Dr. Mike: Could you please expand on the limiting of carbohydrates. Are you referring only to refined carbohydrates? What about baked potatoes, whole wheat pasta, and fruits and vegetables that may be naturally high in carbs?
Dr Stephen Phinney PhD is worth listening to on here I think ua-cam.com/video/1IEuhp8RFMU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=VirtaHealtBread Pasta, all bread, pizza bases, sweets, biscuits, sugars and cake are the enemy. Rice and potatoes are not processed foods so could be consumed in small quantities. He recommends a diet of all meats and green leafy veg, eggs, fish, nuts and seeds, avocados.....
Thank you for this info. I’m really worried now as I’ve just had blood results and my triglycerides are 1.5 mmol/l I’m T2 diabetic with high blood pressures. I am on keto diet now and I’ve just ordered omega 3 supplements. I’m finding exercise very hard as I’m waiting for a spinal stenosis operation and have to get my hba1c down before they’ll do it. My insulin resistance is being very stubborn! I know my GP is going to want to put me on statins but I don’t want to take them 😢
1- intermittent fasting. Start gradually meaning one meal in the morning and after 22 hours half a meal. No snacking at all. No bread at all and no carbohydrates or added sugar components intially. Within one week you should feel better result specially your sleep quality. Never take statin as it makes situation worse. Havi g statins means adding more suffering and symptoms. First week meals must be fresh vegetables and steam vegetables. No fruits at all. Seco d week must be vegetables + meats and fish. You should see and feel improvement within two weeks. I hope you recover quickly and enjoy life.
@@GeorgeFinan-hc8fu I reduced my ‘eating window’, lunch at 12 noon, dinner at 5:30. Protien (mainly meat) and a little veg sometimes. Dairy, including eggs, butter and cheese. Lost 28 pound and hba1c 54 mmol/l (sorry I’m in uk so don’t know what that is in mg) I’m now back on the operation waiting list and doctor very proud of me 😇😀
I do not like the units of moles and millimple. Many people do not het the sense of understanding of mollimole which is intended basically gor scientists. Drs are not Drs but allopathic health care provider and many of them lacks understanding of situations. Now, to con ert from millimoles /liter into mg/deciliter, multiply by 18 Example: if the reading of Mike the glucometer is 4.3 millimole/liter then it should read 4.3 × 18= 77.4 mg/deciliter. Very easy. Now, start right away by eating only vegetables such as lettuce, parsley, coriander, cauliflower, cabbage, cucumber etc.. Y the end of seven days you feel marked change as a whole person. Following seven days add proteins such as boiled eggs, fish etc eliminate vegetable oils from your kitchen totally. Use olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, gees, natural butter, tallow you should feel yourself much better. You must have a plan for non eating program. You start ny two meals. One every twelve hours and move gradually toward one meal a day. Later on, make use of one meal every 48 hours twice a month. This way you find yourself healthier and back to normal. Have a great health.

How many hours of fasting are required for triglycerides? Thanks.
What about metabolic syndrome from menopause?
What about animal products? Good or bad?

Intermitent fasting means every 12 hours not 22 hours.
This is a personal experience and you may benefit from it.
