- If I didn't talk so fast I could probably stretch these another 15 minutes. I think Nintendo should move the release date up another 2 months.

Shulk worked hard to make a world where they can live in peace without tyranny of gods and fear of being attacked.
Rex worked hard to make a world where there wouldn't be wars fighting over land and everyone can live peacefully with each other.
I really want to know how my boys' hard work got messed up this bad...
Dam, when you put it like that...im at a loss for words
People are gonna be people ig
Someone is trying to play God in Zanza's place
@@dantemustdie00 It's Shulk. He reincarnates as Zanza II. Rex becomes Klaus II. Together, they become the series' Ultimate Villains! (I'm just kidding - I think 🤣)
Nia and Melia didn't move on from the friendzone.
Fun fact: The content of Mio's diary is actually fully readable already since it uses the Alrestian alphabet from Xenoblade 2. Due to it being written in a new cursive with what appears to be upper- and lowercase forms as well as the poor video quality it's a bit difficult to make out but the paragraph on the lower left is the same line she says at the end of the trailer (in Japanese). I haven't fully deciphered the other paragraph yet but it mentions Agnus, Keves and Taion in it. The word on the right page is just "diary 1" confirming that it is in fact a diary in case there was any doubt.
Any updates on the translation?
Wow, interesting. There's also some kind of made up language on the right of the art book, do you recognize it?
A diary? Wtf that's insane wtfff
@@EvilNinja182 Sorry, I'm a bit busy but here's what I have so far:
1st paragraph:
? / Agnus to Keves ga / ? wo ? / Taion ha sukoshi(?) huan(?) / ga ? ? no ("... Agnus and Keves ... Taion ... a bit uneasiness ...")
2nd paragraph:
Ikiru Michi / Minna ga ikiru Michi / wo sagasou / Sorega Watashi no yarubeki koto ("Finding a path that lets us all live; I'll make that my mission." in the official translation)
Right page:
Nikki 1 ("diary 1)
The first paragraph is particularly interesting since it didn't appear in the trailer. I'll give it a try when I have time but I imagine it would be easier for a native Japanese speaker to fill the gaps. I think it's mostly the verbs that are missing.
@@rainy9010 That's an entirely new alphabet but it's easily decipherable from the samples and seems to spell English words rather than Japanese words like the Alrestian alphabet. The words are "CHARACTERS MIO" on Mio's page, "CHARACTERS NOAH" on Noah's page, "COLONIES KEVES" on the colony page and "LOCATIONS LIEUX" on the location page. This gives us most letters already. The word on Keves uniforms spells "KEVES" in this alphabet but I've no idea about the letters on Sena's clothes, it looks like the same alphabet but it also resembles Alrestian numerals.
Edit: Not my finding but it turns out this alphabet was used in Homs colonies in Xenoblade 1 before.
My condolences to all the Splatoon fans we stole the releases date from but also not sorry because this game is gonna rock. Can’t wait to listen to this…
They're fine, they have a game with more replayability
As a Splatoon fan, I can't say that I'm too bothered about it since I'd rather the devs take their time on it and have it be good, so its fine. And anyway, I'm a Xenoblade fan too so either way I'm going to be happy with whatever outcome we got. So apology accepted!
I imagine that since part of the monolith soft team works on both games, they want to get the finished XC3 out of the way to be able to fully focus on fine-tuning Splatoon (Edit: and botw2)
lmao at this point I'm more hyped for XC3 so i really don't care that they swapped release dates
Splatoon 3 never had a solid release date and Xenoblade's release has no effect on it. They're also from completely different studios, Nintendo is the publisher only.
Personally, I believe that the scene with Noah witnessing the convergence is similar to Shulk's dreams of Zanza around the time the party begins climbing mechonis, as to why he doesn't have the tattoo if this is from a Noah who was born after the war started, it's stated that soldiers have 10 years to live, and this could either be from before noah was a child soldier, or him dreaming about himself before then. This would explain how he can move during it too as he's not actively experiencing it, he's just a spectator.
I'm the first trailer, Noah says, "tell me, what would possess you to side with them". I now think that he is talking to Ethel, who is chasing them instead of Mio
The idea that them meeting is because Mr Takahashi wrote it that way is an amazing revelation that shocked me to my core
A culturally interesting detail about the Ouroboros and the nations I've observed (and that I'm sure others have pointed out as well), is that there is a spiritual connection with the appearance of the Ouroboros in the eyes of the main characters. As Enel notes, all Keves characters have the Ouroboros appear in their right eye, with the Agnus characters having it appear in their left one. According to Yin and Yang and traditional Chinese medicine, the right side of the body is correlated to Yang (the black portion of the circle), with the left side being correlated to Yin (white). This very clearly explains why the Keves nationals (the one of the two nations considered "the black one") have Ouroboros appear in their right eye, and why the Agnus nationals ("the white ones") have it appear in their left eye. Very interesting touch by Monolith!
It’s actually the other way around but you’re still right, Keves as Yin and Agnus as Yang is definitely a very interesting possibility
@@AoiiHana Oh, you're totally right! I've always been unsure about which "value" represents which color, but always understood it that the feminine Yin would be represented by white (which I have always considered the feminine of the two colors, perhaps because of my Western upbringing) and the masculine Yang as black. That said, it certainly does make more sense that Yin would be black (with one translation of it meaning shaded or hidden) and Yang be white (with a meaning being light). Thank you for helping me understand this!
I get an eerie feeling the scene we're given of Vandham in this trailer is actually his moment of sacrifice with the piece of tech he's slamming his fist on being some sort of bomb. Perhaps it malfunctioned and needs to be manually detonated, or he's repurposed it as a surprise trap and is sacrificing himself so the MC group can get away.
The Ouroboros forms give me major Astral Chain vibes. They look a lot like the Legions from that game in my opinion.
At least July is closer than September was, but it's still too far away lol.
I was thinking the exact thing
The most interesting part of the trailer to me was def Ethel, who was clearly designed to look similar to Kos Mos. Her eyes especially remind me of how Kos Mos views the Gnosis in Xenosaga 1. Has very interesting story implications.
Some other cool stuff about the trailer to me was:
-The Woman with the Ice Arm.
-Monolith hinting that Mio could die in XB3
-The Woman with the Green Hair. Will she be a guest party member? Antagonist?
-Will Monolith pull a Hideo Kojima/Megaman Zero esque stunt and say that characters who look exactly like Melia and Nia are not in fact Melia and Nia.
Finally, I’d like to note that it will be funny when Noah and Mio are added as a Ice Climber esque character in Smash 6. They will have a meter mechanic that transforms them into the Ouroboros form, and be more broken than Ultimate Joker’s Arsene.
Am I the only one who sees Mythra in her?
I’d like it known that they technically already made a character that looks exactly like Nia but is not in fact Nia with Mio.
Mio having a core crystal showing she's a Flesh Eater is interesting. The info from the now deleted euro soft tweet indicates that the weapons the soldiers summon are tied to them, and are called blades, so I'm wondering if that's part of the solider process in this game: binding a core crystal. The lifespan reduction seems weird given that both Blade and Flesh Eaters in XB2 got massive lifespan increases, but it could be something to do with the clocks and Ouroboros.
@@magnus1114 for the weapons, there is no reason for the Keves to possibly be using 2’s Blades and Core Crystals since they are very obviously based on the Replica Monado technology from Future Connected.
For why their life spans are shorter… did you miss the entire setting synopsis?
I want to mention that Eunie+Taion's mech looks almost exactly like Fiora's new mech suit (minus the honkers) in Definitive Edition, even the drones and Fiora's helmet when introduced as Meyneth. Probably a coincidence, but a cool thing to observe.
And also it looks a lot like an armor set from Xenoblade X and [redacted] real body.
Doubt it’s a coincidence tbh it’s Monolith here.
I always thought it looked like Vierge, but that's mostly because Xenoblade 3 has been so heavy with Xenogears similarities so far
I won't be surprised if Ethel and Isurugi end up as a 4th Ouroboros pair in the party since they have the complementary red eyes, or they are just the bad Ouroboros
I really really hope they do, they have such cool designs and weapons
With this new knowledge of having 10 years to live and fight, the party's collective ages being younger than other Xeno parties is suddenly much more disturbing and tragic.
It’s funny when the first trailer came out, they made such a big deal pointing out Mio was older. Was odd. And now, we randomly know from 3rd party sources why it’s significant. Nintendo must be pretty upset with all the silly leaks and mistakes leading to plot points being spoiled early.
Also, yes. Ethel is new best girl. Although I think Sena might be my favorite party member
Eunie might be looking at a memorial for fallen soldiers. I think this ties in with Ethel not recognising the party’s true forms too since they all might be marked as MIA
This game will probably delve into the Collective Unconscious and that will tie into the whole "live to fight and fight to live" thing.
My theory is that some of the CU ( Dead people ) will escape into the merged world and that might bring back / reincarnate some beings into these Fogbeasts/Ouroboros beings and that is probably bad for the world or something.
Just please no Juju, pleeeeaaaaasssseee !!!!
Can't wait to experience it.
At this point, Xenoblade's clipping models are part of the charm
Maybe it is going to be part of the plot, like the frame rate drops of distant ennemies lmao
This whole thing about extending one’s time reminds of a movie where at a certain point in the characters life a timer will show up on your wrist signifying how much time they have left to live. In the movie companies found out a way to extend the timer and basically you can buy these packs that when you inject it into you your timer will be extended. Can’t remember the name of the movie but this whole thing with Xenoblade 3 and extending one’s time reminds a lot of that movie.
I think the name is "In time"
I came up with two random theories:
1) Melia/Nia's masks were probably meant to not only hide their identity but also their eyes, so we can't see that they have glowing red eyes.
2) Maybe when you're branded with that tattoo, it freezes your age till the day you die. That would explain how the cast's ages can be so close. (This is assuming that you can extend your life by killing)
1. think so too. They also might merge into an ouroboros.
Theory; the second to last boss is mind controlled Nia and Melia merged together into one of those mech things
Love your content Enel, can't wait for your gameplay videos.
I wonder if the dynamic of Keves and Agnus hunting down the main party is kinda of reminiscent of Dragalia Lost having the main character Euden and his friends being chased by the recently reformed Dyrenell Empire, or Rex and Pyra being wanted by Mor Ardain. Maybe Noah, Mio and their friends go to Swordmarch and set up a base of operations there, much like how Euden made the Halidom in the Mistholt his stronghold.
the gamestop description of the game is pretty interesting
With pairs of male and female characters and the “flesh mechs” I hope anima and animus are relevant plot terms. Also the two nations being at war kinda gives me Aveh and Kislev vibes so I’m expecting a third party to be pulling the string behind the screens, perhaps accessible though a giant sword like tower.
The gauntlet Noah's sword turns into appears to be a reference to Pyra. The lights on it change from blue to Pyra's shade of green, the colors of the gauntlet are the same as Pyra's sword, and it has 3 spikes like Pyra's sword. I've been calling it the Pyrarm.
You are my favorite xeno tuber and I can’t wait for you to cover 3!
Thank you for the analysis!
The male body type Ouroboros forms remind me of the Legions from Astral Chain
I started a playthrough of xenogears about 3 months ago and when I first seen Noah and mio in their ouroboros I instantly thought of the main characters gear in xenogears
Very good video, you pointed out lots of stuff I totally missed. Good job.
I don't think the thing about Ethel being able to see the imaginary plane holds up, because you'll notice the Nopon everyone's guarding never showed shadowy at all. Either Nopon don't have souls that go to the collective unconscious, or it's because the party is Nahobino I mean Ouroboros.
Here are my thoughts, in the scene of young Noah could be a memory of his childhood but perhaps it’s that they created colonies in space and Noah used to be there before the war and about the giant creature his behavior reminds me to Malos’s somehow.
That shot of melia at 19:30 is SO confusing to me. Why is the circle behind her filled with BOTH yellow and blue?
We always see either one or the other, or the purple ouroboros on the party's weapons which is likely related to their awakening.
And given the fact that it's on every weapon and mech, and the fact that it can change I can't help but think that it's more that just a symbol
I think that machine the circle is on is what grants this Flame Clock or maybe it is the or A flame clock that both sides have that grants the time limit... this implies all weapons with the circles are powered by the time limit thing anything from weapon to mecha so anything robotic might have a person inside powering it... which could have faced mechon implications
Xenoblade Chronicles is a good series, I'm looking forward to this chapter!
I believe that the cause of these markings are the aforementioned "flame clock" mentioned in the first trailer. And so by them wanting to get rid of it it could stop the effects of the markings
I think the yellow "weapon" at 23:29 is the claw of the mysterious giant(10:06), and speaking of the giant, it gives me a feeling that there will be a plot twist later in the story just like the revealing true identity of metal face except it's two person's reveal
who knows maybe it's old shellhead and some xenoblade 1 character... can't think of too many characters alive who would act like that giant but dead characters I would turn to Mumkhar or Dickson
Actually, Enel. The was confirmation that healers could revive. I am taking it to mean that healing arts are the way to revive now. Which means the aoe heal on damage is why they have a good revive.
I just hope we haven't been spoiled on anything major with all of the accidental info drops and everything they've talked about.
3:45 Enel forgets that Morag and Brigid exists
whipswords are a little different lol
@@EnelXC They still dual-wield them in sword form! The swords are just cooler as sword-whips, but I’d say it counts
Ah yes Gundam in my xenoblade game
The first area being a wasteland makes sense to me - it's probably the wasteland from the first trailer where we see the two armies charging at each other, and it matches with the rocky area where the whole confrontation with the Mysterious Giant and Vandham happens. Presumably the party's there doing war stuff and unite after the Vandham thing.
Alright so let's get this shit on the road. Cannot wait for this game to destroy my productivity harder than Elden Ring did
I am excited!
Sure enough, nothing else to do at 10pm, so here I am!
Did you noticed that every ouroboros form resembles a Bionis race? Noah and Mio's looks like a homs/bionis creature, Eunie and Tayon's form looks like a High Entia, and Lanz and Sena's form looks like a machina mech almost similar to Egil's golden mech
I'm actually really excited to see how ouroboris is going to have coronation to the life span of mind and some others
Thank you so much for these videos. I can’t wait for this game
I also learn Mio has Wide Slash which is Rex when he use a Cat Blade and Butterfly Blade like Nia.
I said it once to another UA-camr and I'll say it here Nia x Rex Confirmed?
And I lost half my writing due to me being dumb... let's do that again:
First: thank you for your analysis Enel, there were some highly interesting points and I wanna add to them a bit. Though that might be confusing for first-timers.
1. The group could be a play on the Testaments in Saga/Gears, aka a group of people chosen by the Canaan Program/Prohect to be suitable vessles of Anima. N can be seen as " some sort of compass for the world" being Saviour and Apocalypse bringer alike. And Anima is according to XSAGA III: "Long ago, half of chaos's body (Anima) was decoupled from "chaos" by Maria and made into the Vessels of Anima. [...] This saved the world from destruction, but also caused half of Mary's body (the Animus) to be dispersed across the area of the collective unconscious--in other words the U.M.N." Which is essentially Ouroboros.
In Gears that is to be a male (Animus) and female (Anima) part of one whole.
2. Weltall is part of this as well, so the design checks out. Weltall is a fusion of the anima relict Naphtall and a certain someone's gear. And the Gears Blackboxes were Ether amplifiers, which ironically brings us to:
3. Ethel: Her design could be a hint towards her role/origin, since she bears kind of a resemblance towards the "Anti-type" in Xenogears. She is basically a enemy turned friend turned enemy, turned into Fei's "you know how things happen" situation due to being part of Solaris and the Gebler/Gevurah military force Her name does not only resemble the anti-types but also could be a weird pun towards "Ether". Kill me now ... :) And does tie in with the Ramsus/Ramses idea.
4. The right eye left eye thing might be an allusion to Anima and Animus from Gears (again). Aka that both parts/parties are needed to form "one". Hence the mecha/giant Gnosis.
5. At 17 minutes I swear that looks like Abraxas (later Michtam (Beta)) from XSAGA (And Gears), right before the purge/gnosis invasion which has yet again something to do with the "Testament". Also it's kind of a nice callback to Xenogears as a whole and Saga's Lost Jerusalem in a way.
6. Grahf/the being with the infinite emblem might hint to that "they" were like the party once but entirely fused with each-other and now represent one being. thus the UMN/Ouroboros circle became "infinite". And since the being itself is more monsterous/life-like than the parties appearances so far that might also bring downsides/upsides with it.
edit:
7. Nimue may be a homage to "The Lady of the Lake" from the Arthur tales. And thus may or may not have something to do with a certain blade/core that is present in the game. Since it is so far the only blade that "can be unsheathed". Thus doubling as a Sword (Excalibur) and a Shield/Place to rest/Gauntlet (Avalon).
I have played this series for too long...
oh one more thing: there were mecha in the trailer (backgrounds) that looked very similar to certain occurences/buildings/space stations/ships/mecha in Xenosaga and gears.
imgur.com/a/IAVu61K for example
Great analysis, thank you very much. I believe the giant wheeled mechon-like thing is Colony 4 itself, while the two giant Agnus mechas are Colonies Delta and Lambda. All three seem to be commanded in battle by their respective military leaders.
another great video
XC3 seems like a retelling of Xenogears. It's not exactly one-to-one but the major themes and plot points are the same.
The fact that Ethel and Isuragi are commanders might mean they have some kind of connection to each other. They may even be the other Ouroboros maybe unintentionally and are getting pullled behind the scenes. Or are aware and are manipulating the leaders to fighting each other. Ethel seems less of a true enemy like Isuragi does tho so it might be him with someone else.
Thank you. 👍
My kingdom for a proper Xenogears complete saga. Still one of my favorite JRPGs.
Amazing
I think a key to figuring out the plot to this story will be to view it through a Hegelian lens. we know though other games in the Xeno series that Monolithsoft loves German philosophy, and this game is no different. this new addition of the "interlink" seems to cement for me this idea. the themes character and plot all follow the hegelian Dialiectic of "Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis" .
to give one example the main characters of Xenoblade 1 all share a theme of independence, either from the Mechon or the Gods, but in the end the inhabitants of the bionis and mechonis become a single landmass and nation, or the Characters of Xenoblade 2 all share a quality of dependence. blades and humans and titans share in a life cycle which is dependent on each other or how Mythra is dependent on Pyra etc, in the end they separate into two separate beings. There’s symmetry here which may then lead us to the third part, the synthesis , or fusion of these two conflicts. For lack of a better word I will say a kind of voluntary symbiosis where two independent souls retain their independence but become stronger when united.
the key i think then to figuring out the plot and themes of this game will come down to looking at the first two games for ways in which Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2 have these thesis/antithesis conflicts and how they can be synthesized. what are some pairs you can think of?
I cant wait for this game. Also, congrats on getting into gdq!!
seems this game will take the cake for being the most grim in the series for sure.
Lots of new info here. I didn’t know about the 10 years to live thing. The story is gonna so tragic and intense. Especially if some of the party come dangerously close to their final Days like I bet the cat girl as shown.
I'm super hyped bro!! Love the Xeno games
I do like that you managed to forget about Morag and brigid when you talked about dual sword. Also wasn’t the spirit crucible specifically really low in ether, hence why the blades didn’t work except poppi who generates her own?
Well dang you're right about the spirit crucible thing. I completely misremembered that part and thought the problem was it was too dense with ether for some reason. Probably mixing it up with something else.
Guess that might mean my entire theory there is off.
I wasn't counting whipswords as traditional dual swords.
Pretty sure they were rarely used as normal swords
@@EnelXC To be fair, the problem was the inverse. There was particulate of some kind present that “drained” the air of its ether. I dunno how anything pre-Xenoblade works in the MonoSoft lineup, but maybe a case could be made as to what/why it was that the ether was all being consumed?
I actually thought that monster looked like a weird combination of Wulfric and Perceval from XB2
You know, I can see that.
I mean, if I was Nia and suddenly another world fused with mine and seemingly all of my friends died because of it (blades and all), I would be pretty darn upset. Same for Melia.
I’m especially exited because it’s the day after my birthday
Im especially depressed because it’s the day after i leave on a 3 week vacation
Only 5 mins in so you might address this later, but the time limit helps the character ages make a LOT more sense. So that's less of a weird thing now, I guess.
Would be funny if you skip time enough in one sitting, the party just dies and you get a game over. Most likely the time limit has nothing to do with the actual gameplay, but that just came to my mind while watching.
The premise gives me AoT vibe, but I am sure the rest of the stories will be interesting enough.
Great analysis! Honestly, if we don’t get another trailer before release, I’d be fine with it. This trailer had a lot of great stuff in it and I just want to play the game already.
"we got ourselves a nice little awakening"
I bet my [redacted] if that ain't the VA of Malos
might actually be a reference to his his line in X2:
"you're pretty sharp for someone who just woken up"
The whole Crystallization kinda reminds me of the Guldo from X2,
!!!!SPOILERS!!!
The Fogking uses probably the same model as Infernal Guldo which we assume is Galea kind of hinting at a relation of Guldo and Fog.
Everything is looking great in the trailer: gameplay, lore, all of this makes me feel the hype, and I'm really feeling it.
But I'm sure of one thing: Alvis should be raging right now because he didn't saw all of this coming XD
Btw Melia was already looking recognizable in the first trailer bc of her 300$ haircut
Alvis seems to have Absconded after Xenoblade 1 (mentioned in that art book that had the story of finding that regeneration machine for Fiora I believe), it's very possible something else is in the works and Alvis is involved
some interesting details:
-the cross tattoo on Taion's hand looks like an abstract Zohar. the lines on each side making the edges of the zohar with the eye in the middle. you can see an architectural "Zohar" shape behind the Taieunie ouroborus in the trailer.
-looping motifs are abundant. the Agnus queen is wearing a looping knot in the shape of a cross, an "everlasting cross" which can be made out of the loops of a moebius strip. then there are a lot of triskelions/triquetra motifs that are similar and symbolize infinity and the trinity. in japan the triquetra is known as musubi mitsugashiwa, a shinto symbol of creation out of infinite spiritual energy. you can see a trinity hairpin on the gormotti girl.
-it's very hard to see but I think inside of the ouroboros orbs there are 2 shapes that look like chromosomes
-"Nimue's" crystal arm looks a lot like Elma's hair and like Elma she has crystals growing out of her forehead.
I really don't see how people think Ethel looks like Kos-Mos. Sure, her hair is long and she has a serious face but I think that's just a coincidence (there are quite a few xeno games after all). I don't think she actually plays a role like Kos-Mos does in Xenosaga. I do hope we can play as her sometime though.
I think that most of this trailer is pretty early in the story. Also the blade next to eunies face is likely the mysterious giant as you can see blades on his arms that look like it
I've noticed that the female Grenada Galactic Group heavy armor from Xenoblade X looks like Taion and Eunie's Ouroboros. Maybe it's just a reference to that?
I think the flame clocks they said they needed to destroy in the first trailer are the thing making people die after 10 years
One thing which i still have a small doubt about is, if the tatoos are given by the countries to measure remaining life, isn't it strange that both countries give exactly the same tatoo? wouldn't they use different technology for it? Given how different the two countries operate. Maybe the tatoo is the product of something bigger? or maybe it means that both countries are actually being controlled by the same group (the real enemy)? ik it sounds a bit far fetched, but it's the best idea i came up with lmao. Also really great video and analysis, it actually makes a lot of sense
parallels to Xenogears suggest this is the case from what I hear around
I think Nim wei or way is going to be the “Lora” character in this game. Hopefully we get the Torna treatment & dlc!!! I think she’ll have the plot relevance that Lora did with Jin.
Nice video! Gives me some new things to think about and I can't wait for this this game. Rotbart is back and Nintendo accidentally confirmed Melia. But when you watch the trailer now with subtitles on she's mentioned simply as "Queen." Did everyone start their ten year countdown when the worlds combined, and can you restore lifespan via fighting/clocks? Also Eunie is best girl.
19:47 at the back and 20:33 on the machine(?) structure, may be the "clock" Mio mentioned when she's fighting the machine also with a clock (i guess that's the flame clock) in the first trailer. 10:10 Noah's eye light up reminds me of the clocks, as it's lighting up clockwise.
Ethels dual sword and her stance instantly reminded me of Morag from XC2
I like how you just casually put out the reason to want to help you out because I like you... because I do Enel senpai 🥺
Nice theory quite enjoyable really, Now I wonder if when we'll get that
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct
that's where will get the most
content. dlc might happen aswell.
Doing a 2nd play through of Xenoblade 1 an 2 now in anticipation. Didn't have much else to play besides 13 sentinels (phenomenal experience) so I started XC1 again. I've forgotten a ton so this'll be good.
When I saw XC3 had elements of both games story I was like, yes, that's the excuse I been looking for.
God damn I need some full uncut gameplay ASAP
I mean...👀
ua-cam.com/video/KcBGwC4Toi8/v-deo.html
The thumbnail yessssssss!
Having six characters in battle with combined forms makes this game somehow even closer to the FFF Advent Dark Force sequel I never got than Xenoblade 2. But even without my personal cliffhanger frustrations, this game looks great and I can't wait to play it.
Little late to the party here, but would like to point out Ethel's dual wielding is highly reminiscent of Morag/Brighid, which is probably much more relevant than drawing a comparison to either Orgulla or Elma.
At 23:36, I thought that the yellow 'fang' close to Eunie's eyes is actually from the Ouroboros we see at the begining of the trailer. He does have yellow fangs that look like that.
I'm sure it's a great video, but due to the soonishness of the release date, I'm avoiding everything about the game now until I play it. Somebody pls watch the video an extra time for me
I'll watch it five times for you bro
Stay strong
21:20 I think people fail to mention this but maybe this "Nimue" could be reminiscence of Brighid from XC2 seeing how both characters have simular charateristics to one another.
We saw some footage in the first trailer that showed an area in the sky, do you think there could be a Solaris inspired nation hidden in the sky controlling both sides of the war?
Lanz and Senna Ourburous looks similar to Yaldabath, which makes sense cuz Lanza is a mechon
Man monolith knows how to tell a story im super invested already and the game isnt even out yet. Great analysis Enel
I think that one of the people in the evil ouroboros could be Dickson I think his name was. He was close to Lanza so he could be the one saying something about the passage of time
I wonder if the tattoo and subsequently the eye clock thing are what causes the limited life span in the first place? Like giving them these things enables them to use their Blade weapons but it comes at a cost.
I wonder if the "red-eye" is caused by the two halves of an ouroboros refusing to connect with each other - resulting in all the other ouroobros looking like monsters to them. Similar to how gnosis work, I think. Could be related to the concepts of Animus and Anima.
Also, what are the odds we get a fusion between Melia and Nia? And that the two may end up sacrificing themselves to save the party?
The fact this game is coming out at the end of July instead of september as I initially thought has me oh so excited!!! But the fact it only comes out a month after the release of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has me equally terrified as I don't typically considered myself done with a MH game until 500+ hours in.
Also definitely the one detail that has me the most curious is the implication that the fusion seems to only happen between a member of each nation.
The Ouroboros Forms pay homage to many different things for us major Xenofans. The Weltall-like appearance of course, but also E.S and Omnigear resemblances as well. Ouroboros references a symbol of infinity as well as the cycle of death and rebirth that was adopted by Gnosticism. E.S. stands for "Ein Sof" which also means "Infinite" like Ouroboros does. The E.S. from Xenosaga also had room for up to 2 pilots, similar to how 2 people are required for the Ouroboros forms.
Lastly Anima and Animus were common themes in the Xeno Series as a whole with both having Feminine and Masculine connotations. I believe it might be referenced again in how the fusions so far have only been between male and female characters.
I Hope Ethel and her Mech joins the Party
It be crazy if the evil looking ouroboros is actually someone we know from previous game that got fused together unwillingly and got their head messed up. It would be a crazy reveal
Judging from the known context of old trailers from DE and 2, we probably have already seen some absolutely massive spoilers but have no surrounding context that actually make them spoilers. So it would be best for most people to watch the trailers for 3 as minimally as possible before the release to make the twists as surprising as possible.
