- Well. This is a weird subject. Let's talk about the UA-cam series Nyan Neko Sugar Girls, an ironically-made anime-inspired series that is probably the BEST Worst thing ever. Or maybe that's exaggeration. Who know?

Nyan Neko Sugar Girls is a professionally made anime with deep story, the twister of plot twists, enriching world building and a plot that will leave you wondering what happens next every episode. It changed my laifu. 11/10 would recommend.

To be fair, I don't think it's possible to end up with something like this unironically. There's just too many coincidences for it to be genuine.

The two girls who voiced Rakku and Koneko actually voiced Bokutatchi/Kidnapper-Kun and Hitoshi but they pitched their voices lower, which I find absolutely hilarious

My Neko Sugar Girls Story Thing Or Whatever:
So, almost 2 months ago, I was talking to a friend about random stuffs on Discord, he sent me a video of the full Nyan Neko Sugar Girls series and he said to watch it, I clicked on it and saw how long it is then I just decided “oh why the hell not, it’ll be funny to laugh at how terrible this is anyway” then I watched it.
At first I was laughing at how terrible it is but then I began to unironically love it, as you said in the video, it has a great character dynamic and the jokes are on point, then that god damn ending scene came and I actually teared up a little at it, even though it was made to be shitty, I still kinda grew attached to the characters because of their many fun-filled adventures they brought us across
After that, I just began to truly love it
But then, literally 2 hours after I finished watching it, that friend sent me another video, it was of a video that literally only released a few minutes ago
And it was the virus PSA
I really didn’t know how to feel, that odd experience of finding this thing just before it returned after so many years made me feel weird... but extremely happy
I know this sounds stupid but I strangely feel like I may have had a part in it returning?
Like me watching it somehow caused a chain event that made it come back?
I know it’s ridiculous but it’s fun to think about
In the end, I’m just kind of in love with the series now because of all the things it managed to do so correctly

The funny thing is my first experience with it was far less magical. I got suggested to do a video on it a long time ago (back when I made... Lesser quality stuff.) I watched it initially and thought it was garbage, and that was it. But as time went on, I began referencing it more and more. I started activelly showing it to my friends just to get their reaction. Before I knew it, I had formed a weird ironic adoration for it.
It's kinda nuts that when that PSA was released, I remember feeling ridiculously happy to just see it again.
I liked reading your story though. Kinda neat you had such a unique experience with it.

It’s actually quite neat to see how others experienced it too since it’s been around for so long and because of that sudden return there’s so many possibilities of people finding it, which makes their stories really interesting

Funnily enough, about a month ago I also forced my friends to watch this is a group call. They loved it.
last week i gathered some friends on this weeb group chat where we stream animes we like and stuff, and claimed i was gonna stream a random anime i love, but unlike the other users, i refused 2 say what was the series.....
...they hated it

Late to the party here, but I love hearing about internet gems like this. Even if they're super cringey and bad, as long as the creator had fun with it and people found enjoyment in it, than it's worth the cringe. We need to get this show a Netflix revival now!
Also, appreciate the Mario Party 7 music. That game deserves more love!
Honestly that track, "Ready, Set, Fun!" is just a really fun track to use in videos. And I agree, 7 is underrated. (It's actually my personal favorite Mario Party game. I also really like 8 and DS.)
@@DuoStuff 5, 7 and DS are my favorites, mainly due to nostalgia. I think 5 might have the slight advantage due to generally better boards. I'm surprised that track isn't used more, it has so much potential in videos! Plus it's also just a banger.
You know, I'm pretty sure part of it IS nostalgia, but I think 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and DS are all probably the best in the series. With 9 forward, the series went in a direction I wasn't a fan of personally. (Super is getting there, but the board design is rather bland overall.)
And yeah, I am shocked it isn't used more. I guess people prefer using Mario party 1-3's osts a little more.

It's possible it's that, or maybe you briefly watched a bit of the first episode or something? XD
Certain things are a bit too "perfect" like the hitoshi american flag bit and some specific jokes. Biggest flag is when hitoshi's voice actor laughs during his cover of "I want it that way.". Plus NNSG's art style is so bad that its definitely a calculated and skillfully bad. Its wonderous.

It was just a regular day. Me and my friend were discussing hillarious shitposts and she sent me Nyanneko sugar girls. She always sends me videos that I like, so I clicked on it. After watching, my brain told me to keep going, even when I tried clicking off. I eventually began truly loving it, developing a crush on Hitoshi-San, amd buying merch. I even have my own OC, Miyamoto-Chan, the enthusiatsic dandere. That’s my Nyan Neko sugar girls story, goodbye (walks out of the room)

This really has some insane ironic charm to it. Hated it at first, but started to invest myself in it.
There's also a series called Nya Neko Sugar Girls Mayonaka, which is genuinely better and has a kind of compelling story. Its increas in quality makes it both better and worse.

Every so often I suffer a mental collapse and go back to this stupid thing I did back in early 2020
I sit in a discord vc, get the music bot and play the entire series start to beginning and then loop it
The first one I aimed for 50 hours and made it 26 before just completely losing my shit
The second time I did it for a whole 100 hours- this time with a crowd who’d pop in occasionally to make sure I wasn’t fucking dead and I actually managed to complete it this time
Then the most recent one, which was still quite a while back around early 2021 I did it for another 200 hours and once again managed to see it to the end
I have heard Hitoshi-san say “cockdog” at *least* 326 times
