Leviathan Wakes is one of those books that gets a crazy amount of hype, so I feel validated knowing that I’m not the only one who hated. The way the women were portrayed made me physically cringe 😬
The whole book I was cringing so hard! It’s also validating for me because so many people love it!

I didn’t have a good time with Priory so I’m glad I stayed away from Day of Fallen Night. They’re too long to be so badly paced.

The Simple Wild was my least favorite book of last year. I didn't like any of the characters and I found it frustrating that people were guilt tripping the MC for not being on speaking terms with her dad.
Romanticizing the 50s is a red flag tbh!

Not a day of fallen night 😭😭 I've seen a lot of people give adofn low ratings or DNF it - makes me sad but at the same time, I get it! Her characters can be hit or miss and the slowness of the plot can be boring for sure
For me adofn is waaay better than priory, the characters there was more interesting and the prose is way better

Leigh Bardugo is not the author for me. I've tried to read 3 of her books and I DNFed all three.

i havent really hated too many books this year but omg mickey7... daughter of the moon goddess...the wolf and the woodsman... CIBOLA BURN truly i see red when i think of the time wasted reading those. The worst thing i read all year is absolutely regarding the duke by grace calloway like that sucked so hard and doubled as the most misogynistic thing id read all year like on a narrative level in terms of the way other female characters were positioned in the story compared to the main female character it was genuinely shocking
THE MMC CALLS HIS FIRST WIFE A WHORE LIKE??? anyways no more grace calloway for me ive learned my lesson

OMG FINALLY someone dislikes the simple wild!!!! I did not like that book and I feel like everyone adores it - I couldn't stand the MC either and I could tell the author has never set foot in Alaska before, it was written so poorly lol
