I used this pump to replace the pump on a Ecell 3100 PSI pump. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxEU8wdEWW31diRsOawsCNfWEho39M27qd The model # is PWZ0163100.02 for those looking for a matching pump. It went on very easily - 10 minutes at most. Feels like a lot more power than the original but that's to be expected. Can't tell a difference when cleaning with the wand or floor sprayer. Would recommend as it was cheaper than most I found. The maintenance free aspect is definitely a plus too. Have used it through about 6 tanks of gas and have zero issues so far.
This is a very good video. You have very clear and direct instructions and explain things very well. I am replacing the windshield washer pump/motor on my 2000 Lexus RX300 and I thank you for your video, very helpful!!! 🙂
@@buildfixcars I don‘t think that the water pipes are clogged, because if I press the rear window washer button it makes the noise of an working motor and also water comes out normally. But in the front it doesn‘t make anything. EDIT: Just put some contact spray on the pins of the plug and the pump itself. Pump is working again. It seems that the contacts has been corroded during the last six months I wasn‘t driving the car.
If it is fuse or relay, there will be no sound of action at all, as if you never switched on anything. In my case you can see that when I activate washer and wiper, only wiper works but washer doesn’t. That means fuse is sending signals as it is supposed to
Real checklist. 1. Is there washer fluid? 2. Can you work the switch that should cause the washers to work? As seen in the vid, the wipers worked (automatically) so the washer should have worked. 3. Use a multitester to see if the motor is getting electricity. It may be a blown fuse or a bad wire. If there's fluid, the switch works, and there's juice to the motor, *THEN* go ahead and replace the motor.
Correct, great check list! and as your point #2, when i activated the washer fluid, only wiper blades run, and no water is pumped, so it can be concluded no power supply to the motor.
@@buildfixcars No power but why? Could be a blown fuse or a shorted wire. You replace the pump and it still doesn't work. I need to get a new pump today, because I already tested the electrical. That and my reservoir is cracked and new ones are hard to find. Thankfully this place sells the reservoir and pump at one price.
never put plain water in the washer reservoir as not only will it freeze in winter time but there isn't any detergent in their to clean any bug spatter or crime that gets on the windscreen
liar. When you took out the 'old' motor it was not dusty. You just placed the old one back and showed us a more dusty one. Also where is the wheel cover?
Best explanatory video I've come through since i started looking for videos on how to fix stuff from UA-cam, great work mate!
Thank you so much! I appreciate your support
This guy right here is what the internet needs!
Thank you very much - I was going to let my local garage do the repair but I can see that I can do it so easily myself. Thank you again.
Thank you for supporting 🍀
I'm doing this on my C3 this weekend. Great vid, very well explained!
Thank you, I'm going to try and do it myself after watching this. It will save me the £400 my garage quoted. Excellent information.
Thank you 🙏🏻 please stay connected

Great video very informative 👍 new subscriber here 👏👏
This actually looks really easy. I have a Honda but I imagine it's the same. I'm starting to like fixing old cars.
Make sure you have fun while you’re at it 👍🏻
Great video bro. Thanks!!!!
Great video thanks
Nice video, actually no need to take off the tyre
Amazing video
Very informative
Very helpful ❗️
My water pomp doesn't make the noise ? Do you think it's burned out ? Pls I need to know before I buy a new one .thank you for the video
Probably it is damaged, however, follow the steps in the video to see if it is dispensing water through the motor.
Thanks for the question 🙂
Thank you for video
That electric connector, was it push tab or a slider, I couldn't tell.
Helpful 🔥🔥
Thank you thank you thank you
Thank you bro
Thank you so much ❤❤
I like YOUR video
Thank you Sir! ❤️
Thanks

I would be more worried about the bald tire than the washer motor..
And the fact that it's installed to rotate the wrong direction... 😲
My water is working in rear but doesn‘t make any noise in the front. Is it the motor or the pump that doesn‘t work?
Check the washer pump in the front, that’ll probably do. FYI sometimes everything works fine but the water pipes are clogged. So check that too

How do I know it’s not the relay or fuse on my 2003 beetle?

Great 🔥🔥🔥
Super useful thank you! Means I won't be able to do this myself (not got the tools) but I know what I'm asking a mechanic for
I appreciate your support ❤️
@@buildfixcars I'm a new car owner - 2003 plate Toyota Yaris that I adore - and videos like this help me feel less nervous about driving
GREAT 👍
is it possible to do this without taking the wheel off?
I took the wheel off to get clearance. If you have clearance to work on your motor without taking the wheels off, then you’re all set
@@buildfixcars it looks easy enough to slide in without, ill give it a try!
I hope it's work for my car?
Nice video 🔥
this pump is same for all car ?
Concept is the same, design might varry
Great content
What if the washer motor works (front washer squirts fluid but the one on the back doesn't)
There is a washer motor pump for the backside too. You might need to replace that.
Is that motor usually expensive?
They don't cost much
Great
you skipped splicing in the after market connector?
Mine stopped working after frost
Nice
Good vid but are you really driving on those tyres????

@protorhinocerator142 check 3:40, the new motor works.

Definitely, this video was shot in the UAE, we don't have freezing temperatures there. But I always use antifreeze here in Canada
👍
Good explanation but it's actually called a windshield wiper pump not motor
Where’s the floor jack.
Didn't require one for now
Chrisfix🤔🤔🤔
Hey jack-of-all-trades- next time identify the vehicle and year so we don't waste time
its a pity he needs his tyres put on the right way ??? Wrong rotation
You need to spend some of your You tube money on some tires for that RICE BURNER and not worry so much about a washer motor..Gppd video though..
Hahaha YEAH I did! Thanks 🙏🏻
