Z50R Build - Lighting stator install

- I wanted to be a be able to run some lights at night and thought somebody might find it helpful to know how to install a lighting stator. Look out for more videos soon!
The process is the same for xr50, xr70, crf50, crf70 and uses the same parts I did in the video. Below are links to where i purchased the parts if you want to do it to your bike also! (I am not affiliated with the sellers in any way)

Sick setup man I got only 1.5 extended swingarm and hd shocks on my 73 z50 k4 looks like I'm updating to the klx fork setup and 340mm rear springs and 3 inch extended swingarm looks mean man I'll def be looking for those knobby tires I'm wanting travel amd traction best setup I've seen on youtube
Thanks man I appreciate it. Cant go wrong with it. The suspension setup I have on it is really nice for adult riders and makes it much more enjoyable to ride, especially with the adult springs in the KLX forks. Should have some more videos on the Z50 coming out soon, including some custom parts!
How much did you pay for one in that condition? My friend has one that’s in worse condition and I told him I’ll give up a fair price. Starts right up… missing the kill switch and front brake lever and the seat needs to be re holstered. I’m thinking offering like 400?
Honestly hard to say. I have found some for as low as 100 and some people want 1000s... All I can recommend it take an inventory of what you need to get it going, looks up prices and see if the amount your offering + parts is something your willing to pay for the bike in the end.
How long are those fork tubes?
I am not sure how long they are; they are just KLX110 forks with adult springs
Is a ignition coil still required? And if so will it work with a standard coil or the special one with the silver cylinder on a Honda xr75?
Yes you will always need an ignition coil. I don't think that the kit I used for this Z50R will work with the XR75. The stock Z50 coil was reused with the new stator and flywheel and works just fine.
I am pretty sure the XR75 has points and condenser ignition system v. an electronic ignition like the Z50 so it is a different system. Im not sure what is involved but a lot of times you can just add a "lighting coil" to your existing stator plate and it not affect the operation of your ignition system. Thanks for watching!
I am trying to replace the ignition system with this because my xr75 is missing the strator plate and flywheel. I'm basically starting from scratch with just a bare shaft. The new flywheel fits but that little black box that contacts the flywheel is in the waY of the case. Couldn't find any other seller on amazon that sold a flywheel.
@@gregoryosborn2466 If the flywheel fits on the shaft you may try to use an "inner rotor" kit. It is much smaller in size, the flywheel and the black box (I assume you mean the pickup for the flywheel trigger) is probably 1/3 of the size of the kit I used in this video.
