I am determined to get it together in 2021. We are moving out of state and in a lot of ways this is a fresh start. So thank you for taking your time explaining what you are doing and why. Your thought process helped me so much!! I am excited to get started!!
I love watching these. I’m unable to work but am working toward it and this kinda excites me.. all I will really pay is my own phone bill as my boyfriend takes care of everything but still it will be fun. 😅
@@budgetwithamanda the past few weekends this is all I’ve done. I’m a single mom with a shitty job and a apartment and you have helped me start to get my ish together financially. My credit score has even gone up for the first time in forever
I do the same method. I have 3 budgets made upon my potential lowest, average, and highest, all rounded out. Normally just work on my average though. My Sinking funds are in lump categories for now though. Like my Crafting has subcategories like journaling and crochet, but until I hit maybe $200, I don't want to separate them. I hate starting a category and seeing it tiny, it's more satisfying for me to start off with everything having $50 lol
i have a screen protector but it’s a paper like one. i would recommend a glass one if you write with a heavy hand since my protector wore out one of my apple pencil tips :(
i get paid weekly so my cash envelopes are enough to last me a week! my boyfriend also matches the amounts for food, groceries, gas, & fun so those are always double what i write
for me, my buffer is for expenses i don’t have an envelope for or expenses i didn’t save enough for. for example, i only have $20 in my school envelopes but my books cost $130 total. my buffer will cover the other half. it’s also good to never pull out all of your money! you always want to have at LEAST $100 in your account at all times separate from any savings/ emergency accounts
@@budgetwithamanda UGH. Tips for days!!!! Thanks so much for everything! I’ve watched a lot of budgeting videos, but so far yours are the only that get through to my adhd brain 💖
you make the spread in procreate or buy it from etsy then import it into good notes. unfortunately neither app is free but you could get away with just good notes
i believe in you!! it’s always nervous to think about especially when you begin to self doubt (which i can relate to) but just stay focused and motivated!
YALL IM SO SORRY FOR MISSING MY OWN PREMIERE 😭 I got caught up running errands for my mom! :(
No worries :D
Such a simple method! Anyone else find budgeting pretty relaxing? Just me? 😭
no i totally find it relaxing!!!
@@budgetwithamanda Yaayy!!! Helps make the budgeting process easier for sure :)
I know right? The counting and the stuffing relaxes and inspire me. I can't believe this is how I spend my relaxing time right now. Hehehe.
Same here
Yeahh it’s so therapeutic:)
That’s smart budgeting less than you actually get paid, I might try that.
it’s also just easiest for me since i’m not sure exactly how much of my check gets pulled out

im happy to hear that!! sending good vibes your way 🥰
How’s it going so far? I’m genuinely curious
@@sonicthehedgewhore6090 I am doing so good with this. It has been a huge blessing in so many ways and it’s boosted our credit scores immensely.
I budget the exact same way jumping around what categories are priorities and then move to the next ones 👌
it’s so beneficial!!! i love doing it that way !
This was the budget tutorial I need. 💯💯💯
glad to hear that!! 🥰

yes i totally agree that it would still be fun to do!! i’m excited for you! 🥰
Love the video!!!! I like your idea of picking what is important to you and where it goes
thank you so much!
I’m baaaaaaack.
Some ppl: use weekends to party
Me: use weekends to budget with Amanda🤣
😂❤️❤️

I have to work on my buffer and this way really helps with that! Ima do that lol ❤️
glad i could help 🥰
Great budget ❤❤❤
Hi! I love you budgeting videos! What app do you use to layout your sinking funds/budget/bills template? 😊
i made it in procreate and use it in goodnotes ❤️
I do the same method. I have 3 budgets made upon my potential lowest, average, and highest, all rounded out. Normally just work on my average though.
My Sinking funds are in lump categories for now though. Like my Crafting has subcategories like journaling and crochet, but until I hit maybe $200, I don't want to separate them. I hate starting a category and seeing it tiny, it's more satisfying for me to start off with everything having $50 lol
great information
do you redo the budget once the actual amount comes? I really enjoy this style of in-depth videos. would love to see you do more like this...
no my budget is always within my paycheck because of how i calculate my income
U are organised...love it
thank you!
My papers always need to be sideways when I write because I am left-handed!
makes sense!! 😊
Love the template you use!
thank you!!!
Haha I write side ways too lol
glad i’m not alone! 😂
when do you spend the money inside the binder ?
whenever i need to. i go about my days normally and when i buy something i pull it from whatever category best fits that purchase
Question, do you have a screen protector on your screen? Just wondering if the pen scratches the screen? Thanks.
i have a screen protector but it’s a paper like one. i would recommend a glass one if you write with a heavy hand since my protector wore out one of my apple pencil tips :(
do you get paid weekly? im trying to figure out how i would do this with a bi weekly check.
yes i do. for biweekly you can stuff every two weeks or just cut your checks in half :)
When you stuff your envelopes do you put enough to last you a week or enough to last you two weeks until your next paycheck?
i get paid weekly so my cash envelopes are enough to last me a week! my boyfriend also matches the amounts for food, groceries, gas, & fun so those are always double what i write
What is a checking account buffer used for? Super helpful video!! Can’t wait to start

omg thank you!!
This was soooo helpful!
yay!! i’m happy to hear that!
So I’m also a college student! How would you recommend budgeting for those who get paid once a month?!
depending on the amount, i would still divide it into four weeks or even biweekly!
What app are you using?
goodnotes
What kind of iPad do you have?
ipad air (2019) i think
Say you get paid $185.73 , what would you do with that extra $5.73?
i’d pull the 5 and leave the change. just depends on what i had to stuff that week
How do you get that setup on your iPad???
you make the spread in procreate or buy it from etsy then import it into good notes. unfortunately neither app is free but you could get away with just good notes
@@budgetwithamanda lol I actually have procreate so it helps a lot 😊🖤🖤
that’s awesome!! i have taras tutorial linked in my description i think!
@@budgetwithamanda thank you so much 😊
Good video, one thing I would change is the cursive writing. It’s a little difficult to read on video.
this is an old video
@@budgetwithamanda do you have a new video about making a budget on a low income?
all my videos are usually low income
what ipad is that?
2019 ipad air
Damn girl ask for a raise!
why? 😂 i’m fine with my low income cause it teaches me a lot lol i also am part time and get paid good for my area
Your way to smart to be making that..u should be getting at least 25 an hour!! 💁
@@brittanychezem3900 i work at a grocery store though :(
Where do I go to download the spreadsheet?
this is an old video, not sure if the link in my description still works but the spreadsheet used in this video was never accessible since i made it
Su I watched the entire video to see his much you put back for nails and make-up.$10 for groceries?
Wow let's trade.places
this is old lol
Where do you work? If you don’t mind me asking
i work at a grocery store
I wanna move out on my own but idk if I can manage my leftover money wihich would be like $400 for like food and entertainment or whatever
i believe in you!! it’s always nervous to think about especially when you begin to self doubt (which i can relate to) but just stay focused and motivated!
Budget with Amanda I probably can’t with low income tbh. I just have a lot saved up but it’ll slowly be all gone till I have a better income lol
Where in the hell can you fill a tank of gas for $10???!?!?!?
texas lol and i also have a bf who covers the other half of gas
What ipad do you have?
2019 ipad air ❤️
@@budgetwithamanda thank u so much!
