A very sweet little machine that arrived at our workshop in lots of boxes and tins surrounded by hay bales. She's now ready to again charm the socks off all who meet her.
@Wilderness Activities Canada .. No you didn't. .. This is the over head valve 250. I had one made in 1952 and I still have the manual. It would do 73 mph on a very good day. I bought mine in 1964 when I was 15 yo. .. It's nice to hear the sound again.
My first bike 1974, loved it, I was 16 with an L plate ,came with all the petrol coupons! Sold it,guy boxed it and now who knows where it is! Great bike, needed a regulater..........Oh Well..........
I just inherited this exact model! And I rode freestyle motocross professionally for over 5 years. But this bike im not sure about and don't want to do any damage trying to work it out. Can you please tell me how to start the bike? Is it straight unleaded fuel? What is the oil canister on the right side of the bike for? Maybe also it's value from a collector's view?
Dale they are a dry sump design so oil is in the oil tank on the RHS. Easy starter, It has a coil and points ignition. So Ignition on, flood the carry and a solid smooth push of the start lever. Enjoy
I had one in 1970. My first bike.it was a pile of crap but I had some fun with it and it kept the 14 year old boy out of trouble
I had one in 1951. Side valve engine, coil ignition. 250 cc. I was in the RAF for my conscripted National Service in the UK.
Cruised 55-60 mph
