20 minutes relaxing with Dylan and my morning coffee I watch your videos on my HD TV through my iPhone. Wonderful technology and a great method for enjoying your highly anticipated videos!
topper mast on a yacht - ideal for canals and rivers it is in one of the films type topper into the search function - but it a basically a wooden frame
Self-tacking main, heh? That's what I need. I've been thinking of trying to turn my O'Day 22 into a ketch-rig. Much work to make it happen but the self-tacking makes short work of the river routes. Thanks for another meditation, er, sail.
Great video, with an interesting rig. Its amazing that a topper sail can power your boat against the flow of the river. Will you add a kicker next time?
I am amazed too - I have a better plan - I have swapped a decent Squib main for an old main and a genoa - I am going to have a loose footed main on the proper mast, a crutch on the stern and a two part purchase so that I can get a half decent river rig up and running - watch future films

Always love watching your vids Dylan, thanks :) Hopefully one day I will get my own boat; it looks very relaxing just floating along.

That is a nice rig!
Just curious on how you manage to step and un step the big rig by yourself.
PS - loose footed is easier - so not going to go down the kicker route
well worth putting the rig together to avoid the damned engine though

Looked as though the rowers left more of a wake then you!
How was your temporary mast stepped?
