Thanks for this - I don’t have any problems with the door handle, but there is an annoying rattle within the passenger door that I’d like to eradicate - this shows exactly how to access the door / window mechanism!

Thankyou, very helpful. Door panel came off (those clips are stiff!) and went back on afterwards without any damage - really good to know exactly what to expect. It started snowing on me when the panel was almost off... luckily actually getting the broken handle mechanism off and the new one on, could be done inside in the warm! That door panel is not designed to be serviced.
Very helpful. Thank you. I needed to replaced the door mirror because the temperature sensor failed, which stopped the air conditioning working properly. I wouldn't have known where to start without this video. It was more of a challenge getting the door card back on, and I had a clip left over at the end, but secure enough. Thanks again.

Good Morning Tony, Very Clear and Helpful Video. My passenger interior handle broke recently. I have successfully removed both the Driver's Side and Passenger Side Door Trim Panels. Removing the old interior handles NOT easy I am looking to use Self Tapping Screws and Washers. The interior handles mount with the trim taking any force. Hi Alan. Many thanks for your feedback and taking the time to provide such a great insightful comment. Really appreciate all comments and love to hear from new subscribers. Thanks for watching. All the best 👍
Happy new year Tony ! Touchwood, no problems with my door card handles ( I own a 916 in Greece, so I learned to be cautious). Thanks for the video, Tony. Chris
Tip for the windows and mirror controls, you need to take them off AFTER you get the door of, due to the fact that inside are 4 metal plates you need to press with a screwdriver to unlock or you’ll bend and break them, you can press 2 of them from the outside
Thank you for the great videos they are super helpful! Are you planning on doing a video on how to remove the tail lights including the ones on the boot?
Hi Philip. Thank you. For the ones on the car body you can try to look at the “How to remove the rear bumper” video. For the others on the boot lid, I’ll look to add it to the list of videos to make. 😉👍. All the best.
At 20:57 on the left hand side, the clip next to the green wire. Is that something you can take out with a tool, insert into the door card slot and then put into the door itself. As it’s causing me a nightmare to leave it in the door itself, and then try re slot the door card into its fixed position
Hi sorry for not responding sooner. I’m not sure quite what you’re looking at, at 20:57 ? If it’s the white clip that holds the green cable in place, then from what I remember it needs to stay in place. Did you get it sorted. All the best 👍
Hi mate my driver's door main speaker and rear driver's side speaker don't work - the tweeters are fine but the main speakers no joy - do you have any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks!
Hi. It would be strange for two speakers to go like that and wiring to fail, so it could be amp related. Tough to say for though. Sorry I can’t help more. All the best 👍
Hi Johnny. It’s something I’ve considered covering as mine has the annoying click. Leave it with me and I’ll see if I can get a video together. All the best 👍
I have an issue. I take off the battery for charge. I have locked before. Now the door doesn't open manually the car has no battery ON. I can't open the door.. Any ideas or help. I don't want to break the window
Oh dear. The key in the door doesn’t work? Assuming you have tried that, one other possibility is to try and snag the bonnet release cable. It’s not advised, but it is possible to use something like a wire coat hanger straightened out with a small hook on the end of it (about 8mm radius) and poke this is through the front grill. Just off centre to the right you can hook the release cable and if you’re lucky pull it hard and open the bonnet. Hope that helps. Good luck. All the best 👍
Hey Tony. lately its been raining a lot where i live. and i have water got into my baggage door. every time i open it water are pouring out of it. do you know where they might be penetrating from ? or if there are draining points somewhere on that door that might be blocked ?
Hi Sagi. This is another common problem unfortunately. Most of the time it’s the rear wiper seal. I have a part on order, although it’s on a long lead time 🙄, so hope to be making a video on replacing it soon. Hope that helps. All the best 👍
I can open the drivers door from the inside at the moment but I can't open it from the outside. I have to climb through to open it which is obviously not ideal
Hi. Yes, it is plastic welded. It’s a case of drilling it out and then plastic welding the new one in place. It’s possible to do by melting the ends down with heat on an implement, such as a hot screwdriver for example. It is an annoying attribute unfortunately. All the best 👍
Hi mate, awesome videos!! my 2012 giulietta close to 100k km sounds like an old bed sometimes, especially when passing my town speed bumps, also when I get out of my parking's ramp. do you think somethings wrong with the suspension? joints or stabilizer bar? I also hear another thing while going thru speed bumps but this one i think it comes from inside the car... the trunk or something makes a sound. I know I better go check these at the service but just wondering if u had anything similar!! ty
Hi Joël. Thank you. Yeah as you say, it could be any number of things. You can use a pry bar to try and stress bushes, or drop links etc and see if there’s any excess movement. Check your springs too, to see if they’re okay and not broken. Good luck with it. All the best 👍
My Misses QV sounds like marching band falling down stairs, it failed it's MOT on the front arm rear bushes, I replaced the bushes but it's probably easiest to replace the lower arm completely, it had an advisory on the upper rear bushes but I think the knocking is probably more than just the one bush, definitely a job for warmer weather, I'm waiting for an indepth video from Tony!
That’s great to hear. That’s what I love about being able to share videos. If you want to give a Super Thanks, then I think it depends on what platform you’re watching. If it’s on a laptop then I think it’s under the video image. Really appreciate it. Thanks for watching, all the best 👍
