I learned the fills and solos a few years ago and it is amazing how alvin got so much juice from one scale in one position and sometimes going to the next.
Great lesson Carl on theory, fretboard visualization (pentatonic framework), and ear training for improv! Join the Academy everybody and get more of Carl's excellent teaching inside all of his extensive courses on everything guitar! 🎸
Hey Carl, finally an Alvin Lee/TYA jam, Thanks! Alvin is one of the ALL TIME GREATS to come out of the second British invasion (you know, Zep, Purple, Sabbath and so on), we called him 'speed fingers'! He slapped me 'HI' five from stage at Cobo Hall in Detroit when I was a boy (still haven't washed my hand!). Since we're in an Alvin state of mind, how about the (often asked for) solo, just the solo, PLEASE!, from the classic TYA version of 'Good Morning Little School Girl'. The one I'm after is on the 1973 TYA LP titled 'Recorded Live', it's the version when Alvin introduces the number as 'a song from yesteryear' and it is a jam, every day all day. The back and forth with the Bass player (Leo Lyons) is out of this world! Please and Thank You. You are the BEST and thanks for all the work you do here, really appreciate it!
Always much appreciate the split screens, I believe allows us to listen & watch all things going on at the same time. Is how I learned listening & watching, backyard, garage & club bands in the early/mid 70's. Appreciate your lessons. Thanks again!
OMG. I was just trying to figure this one out. Nicely done…Thanks Carl! P.S. Joining your academy was the best decision I have ever made. I am learning so much…and I am always improving. TY!
About time someone did a proper tutorial of this song. This is one of the first songs I taught myself by ear but here I am double checking my work. Also I never got to the solo 👍
Carl Brown / GL365 Unplugged is my favorite of the more than ten years of youtube content repertoire he has to offer. Support this guy by joining his academy to continue to change the guitar world for more years to come.🦸🏻♂️ .... It was inevitable but its true ... 😬🤘🏻
Awesome lesson!! Just a few weeks late for me, as I did cover this myself and added my own touches too it! Check it out guys! If you want some reference too, and to see how an older late beginner played with it.
Hi Carl, good guitar lesson I would like to know how to play the rhythm of the song, such as the strumming, since I can hardly understand it well. Greetings from Mexico
Thoughts on making a full lesson for "Through the Fire and Flames"? or maybe devide it into parts and see how it does? there's not really any (or atleast good lessons on it), think people would love to see it.
In light of what happened in America, I appreciate this video to take my mind off what's been going on. Thank you so much! Great tune...✌️ Ive been working on extending my pentatonic reach with an Eminor pink floyd track I've been utilizing...this will help!
Not Gonna lie his Academy is worth checking out I did it recently & it was the best choice
It really is great!
@Fairwarning5150 yes sir

Classic Blues Rock - thanks Carl!

Love your lessons, was wondering if you could help me with Hellyah - Love Falls?
Love this song! I’ve heard Alvin didn’t like it, because he didn’t want to be a Pop Star. He hardly, if ever played it live.

Can we please get lessons for the hunter by Dokken and wicked sensation by Lynch Mob?
Mr. Scary as well.
Cool, 😎😉
Wow I thought it was played with open chords after the intro. Power and Barr chords sound way better!
Can you do a lesson on broken by seether and Amy Lee?
Carl can you do cold by crossfade please
Could I get any City Boy song lesson from the 80's Carl?
Can you do showbiz by muse
Could you do Rumblin Train by Badlands or Couldn't Get it Right by UFO? Thanks for all you do.
PLEASE CARL, CITY BOY LESSSON😭❤
Please do some Polyphia tutorials
Please do some Black Label Society for me Carl! Suicide Messiah, Destruction Overdrive, Suffering Overdue, and Blackened Waters would be good ones!
I wish you'd do the video of the solo.
I like what he says at the end, it’s a good training to figure it out in our own
@kylemartin8687 that's how I've always done it but a lot of the music is hard to figure out because of all the overdubs
By any chance can you make a lesson over Alexander the Great by Iron Maiden pls :’)
Next "We'll be back" by megadeth
First here again
Hey haunting is how I describe Saturday Night Live Clash doing Amerasian Blues! 🎉🎸🎶 (Straight to Hell)
You be making me sticky lowk
More Megadeth pls
Black label society Farwell ballad please
Cool may or may not be down for your academy but why tf would you plug it in the middle of a lesson.
Some Ted Nugent would be killer.
