source for early settlers, as the Burnett river is tidal, Enjoyed vid, The free camp area, that night is Ti ----row, And it's Har---- Vey Bay, Cheers Bevan 🤠❤️🇦🇺
Hi JS, Nothing wrong with doing 'Caravan' window shopping. We have all done that. 😀 I do prefer a swag on a stretcher with an awning out from the car. Unfortunately there are more and more Counsels and National Parks insisting on 'Self Contained' to stay at the locations and it seems to be the 'Expectation' of the future. ☹. I have experienced packing the camper trailer up in the rain and packing up in a different location every day and, like you, I have found it to be unpleasant. I will be getting a van where packing up involves closing the door. 😁. I think you are looking at the right type of van. Single axle will also reduce the weight. Great Vision on the Zoo and the Botanic Gardens.
Cheers mate! 🍻 I could easily do a swag and call it a day, but the misses has a point that if we’re living on the road we need some creature comforts. We’re finding over east here almost all places want self contained now which is a bit of a pain
Window shopping for caravan, you can always dream, Used to go to the zoo in the 70s, it has all changed , more animal friendly, modern, The park ,gardens ,was the original fresh water source, for the early settlers, as the Burnett river is tidal, Thanks for showing some of my ex home city, Ti----ro was your over night stay, Har------vey, is your next stop, Cheers Bevan 🤠❤️🇦🇺
When cleaning the van mouldings use white magic. That should bring them up a treat. Another great episode. Kept an eye out for you in the way up but missed you. Might see you on our way back down. Safe travels 😎
Love our pop top jayco, so we'll set out. Easy to tow and great for 2 people. Not hard to set up and love the breeze you get through in the tropics. We have had no issues with ours over 6 years ownership and many long trips through Queensland. Cheers Stewart
Much the same with our little van! Love the breeze and how far we can take it offroad! And the fact it’s so light! We’re just window shopping for now, the better half is on love with a shower toilet though! 🍻🍻
@@JS_Adventure yes yours looks a great setup, and very roomy. We use a thetford portable toilet in the van and have a shower tent when free camping with a Coleman Aquacube system works great.
I like this episode so far . its a pretty tough decision between the smaller basic vans and then the flash has everything vans . and being able to justify the price .. I like your van because it's small and simple but then I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between a roof top tent and awning tent setup on your car and owning a van. except for not having to pack everything up if u wanna leave for a drive .. coz I wanna tow my boat trailer Instead .. I've already got most things campers would have and same as a Carvan. I'm thinking it comes down to a sealed weather proof enclosure. with space .
Cheers mate! 🍻 We love this little van but with the amount we chop and change camps the unpack/pack up/winding up and down is starting to take it’s toll. Would love a shower/toilet and a bit more space inside but that’s us dreaming! Funny thing is we are looking at a similar setup to you in the near future with a hard shell rooftop/awning and little tinny, as the misses is heading home for a couple of months and I’m simple 🤣 and won’t need the van
@@JS_Adventure I'm a little worried about the winding up and down of my crown as it seems to put a lot of pressure on the wire mechanism I have come across an Australian company that makes a automatic hydraulic system that does away with the wire winding system but a little pricey at 3k not including fitting
Would that be jackajay? We’ve looked into it but thought the same! I wouldn’t want to spend that much knowing that sometime down the track we will be looking for at upgrading.

I think I’ve also seen somewhere on Facebook somebody doing it themselves with a small 12v winch and actuators but that’s way too technical for me! 🤣
Sorry my reply got lost , silly me 😂
