- The Pyramid of Khufu is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World which can still be seen in its original state. 146 metres high, 230 metres wide, and made from almost 2.5 million blocks, including 63-tonne granite slabs, the Pyramid of Khufu breaks all the records. It took at least 25 years to complete this colossal structure. How did its builders manage this incredible technical achievement? Today, Egyptologists and archaeologists have a new tool at their disposal: archaeology 2.0, which will help them unravel the mysteries of this gargantuan site by providing aerial and satellite images that help decipher anomalies in land shape and characteristics, and by allowing them to view zones that they can't usually see.

At 39:12 it is suggested that the only purpose of the grand gallery is to house the blocking stones, despite the clear evidence that it was used for hauling up the 60-70 ton granite bocks probably for the ceiling of the Queens chamber.
How to measure out a perfect square of that size is an interesting puzzle. If you don't have a perfectly flat surface, it will be difficult.
There are other chambers. Muon X-Ray Technology showed a hallway behind the upper entrance chevrons. Sure enough, they put a camera in and found it. Second, There is a smaller grand gallery above the first one used to counter weight lever the large granite stones above to the Kings Chamber Ceiling blocks. Muon Technology also fond this chamber. The Air Shafts "Soul" also curve around this hidden void, proving it exists. Lastly, the Lowest Tomb is unfinished because it kept filling with water during the Nile Floods, due to the high water table. Therefore the tomb had to be rethought and build within the pyramid.
I enjoyed the documentary, but many of the explanations sound pretty flimsy.
How did the Egypt move the stones around on top of the pyramid if the blocks are uneven wouldn't it have been hard to move the next row of blocks over the Crouse below it
I know every think about building but here in Egypt doesn't give me chance to prove that
They are not Tombs and were not built in 20 yrs and they predate the dynastic Egyptians
They've been carbon dated to the dynastic period.
@@Leeside999 I can’t speak to that. However, from what I can see and discern, the dynastic Egyptians did not possess the engineering capabilities necessary to build on that scale. We can’t do it today. And to build and maintain ramps would be as monumental of a task as the pyramids themselves.
@@mikethomp1440 well they clearly did have the engineering capabilities because they built them. We just haven't figured out how they did it all.
@@Leeside999 well we are all entitled to our opinions. 2 million plus stones in twenty yrs. Do the math. Also, you can’t carbon date stone. You can only date the organic substrate material. This makes it very subjective. Anyway, have a nice day.
@@mikethomp1440 they carbon dated the gypsum mortar found throughout the pyramid. 46 samples.
The timeline for khufus reign is closer to 30 years.
The diary of merer speaks of how the casing stones were brought to the "horizon of khufu" on the 27th year of his reign.
So if you dont believe they were capable of building the pyramid, who did?
the tallest pyramid is in Guatemala. the overall biggest one is in Mexico. Khufu did not build this one. you got every thing wrong.
Is that a joke? Lerner spended 6 decades on the Guiza plateau and ask us what does the pyramid mean? That's a true Mason deceptive behavior!
