Yep, back to the 90’s. I got a Disklok in 1992 when I had my highly nickable Cosworth. Got to know the chap who designed it quite well as he was at all of the shows. Great product.
I had a crook lock to protect my Vauxhall Cavalier sri and a alarm bought from halfords those were the days ❤Great short vlog Lee many thanks Richard and Tanya from Southampton 😂❤❤
A great additional security product for your car. As thieves are getting round car technology so using old school technology may help. I’m considering buying one to bolster my car’s alarm valet mode and tracker. Hopefully they will see the steering lock and move on to the next car without having to rely on the cars own security. The only other peace of kit is a good car key RFID key box not a pouch
Steve is partly correct with his information but actually Abarths come fitted with an immobiliser as standard Just check the owner's manual. Each original key has a chip inside which sends a signal when it gets close to the ignition switch. Inside the switch there is an antenna that receives this signal and sends it to the car's computer. If the signal is the same as the one the car has saved, then the driver will be allowed to start the car. The main problem is thieves use a device that plugs into the car's OBD port and away with your car. How did Steve get on with the disklok and did it keep the car safe?
In one of the other videos he said the fuel flap locks when the car is locked, are you sure this is true? (And I mean the door part which is painted, not the metal fuel cap)
First 😜 Nice to see a follow up with ya mate and his comp abarth been waiting for it . Tell him to get an Ariel delete they do a nice metal scorpion disc
The MacMaster As Steve went for the 90’s steering lock perhaps he should go for a Clifford alarm with the 5 different sounds they made when the alarm went off ! Had one on my Renault 5 gt turbo lol 😂
You're holding it wrong. 😂 Spin it left so handle points down, unlock then lift arm - it's now horizontal pointing to the left. Swing the left half downward then just shimmy the Disklok off the wheel, fold and stow. MUCH quicker than the way you're doing it in the video. I can put on or remove mine in about five seconds start to finish.
I just bought a brand new Competizione and also have the Monza exhaust rattle and valve problem, also have the suspension squeak and was wondering what this is. My car has gone back to Abarth for a replacement system, I can't believe the dealers are selling these with known failures.
Sorry to hear about your problems with your car! Me too, my arbarth was one of the new ones last year with the active monza, the value is faulty, the exhaust makes an awful rattle sound and the engine management light is on and off like a yoyo! Have always loved the abarth but would never have another one. Hope you get yours sorted, mines going in in a couple of weeks to have the whole back box replaced and a faulty value on the engine replaced.

Thanks for the update Gents 👍🇦🇺
Love the bit at the end made me laugh
😂👍🏼👍🏼
The guy who used an angle grinder to remove it wasn't a thief. He was the owner. 😂
Hi .Do you have any link for the wheel cover ?
I can’t get mine off so annoying I’m using the key and it won’t unlock from the steering wheel
Ikea Nottingham up the M1! I knew you guys were from that neck of the woods I can tell by the accent the Derbyshire!

Fiat 500s and their derivatives have been fitted with Thatcham Category 2 immobilisers since 2007.
I think its ridiculous having to go through that evertime you stop your car cant believe fiat sold them without an alarm system

Sadly you can't expect to get a faultless car out of the factory these days. Lots of things to correct for most manufacturers.
That made me laugh how do you get that thing off Steve? Xxx
Lol. It's like being back in 1984. 😜
A lot swear by them a lot swear at them .the wheel 🔐
Haha broke my window on my celica with one of these 😂
Hmm... Immobilizer has been a legal requirement for decades for new car models. It must have some kind of system or they couldn't sell it.
hahah is take 32 sec to open it is very secured :)
Put the steering wheellock on first
