Still not worth it. It will be almost like back in season 8 and 9 that we had 25% crit. Adcs were with 4 crit items to get 100% and the last two were situacional like angel and death's dance. To not get oneshoted by assassins. I remember Riot said that they were nerfing crit % because adc role was tanky with 2 or 3 situacional items while they can have 75% or 100% crit chance and assassins couldn't do much to get them down.
I would unironically love it if Riot added a Legendary Item for each Boots that exists in the game, so that people aren't always having to sell their boots for a Legendary Item in the late game and it would also add more to consider when buying your first pair of boots!
@@PresTsukasa Boots cannot be enchanted before a certain timelapse, it costs 1000 gold and has a 2 minute cooldown, not to mention way better and more competitive enchantments are available. You only pick Zhonya if that stasis would win you the game, because if not, well, you have to pay quite a bit of gold to swap enchantment back.

I can't believe they remove 2 of the most fun runes to use, I'm so sad to see Predator go, since Jumpscare Warwick is some of the funniest shit I've ever done, not to mention movespeed singed in One For All or Urf. Not everything needs to be meta for it to be in the game, sometimes you can just have fun options.
Honestly I'm surprised we haven't had a total Boots Rework in the decade League's been around. We had Boot enchants for a while but that wasn't... *great.* It'd be interesting to see them diversify out in some way.
other mobas such as smite straight up removed boots from the game and gave the movement speed by default to every champion, I think it could also work for league, maybe have movement speed scale with levels up to lvl 6 or 8
@@yessir4878 I mean if anything it's giving you more choice, the only choice you have between boots is if you want mr, armor or cd/attack speed and most of these "choices" are honestly champion dependent, for example, yes gragas can go armor boots or mr boots but he will 9/10 times want cd boots and he won't ever pick the attack speed boots with movement speed being a given you can instead invest in a 6th item opening your build potential infinitely more than the 5 boots the game offers you some players already do sell their boots once they hit full build, now the only thing I see being bad in this exchange is that buying a 6th item currently you have to sacrifice movement speed for that extra strenght, which, for some champions, is simply not worth it as they might lose the ability to run from fights or chase the enemy, however, again, more freedom of choice, you could build a 6th item that gives you movement speed giving you more movement speed than the enemy See what I'm saying, opening that 6th item slot can really open your build possibilities and give you way more choice first and foremost it's 1100 more gold you can spend on any component you want early game and second, you need mr early game? build an mr item instead of merc treads, need tenacity? build steraks or wit's end, etc.

the Rapid Fire we got at the moment has a Range cap of 150 of that 35% . The new one has that keyword removed. With that an Average ADC with 550 Range gets ~190 instead of the capped 150. thats only on low ranged adc.....thats massive
Finally BOTRK has been nerfed. That item be dealing 10k dmg on its own, beating everything else. Item designed to kill tanks but currently is good vs all champs

Homeguard enchantment could always be slapped on any pair of boots before they removed it and just gave it to everyone post 14 minutes (20 originally). Mobos were never a rework of homeguard lol. The global boost *was* the rework.
I think the thing that has upset me most is that items seem to just be stat sticks, like dominics was the tank killer and is now just lethality infinity edge, phantom dancer lost it's passive, it just feels like they said well you have more items now so you should be happy even though we are removing the interesting parts of a few of the items we let you keep, like wth riot
yeah for items the stats are often the least relevant thing - its the passives that matter; do you need anti heal or do you need to kill tanks? Do you want to reduce crt dmg or slow their attack speed - thats what we want to ask ourselves when buying stuff not "uga booga more ad uhh"

i think giving primarily adcs an effective sixth item slot is actually rly fine. They ought to rule the lategame with impunity, and nfn Ive see aatrox be bigger dps threats than adcs in the lategame.

Apparently it's not enough to have the highest synergizing statlines putting their damage higher than everyone else, they also have to have Cassiopia's passive as a class wide item giving them stats every ADC will want.
Those changed Navoris seem really weird. Like half of the good stuff about Navoris Quickblades was that Critical Strike Chance increased your Ability damage, synergizing with AD "Mages" like Ezreal or GP who wanted to build crit but were still heavily reliant on their Abilities. Now it's just the CDR and not much to scale their Abilities apart from the additional CDR per Attack. So probably more as a safety tool to get long CD repositioning abilities back off CD.
@@IMIv2 the issue with that is, that only very few champions who are ability reliant and synergize well with navori cdr do also have abilities which benefit from IE crit damage increase.
The main problem with this change is that it gives attack speed. Champions that build navori didn't need the attack speed, they wanted the ability damage amp and cdr from basic attacks, since they had plenty of attack speed just in their kit or other items
Removing Sheen from Essence Reaver is odd considering it just screws over the build of a few specific champs who now will probably have to go Trinity to make up for it but then delay their 100% crit chance until next game. I guess they forgot that the item was basically added to compensate for the removal of crit chance from old Trinity... Oh well, surely it will only take them 3 patches or so to figure out what they've done.
This item has some unfair issues: 1. It is cheap as hell, giving chaps very fast poverspike (especially for gp) 2. And especially for gp, ezreal and smolder this item just deletes mana bar. I think removing sheen from essence reaver is a good step to force that champs build diff sheen items, but it's main problem is mana restoring so ya, this item is cursed

It was fine in GP's case because its not like hes overpowered, Smolder abused it more because of his longer ranged point and click. GP is just fucked once these changes come out, no Navori, no sheen and crit on Essence, I guess we're going back to Q spam Grasp GP.
I'd imagine the Yun Tal Wildarrows item would be really good on Jhin. The item's damage scales with AD, and he is forced to space out his attacks anyways so there's less wasted refreshes on the DoT.
i think this is a nerf to adcs. bloodthirster and other really good items not giving crit is horrible. it basically means you have to choose one of them. yasuo and yone on the other hand get a massive buff from this, since they only need to build 2 crit items and dont have to care about crit after thata.

agree with the first part, but not the second. Items give you more as out the gate (on-hit ones), so that means you attack faster at the start, procking pta faster, doing more damage the whole fight, so it negates the removal (kind of). But the good part is that with botrk you now also deal good dmg to non-tanks, so on-hit adcs are more viable even in normal comps. Not just vs full tanks

blackfire might be interesting on syndra late game, 20% possible extra ap from item on top of 15% from her passive and 35% from rabadons that’s 70% extra ap in total which sounds absolutely absurd
1:57 WTF IS THIS? One of the biggest problems right now is how devastating being hit by cc is, and they keep nerfing and removing tenacity from the game.
The removal of 5 AD and 5 % Armor Pen doesn't make up for the fact that Mortal Reminder is essentially straight up better with its Grievous Wounds passive whereas you'd almost always go LDR due to its bonus damage to tanks. Now, it's the reverse.

It is just me or they really inverted the legendery crit items back before the mythic items system. If I remember right, most item has the same crit chance (except LDR), some of them got back the stats they lost (for exapmle the qss item the lifesteal), and some more.
I like some of the changes, the ADC gameplay is going to change a lot in this split. But in general, the items have changed, but at the same time they've got reverted to how they used to be several seasons ago, like the neverending changes on BoTRK, back & forth changing the slow effect, or Mercurial went back to how it was a few years ago, too. Same for Rapid Firecannon. They think they'll fool us into thinking they actually do something for the game.
Not sure about the removal of Lethal Tempo, but the other item changes was nice. It felt like a blast from the past really. Also, the addition of Overlords Bloodmail would be a fun item to run on a ranged tank build, in conjunction with Titanic or Heartsteel - Tank Ashe: Revamped
i just tried this on ww in practice. titanic + bloodmail+er (so i never run outta mana) +ie + phantom dancer (for ghost+atk speed)+ any other filler crit item.( like a 35-40% armor pen one) and he gets like 500 ad with 100% crit with autos doing 1k dmg per on minions

And ww ulti doesnt benefit from the critt, thats why for all years of existence of league ww has had better benefits of onhit items since your ulti attacks 5 times i believe it is but with a fixed dmg before applying the onhits.
Dude idk how to feel about this. Some items got buffed, some got nerfed. The 25% is massive, but also a lot of builds got entirely nuked and basically have to re develop a new build. It doesn’t make sense, I don’t know if this is a buff, I don’t know if this is a nerf, feels like they’re just fucking around with items for the sake of it. ADC stays not catching a break man ;-;

essence reaver seems a bit too strong on jinx, in the video jinx has around 188 AD and essence is giving back 23 mana per auto. Considering Jinx needs 20 mana per auto for her rockets I can see her rushing this item and only spamming rockets for the rest of the game which seems too oppressive considering her rockets already deal 110% AD and at level 9 she'll have 725 range, she can permanently poke u with rockets and has excellent wave clear. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of the mana cost on her rocket autos...

That's the entire point of ER existing. If it didn't give you infinite mana, no one would build it. It's why some people used to build it on MF, Cait or Xayah. Mana shouldn't be an issue for adcs, their power is not really on their abilities.

I dont think u understand how broken it is on jinx, most of jinx's power is locked behind mana, her rocket auto's are extremely strong as they provide her with +200 range 10% extra AD on each auto, AOE, wave clear, these are all extremely valuable assets on an ADC and the only reason it's balanced on jinx is because it's gatekeeped by mana, she has to expend large quantities of mana in the early game to keep autoing even a few times with her rocket. ADC's are built around the fact that they have no waveclear early game and have to properly farm and manage waves in order to succeed, the problem is that essence reaver negates all of these issues that keep her balanced. There's a reason that stattik shiv keeps getting nerfed time and time again, because the wave clear it provides is really strong and jinx's winrate spikes everytime stattik is viable.

ON hit will be stronger trouughout game. Spell adcs will be weaker, crit adcs will be weaker early but stronger late. Draven will love new crit item and increased AD on IE. I see crit draven being very strong. Kogmaw, varus, twitch, vayne all will be stronger than traditional basic attack crit adcs like jinx, xayah, zeri, etc...
Crit ADCs are screwed til lategame (with the exception of the lane bullies) but the on-hit champs will be thriving now that you seemingly have to decide between crit chance or a halfway decent item passive

Infinity edge needs to have a lock mechanic for its crit dmg amp like before. All adc's will always rush infinity edge, and those who will be meta will be most likely the ones that can abuse it the best. We are talking about adc's that have some sort of guaranteed crit on their spells or passive or have an absurd range to poke someone and be bleesed by rng ( technically you can guess when you crit based of how many non crits, if for example you hit 3 hits on minions and none of them was a crit your next aa most likely will be a crit based of 25% crit ratio, and yes crits in league have that mechanic to prevent players to be completely screwed over by crit chance).
Finally ive been asking for an upgrades to boots for eons. For anyone asking, it just feels so bad to know that selling or not selling boots is the superior option depending on the game and yet still feeling bad for making that option. If you keep boots it feels like a waste of gold , if you sell for something it is just annoying suddenly having less movment speed. This just feels better. And if its too strong i hope they find a way to balance around it cause i really want it to stay

Nerfs*, Kraken got gutted. IE buff is huge tho, but he doesnt have a good second crit item to buy. New build is gonna be like IE + Crit item + Attack speed item.
Blackfire Torch looks really interesting for the champs like Swain and Kennen. Combine it with Radabaan and you get some really good numbers from these items alone in a teamfight. Can't wait to play around with it. Also depends of the AP ratio on the burn effect.

@@jackbordar2727 that's exactly where it says it. First hit deals [base damage] + 22.5% ap and sucessive hits deal 10% more. So increasing your ap after the first hit does nothing
@@alex2005z nope, I just tested it with a dummy. I pressed R and it did 345 dps without an item. Now I pressed R and bought an item while it was active and now I have 436 dps. So it very much does count. If you don't believe me, than go test it yourself. Or in math terms x+(x*0.1)=y ; y+(y*0.1)=z. in that equation if x changes to anything else, so does z, even retro actively.

tbh everyone's got so much %hp or armor pen anyways, I think it's a fine change. But more than that, Tank meta is far and away less egregious than yone meta.
Idk, adc is gonna have full crit by 4 items now so they gonna melt tanks faster, i dont think botrk and ldr nerfs gonna compensate for the buff to having a non crit 5th item

Getting one extra utility item slot (merc scim, guardian angel, zhonya's for Kaisa, bloodthirster, etc) is totally fine imo. You're still the single squishiest class in game, and having ubermensch damage is totally fine as a tradeoff

I can't believe they remove 2 of the most fun runes to use, I'm so sad to see Predator go, since Jumpscare Warwick is some of the funniest shit I've ever done, not to mention movespeed singed in One For All or Urf.

Honestly I'm surprised we haven't had a total Boots Rework in the decade League's been around. We had Boot enchants for a while but that wasn't... *great.* It'd be interesting to see them diversify out in some way.
other mobas such as smite straight up removed boots from the game and gave the movement speed by default to every champion, I think it could also work for league, maybe have movement speed scale with levels up to lvl 6 or 8

@@yessir4878 I mean if anything it's giving you more choice, the only choice you have between boots is if you want mr, armor or cd/attack speed and most of these "choices" are honestly champion dependent, for example, yes gragas can go armor boots or mr boots but he will 9/10 times want cd boots and he won't ever pick the attack speed boots
with movement speed being a given you can instead invest in a 6th item opening your build potential infinitely more than the 5 boots the game offers you
some players already do sell their boots once they hit full build, now the only thing I see being bad in this exchange is that buying a 6th item currently you have to sacrifice movement speed for that extra strenght, which, for some champions, is simply not worth it as they might lose the ability to run from fights or chase the enemy, however, again, more freedom of choice, you could build a 6th item that gives you movement speed giving you more movement speed than the enemy
See what I'm saying, opening that 6th item slot can really open your build possibilities and give you way more choice first and foremost it's 1100 more gold you can spend on any component you want early game and second, you need mr early game? build an mr item instead of merc treads, need tenacity? build steraks or wit's end, etc.

the Rapid Fire we got at the moment has a Range cap of 150 of that 35% .
The new one has that keyword removed. With that an Average ADC with 550 Range gets ~190 instead of the capped 150.

Homeguard enchantment could always be slapped on any pair of boots before they removed it and just gave it to everyone post 14 minutes (20 originally). Mobos were never a rework of homeguard lol. The global boost *was* the rework.

I think the thing that has upset me most is that items seem to just be stat sticks, like dominics was the tank killer and is now just lethality infinity edge, phantom dancer lost it's passive, it just feels like they said well you have more items now so you should be happy even though we are removing the interesting parts of a few of the items we let you keep, like wth riot
yeah for items the stats are often the least relevant thing - its the passives that matter; do you need anti heal or do you need to kill tanks? Do you want to reduce crt dmg or slow their attack speed - thats what we want to ask ourselves when buying stuff not "uga booga more ad uhh"

Also pretty "stupid" to remove, the rune was equally good for its atk speed and range as uncapped atk speed was. With the extra atk speed and removed ad to items in general its kinda sad.

Those changed Navoris seem really weird. Like half of the good stuff about Navoris Quickblades was that Critical Strike Chance increased your Ability damage, synergizing with AD "Mages" like Ezreal or GP who wanted to build crit but were still heavily reliant on their Abilities. Now it's just the CDR and not much to scale their Abilities apart from the additional CDR per Attack. So probably more as a safety tool to get long CD repositioning abilities back off CD.

@@IMIv2 the issue with that is, that only very few champions who are ability reliant and synergize well with navori cdr do also have abilities which benefit from IE crit damage increase.
The main problem with this change is that it gives attack speed. Champions that build navori didn't need the attack speed, they wanted the ability damage amp and cdr from basic attacks, since they had plenty of attack speed just in their kit or other items
Removing Sheen from Essence Reaver is odd considering it just screws over the build of a few specific champs who now will probably have to go Trinity to make up for it but then delay their 100% crit chance until next game. I guess they forgot that the item was basically added to compensate for the removal of crit chance from old Trinity... Oh well, surely it will only take them 3 patches or so to figure out what they've done.

This item has some unfair issues:
1. It is cheap as hell, giving chaps very fast poverspike (especially for gp)
2. And especially for gp, ezreal and smolder this item just deletes mana bar.
I think removing sheen from essence reaver is a good step to force that champs build diff sheen items, but it's main problem is mana restoring so ya, this item is cursed
But now 4 items=100% critic

I'd imagine the Yun Tal Wildarrows item would be really good on Jhin. The item's damage scales with AD, and he is forced to space out his attacks anyways so there's less wasted refreshes on the DoT.
And you can proc jt consistently on the forth auto while no relying on luck

Good, they are a plague on the game. Onhit builders can literally buy anything they want
agree with the first part, but not the second. Items give you more as out the gate (on-hit ones), so that means you attack faster at the start, procking pta faster, doing more damage the whole fight, so it negates the removal (kind of). But the good part is that with botrk you now also deal good dmg to non-tanks, so on-hit adcs are more viable even in normal comps. Not just vs full tanks

The removal of 5 AD and 5 % Armor Pen doesn't make up for the fact that Mortal Reminder is essentially straight up better with its Grievous Wounds passive whereas you'd almost always go LDR due to its bonus damage to tanks. Now, it's the reverse.

It is just me or they really inverted the legendery crit items back before the mythic items system. If I remember right, most item has the same crit chance (except LDR), some of them got back the stats they lost (for exapmle the qss item the lifesteal), and some more.
It took them couple of years to accept the fact that mythic items were bad to the game - and a couple more years to do something about it

I like some of the changes, the ADC gameplay is going to change a lot in this split. But in general, the items have changed, but at the same time they've got reverted to how they used to be several seasons ago, like the neverending changes on BoTRK, back & forth changing the slow effect, or Mercurial went back to how it was a few years ago, too. Same for Rapid Firecannon.
They think they'll fool us into thinking they actually do something for the game.
I honestly think that the few seasons after season 9 were just a fever dream and everything's waking up now

i just tried this on ww in practice. titanic + bloodmail+er (so i never run outta mana) +ie + phantom dancer (for ghost+atk speed)+ any other filler crit item.( like a 35-40% armor pen one) and he gets like 500 ad with 100% crit with autos doing 1k dmg per on minions

Dude idk how to feel about this. Some items got buffed, some got nerfed. The 25% is massive, but also a lot of builds got entirely nuked and basically have to re develop a new build. It doesn’t make sense, I don’t know if this is a buff, I don’t know if this is a nerf, feels like they’re just fucking around with items for the sake of it. ADC stays not catching a break man ;-;

essence reaver seems a bit too strong on jinx, in the video jinx has around 188 AD and essence is giving back 23 mana per auto. Considering Jinx needs 20 mana per auto for her rockets I can see her rushing this item and only spamming rockets for the rest of the game which seems too oppressive considering her rockets already deal 110% AD and at level 9 she'll have 725 range, she can permanently poke u with rockets and has excellent wave clear. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of the mana cost on her rocket autos...

That's the entire point of ER existing. If it didn't give you infinite mana, no one would build it. It's why some people used to build it on MF, Cait or Xayah. Mana shouldn't be an issue for adcs, their power is not really on their abilities.

I dont think u understand how broken it is on jinx, most of jinx's power is locked behind mana, her rocket auto's are extremely strong as they provide her with +200 range 10% extra AD on each auto, AOE, wave clear, these are all extremely valuable assets on an ADC and the only reason it's balanced on jinx is because it's gatekeeped by mana, she has to expend large quantities of mana in the early game to keep autoing even a few times with her rocket. ADC's are built around the fact that they have no waveclear early game and have to properly farm and manage waves in order to succeed, the problem is that essence reaver negates all of these issues that keep her balanced. There's a reason that stattik shiv keeps getting nerfed time and time again, because the wave clear it provides is really strong and jinx's winrate spikes everytime stattik is viable.

Crit ADCs are screwed til lategame (with the exception of the lane bullies) but the on-hit champs will be thriving now that you seemingly have to decide between crit chance or a halfway decent item passive
I can see Statikk rush becoming almost mandatory so adcs can actually get their items faster and not be useless til the end of the game

Dude.... I literally quit LoL 7 years ago because the game changed too often and I didn't have the time or energy to constantly rediscover what everything does multiple times a year.
Now I came back to the game to play it casually on a new account, finally feel like I grasped everything I needed after a month AND THEY CHANGE SO MUCH AGAIN.......
Totally agree they should inplement changes one by one slowlly not all at once and werry offten. I mean its fun for the game actuallly to have new ways to play. But skill wise peoplle lose what they were good so kinda aint fair

The biggest question about putting things back to how they used to be, is how they interact with champions not born in that time.

New season:
- They remove tenacity from runes

- They DONT REVERT CC DURATION OF ALL THE BUFFED CHAMPS?????

Infinity edge needs to have a lock mechanic for its crit dmg amp like before. All adc's will always rush infinity edge, and those who will be meta will be most likely the ones that can abuse it the best.
We are talking about adc's that have some sort of guaranteed crit on their spells or passive or have an absurd range to poke someone and be bleesed by rng ( technically you can guess when you crit based of how many non crits, if for example you hit 3 hits on minions and none of them was a crit your next aa most likely will be a crit based of 25% crit ratio, and yes crits in league have that mechanic to prevent players to be completely screwed over by crit chance).
Maybe they can balance it with the components instead - it will allow them to make it a terrible rush item

zephyr is basically back to the old start : sells boots for zephyr as 6th item ADCs used to do , except now it upgrades from boots
Finally ive been asking for an upgrades to boots for eons. For anyone asking, it just feels so bad to know that selling or not selling boots is the superior option depending on the game and yet still feeling bad for making that option. If you keep boots it feels like a waste of gold , if you sell for something it is just annoying suddenly having less movment speed. This just feels better. And if its too strong i hope they find a way to balance around it cause i really want it to stay
It's almost like we're returning to season 7 if you ask me. Adc is going to start feeling fun again :D

Finally more options for crit
Blackfire Torch looks really interesting for the champs like Swain and Kennen. Combine it with Radabaan and you get some really good numbers from these items alone in a teamfight. Can't wait to play around with it. Also depends of the AP ratio on the burn effect.
Doesnt really work for kennen, the r damage is based on the first hit and 10% more per hit, so the extra ap wouldnt apply to your r

@@jackbordar2727 that's exactly where it says it. First hit deals [base damage] + 22.5% ap and sucessive hits deal 10% more. So increasing your ap after the first hit does nothing
@@alex2005z nope, I just tested it with a dummy. I pressed R and it did 345 dps without an item. Now I pressed R and bought an item while it was active and now I have 436 dps. So it very much does count. If you don't believe me, than go test it yourself.
Or in math terms x+(x*0.1)=y ; y+(y*0.1)=z. in that equation if x changes to anything else, so does z, even retro actively.

@@shadetail removal of ingenious hunter is the only change i dislike. i always took it on aram. but i think lethal tempo was too strong and it just dominated adc. im happy about any other change

cool changes, but it will still be tank meta, specially with the removal of ldr passive
and gutting botrk and kraken slayer, and that tank item for damage from hp
tbh everyone's got so much %hp or armor pen anyways, I think it's a fine change.
But more than that, Tank meta is far and away less egregious than yone meta.
Idk, adc is gonna have full crit by 4 items now so they gonna melt tanks faster, i dont think botrk and ldr nerfs gonna compensate for the buff to having a non crit 5th item

But marksmen ruling the hyper lategame with impunity is perfectly fine. That's what a glass cannon should be, no? Getting one extra utility item slot (merc scim, guardian angel, zhonya's for Kaisa, bloodthirster, etc) is totally fine imo. You're still the single squishiest class in game, and having ubermensch damage is totally fine as a tradeoff
