loved them with semi on vocals , only ever saw them with tab once in 1980s at adam & eves , but i also saw them as a duo with tab on vocals and a guitarist at duchess im sure it was in early 1990s , but wasnt great , but the first 2 albums are class as is this demo
While this music is from the early Instigators, some of the photos are from a later incarnation when only Mooney was left from the original lineup and pulled in Tez, Trimble and Cuzzie formerly of Xpozez from Huddersfield. The original Instigators lineup was Mooney (guitar), Hammy (drums), Semi (vocals) and Nicki (bass), soon to be replaced by Tompo after an act of mindless violence at Manorcroft Youth Club. Tompo was then replaced by Tab who became the mainstay on bass and who painted all of the backdrops with Mooney producing flyers for gigs. Hammy was the communication engine throughout the anarcho-punk and wider punk community, especially after forming Peaceville Records, and the rest they say is history. Some of the earlier vocals are also by Daz Dean from Sheffield. One question I always ask myself and debate with Semi every time we get together is why didn't Mobile Ability ever get cut to vinyl? Maybe one day Semi yeah?
Thanx for the info.Yes,I'm aware that this(and other) recordings have pics of the bands that didn't record the demo but I'm just using them as a representation.
