Hey Ava, I am really sorry you don't like your pixie haircut. You are very brave to to post about your experience. I have some friends that had cancer and had to lost all their hair. I shaved my head to show my support. I never thought anything about it until after it was all shaved off. It is a very interesting feeling. I just think gal in general focus too much on their hair. Hair is apart of our identity and when you don't have any it just harder to identify with it. Grow it is a whole different experience and we should enjoy it or learn to love it because some ppl don't have hair and therefore we should appreciate what we have and not take it for grant.
the girl in the video has a really pretty face, but i do prefer the longer hair, let me tell you why most guys dont like short hair, can you imagine (for arguments sake) your boyfriend or husband just came home one day, with a long pink ponytail, i know most women would absolutely hate it and tell their boyfriend to change it back,
That's me but the opposite. I first liked it but now i hate it. It looks good on me, but I cannot style it. I have thin straight hair so I cannot really style it without it looking weird. At first, the hairstylist did a great job, but there are some things he did wrong and i cannot really fix them. But after a few washes, it might look good, but now I literally hate my life 😭
Speaking as a hairdresser's daughter here. She tested a lot of things out on me and sometimes it often affected my confidence until I figured out how to style myself. Once she even fried my hair with a bad perm. Nightmare. You look French with the Pixie--French, chic, and adorable. Suggest you wear a little more dramatic eye eyeliner now that your hair is short, because your eyes are really amazing. Think gamine. Bold eyeliner or lipstick can be a good move with short, dark hair (a la Audrey Hepburn). I can imagine you in a black leather (or pleather if that's your preference) jacket with a scarf and cigarette pants. Go for the panache, and bold accents.
My Mom was a hairdresser too and I was her guinea pig.. from Twiggy’s pixie cut to Jane Fonda’s shag in Klute, to Dorothy Hamill’s wedge and Vidal Sasson’s geometic bob cut. Some I loved, some I hated but hey, hair grows out!
@@beatricethetheatregeek8604 100% agree. The magic ingredient is the right hairstyle for your face and your hair type and of course, the most magical ingredient of them all is confidence in the style. You will have to go through an awkward stage if you hate it, but hair grows out eventually and if it didn't you could get a wig or find a way to make it more you, so I think it is always rectifiable.
@@Gamper1 Short hair simply doesn't suit everybody. If you're a girl you need big eyes, full lips AND a tiny nose - & also small, neat ears - or it tends to look rubbish. It's not a feminist thing either, nor is it worth saying oh it looks good on evbdy bc it rlly doesn't. Many women regret cutting their hair, sorry 🤗💜🙏💜 (Amazing though in the 21st Century, that it became SO much about girls & eve much older ladies hvg long, straight hair - basically saying No curls, no shorter haircuts, no fringes, no layers - just 1 length hair & long or v long - bc straight one length hair doesn't suit all women either - even in the 195ps, short hair was an option. The hair fac*sts need to back of & understand that hair comes in many textures & lengths. 🤗💜🙏💜
Julie Campbell OK, she's literally never has this cut before, and many women use their hair as a way to define their beauty. So if she cuts of off hoping it will be good, and she doesn't like it, then she'll be upset, its a change that's visible and she's self conscious. Girls spend so much time on their hair because they tie to their confidence to how it looks and how others will react. She's come to terms with the cut though, and now she's rocking it! Don't call her a drama queen, its a thing that society has bestowed upon us too care what others think, so she's following what society has decided, not being a drama queen. But now she is too strong to fit in, so she can be confident without pressure. No drama because she's not dramatic, she was just a little disapointed, and now she's more comfortable with it, so she is calm and confident. Good day
Hey, Ava! I have been watching TONS of pixie cut videos, because I am planning to cut my hair into a pixie in a couple of months. Your video is the first one that helped me visualize the shock of sitting in that stylist chair and doubting the decision to cut all my hair off. Even while I know this is something I want to do, I'm sure it will still be scary. Thanks for walking us through your experience with honesty!
FYI for anyone considering a pixie: I think having the undercut on both sides is risky for first time pixie getters. I would not recommend it unless you are VERY sure. I got the undercut on both sides without knowing and I HATED it. But with one side longer (with no undercut) and one side short your pixie will feel and look much softer and fuller and feminine.
Oh wow, I know you weren't crazy about your hair at first but I literally gasped when you showed your pixie cut. You looking absolutely gorgeous with this hair!
Just like you did in the video, I always stress how important it is to find a really good stylist, especially when you go short like you did. And I think that's exactly what you should do as well. I can imagine it's a scary idea to have even more hair cut off, but what you need is a better shape and professional styling advice. You'll feel so much better!!
I love this haircut on you! It really suits you. I love it more than the longer bob you had before. Your face deserves to be looked at. I hope you will love your new look eventually, because it’s gorgeous!
I'm not allowed short hair. I hate my long hair i always had it long. My mom thinks i will look like a boy and she hates short hair on girls. It's my hair. Not hers. How do I explain it to her?
That’s so tough, I’m sorry she’s not supportive! My mom loves my pixie but I didn’t tell her I was getting it before I did because I knew she was attached to my hair the way it was (I also don’t live with them and I financially support myself so I did not have to tell them). I think parents are emotionally attached to the hair you had when you were little, and it comes from a place of love. Is she the one paying for your cuts? Unfortunately I don’t think I can give you solid advice on this one because I’m not financially supported by my parents and I’m also not a parent myself. I would continue having conversations with her and expressing yourself in a calm and confident way and hopefully she will come around :)
Lulu 21 You may have seen a troll comment on this. Just wanted to let you know that I have blocked the user from commenting on my videos. Have a nice day!
I just got my hair cut very short and it took MONTHS of convincing my parents to let me do it. Offer to pay for the appointment and show your mother pictures of girls that have short hair to show that not all girls have long hair. I hope you can get it cut soon!
Maybe you can agree on short hair but not that short on the sides or the back? That way it will make them think you will look less boyish that’s what I did and I’m gonna get my hair cut in 4 months
same thing happened to me yesterday. i had long curly hair all the way down to my tailbone, and she cut it like a bob/ pixie hybrid. people keep telling me i look incredible, but i don't like it. i had an hour of confidence yesterday, and i keep trying to tell myself i look beautiful, but?
You aren’t alone in that feeling💕 Give it time and I’m sure you will figure it out. It took me a while to become more confident and tweak the cut to be exactly what I wanted. Just remember that your confidence and beauty radiates from within!
I had gorgeous curly hair as well and literally it was butchered. I have a long face and short hair does not look good on me at all...but for some reason trying to get my hair " fixed" by various other hairdressers yielded nothing. So I having gone to school myself I just literally chopped it all. No way it can do anything but grow out even . It looks horrific but desperate times call for desperate measures.
I'm growing my pixie cut, and it honestly made me so depressed. I got compliments, but I just hated it, and still hate it . Sometimes we care more than other care, because we don't think we look good in it . I still get super nervous around people because I think I look ugly in it, I almost had waist-long hair but went through sort of like a depression state, and ruined my hair . Now i'm awaiting the growth . My mom inspired me, and told me how beautiful it looks on me, and the only one whos outlook on you matters is, Jesus's . It looks super great on you, but I totally feel you on this . Give it a few months, they'll go by fast, and sooner or later you'll get up to your shoulders!
eleven Hahaha, I can really relate to that growing out phase feeling, I just messed my hair up more and went back into an edgy, wet look feel, sometimes scrunching it up, slicking it back, or parting the front and slicking it behind my ears. So good! it made it all look voluntary. I ruined my hair countless times, cutting it really did me and my confidence good, I'm sure you look wonderful, you just have to look in the mirror and choose to own it! I hope you feel better about it by now ♡
thank you! two months seems to have passed pretty fast, my hair is neck length and it feels great to know that the growth is working out. I would slick it back, but I have a big forehead so I just make bangs lmao. I still feel insecure about it, but things are really looking up from here on out.
I just cut about 14 inches off into a pixie cut. It's short all around and long on the top. I did it bc I don't like looking like everyone else. I like the unique style. I got highlights for summer but will go back to dark for fall. If you wanna add me on Instagram @rockmegram you can see I style it different ways. I'd love to chat w you on there about my experience too if you want to message me 😊
Rachelle Rockwell omg I know right!!! Got a pixie like u too. I just feel like all girls have the same hair. I used to have long hair but it was soo boring
Your honesty about your experience and why you got the pixie cut was really encouraging. It’s really different from a lot of the videos I’ve watched about getting a pixie cut and that too was really reassuring! It reminded me that my self worth isn’t and shouldn’t be associated w/ a hair cut or style. Thank you for making this vid!!
Ok, so I know this an old video, but THANK YOU for posting this. I literally just got out of a haircut for my first pixie and I hate it. She didn't listen or follow the pictures so it ended up so much shorter than I wanted. Anyways I needed to hear someone else rant about a similar situation and to be reminded that my hair does not define me. Hopefully I'll soon figure out how to be fierce with this new do. Thanks again.
I had a pixie for 4 years, tried to grow it out to try something new, got it to my chin and got it all cut again. It's takes time to get used too, having it short makes you so confident as you can't hide anything, that's you, you can't hide it with hair, which makes you so much more accepting of who are you. People who go short, feel so much more liberated then people who keep there hair long. Pixie hair is soo cool and striking, I have so many people saying to me "I wish I could go short but I don't think I dare" it looks great on you!
I love your authenticity. I have wanted to get a pixie cut because I've never loved my longer hair, but I'm so afraid to do it. I'm 51 years old and don't have your young beauty, so I'm afraid not to have my hair to "hide" behind. We'll see...
I completely understand your feelings, I've cut mine short a few times and it definitely is an adjustment, but I think it looks adorable on you! I hope it's grown on you. (:
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your real-time, honest reaction! I thought I was the only one going through this. Honestly, every time I've gotten a pixie (this is my second. Went true pixie this time) I've loved it the moment after styling but felt the exact same way you did for another 2 weeks - a month. It eventually grows on me. I didn't notice this trend until I watched your video and it made me feel so relieved. I resonate with everything you said. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
I haven't seen it in person but I LOVE it on the video. It's a very distinctive cut and you look like no one else. You are your own sassy person! Love it!
I can completely relate with this video! I remember feeling super excited/nervous to get a pixie only to feel insecure immediately afterwards. I’ve had my cut for about 5 months now and have honestly come to love it and love myself even more than before. You look amazing and I hope you eventually love it too. :)
I had the exact same experience :) After about 2 months, I'm now in love with it and plan to keep it for at least a year. Glad I'm not alone in this rollercoaster of emotions haha
The picture you showed looked more edgy. There was product used for texture. Yours looks more smoothed down. You really should play with it and play with some products. Also like others have said - try a more dramatic makeup look. The woman in the picture had to work for that look. She didn't just wake up or jump out of the shower like that. It's a nice cut on you. I hope you end up embracing it. TFS.
I think it's great that you have this "pre" video -- it's basically a pep talk to your current self! As your big sister, it pains me to see you upset about anything, but this will make you even stronger :-) I can't wait to see this gorgeous pixie in real life. Big kisses.
Ok... The Mother in me has to say something. Sweetie, in life you don't just get confidence. Not from a haircut,or a outfit, or a silly feeling. You gain confidence. As you grow as a person you will come to see that. ☺️
I also had a moment as my hair was drying where I thought “what have I done?” And that’s on my second pixie cut after looking at pics of my previous cut and telling myself how good I looked. The first few days I think are the hardest because not only are you adjusting but you can’t avoid getting comments from everyone you know. I wish I could just go on a self love retreat for a week or something before revealing my new style lol
Thank you SOOOOO much for posting your viewpoint. Your honesty is just what I needed to hear right now. I got a Pixie because my hair was damaged after leaving it braided for too long. I had no choice, because I LOVE my hair and I wanted it to grow healthy. The style was pretty when my hair stylist finished but the next day was awful, not to mention the day before my birthday. I wanted to look good with a fresh new hairstyle for a new year. I was feeling really bad about my hair. After watching your video, it inspired me to get over myself and realized that I'm more than my hair. I will continue to let the style grow on me and embrace it. Thanks again for posting!!!
For anyone considering a pixie, just know that unlike what she said in the video it's not like 6 months to get back to a bob, it's more like a year for most. And that grow out will have several very awkward looking stages to get to that point.
Finally grown mine out. I had it into a pixie in July 2022, started to grow it out in January 2023 and now it is finally just below my shoulder... my layers are still not long enough though 😢 honestly the WORSE haircut I've ever had.
You look amazing with this pixie cut. I know this was 3 years ago but this was am amazing look for you. It’s so much cuter than the previous cut. I went from long hair all the way down my back to a pixie. I love it. Screw what anyone else thinks. Pixies teach you lots about yourself……. Valuable lessons.
You just have to work it. Like, WORK it. Don't try to make it perfect or a shape that you think it should be. You will just get all in your head and go mental with it. Just enjoy the fact that you're gorgeous, brave and different with the length it's at now. Sometimes, when you're at this stage, buzzing it all off can be liberating and cleansing. Then, you can learn to understand that you don't need hair AT ALL to be beautiful. YOu break free from "standard hair beauty chains". AND THEN you can go on the journey of growing it out, experimenting with different cuts/styles as it grows. And if you continue to grow it out, you will appreciate your hair so much more.
Omg I got my hair cut the same exact way and had the same feelings! I didn't completely hate my hair but after I got it cut I literally wanted to hide. It totally gets better tho!!! I feel way more confident and I've had problems holding on to things so getting my hair cut was rlly hard but I love it. You obviously rock the pixie and trust me you will be rlly confident and happy:)
@@elisatorm3529 I know this is very late, but I thought I would reply for anyone who has this problem, if you don't know the name of a hairstyle, you could show them a picture and most hairdressers should be able to work off of it or do something similar. If you don't mind me asking did you get the hairstyle? Edit: Typo
Very chic and stylish, not bland (soccer mom) like before. If I were you, I'd get some highlights in the front. You are fair with blue eyes, so even blond-ish would work. Once the long part grows a bit, you will settle into this haircut. OR, you could go further with it and cut some spikey bangs. Not everyone looks great with the side part and long bangs.
It's a great haircut you look beautiful with it the salon did a great job on your hair. Going in your lunch hour isn't a good idea though. You looked fantastic
I got a pixie that at first i hated. I cut it because my hair was so distressed and damaged from using heat tools with no protectant. I tried just growing and cutting, growing and cutting, so i could have healthly hair but im just too impatient. Grew it out for about 6 months and didnt get very far so i chopped it all off. And the hair stylist didnt style it, she just cut it and left me to my own devices(which i actually appreciate because of the cost). And when i looked at it i was like "oh.. my.. oh.. I look like a boy.. I dont look pretty.. how am i going to deal with this.." but after i played with it and got the right style i loooved it. I mean, i really miss longer hair and im growing it out but i love the pixie. I was told i looked edgy and bold (which im not lol) and that this could be my signature style
I’ve been wanting to do a pixie cut, but this video makes me SO nervous! 😅 I love how you explained wanting to feel confident and beautiful regardless of what your hair style might be.. I also want to feel that way! But it’s still such a big step and a shock for sure.
I love your attitude.. you look great.. I think you would look great w highlights or even dirty blonde color would look good on you but you don't need it.. .. it looks great the way it is
I honestly love it. I use to have really long thick hair and my hair was my security blanket. but then in 2020 my hair started falling out. I lost about 60% if my thickness so now my hair is very thin but everything that fell out is now growing back. But losing my hair definitely made me realise that its just hair. It grows back and life goes on. Im debating getting a pixie so that I can get my thickness back quicker then let everything grow out together.
It's really cute on you. It shows how beautiful you really are. I cut my hair for my birthday. It was so liberating...but I'm happy it's growing back .lol
You're probably over it by now but when I got my curly pixie I went through twenty minutes of such a silly feeling, then I've grown to realise that I have never felt more physically confident than with that short, liberating style! I hope that you are doing well. You look gorgeous.
i’m watching this in 2020, i got my hair cut into a pixie cut just last week, and i feel EXACTLY like you do. i know there was a high chance of not liking it, but i really did want to challenge myself. it’s like the pictures, but it’s nothing like i expected, and i instantly miss my old hair. i don’t feel confident, and now i’m taking perfectil hair vitamins to try help the growing process as fast as i can. but this video helped knowing that other people have went through this experiencing or are going through it now :)
I got a pixie in 2016 and absolutely hated it from day 1, my self esteem dropped so low and I refused to go to school for about a week afterwards. I'm growing it out now, and I feel a lot more confident now :')
I have had a pixie cut for about 4-5 years and I have had points with it where I had a bad cut or didn't like the colour. Now I just do it myself and keep it blonde so I feel more girly and edgy. The colour and style makes a huge difference. I think everyone has a pixie cut for them. Also if you straighten your bangs and mess it up with product it'll look really good.
I noticed you kept trying to get the bangs out of your face. I personally can't stand bangs in my face and that would be the worst part for me, no tucking behind the ear, but straight hair that I keep trying to brush to the side and it just plops back in my eyes. I think either shorter or longer in the front might be the way to go to deal with the weird middle ground. Thanks for your video!
Yes that is exactly what I identified as why I didn't like the cut :) I don't like the way side bangs look on my face and I find them annoying lol. I talk about this more in my "I Hate My Pixie Update" video if you want to hear more :) Thanks for watching!
Holy crap..its so stunning on you. I recently cut my hair a bit shorter than this and at first I wasn't so sure and wasn't use to it but I absolutely love it now..i watch cool tutorials and I have alot of cute hair bands and hair accessories and earrings too to bump my my look. Your hair cut is beautiful.
Sarah Carol Williams OMG you totally should! I think it would look great on you! It has been a few more days since I filmed these clips and I'm feeling A LOT more confident and comfortable. It's a huge adjustment but it's worth it! I would just recommend having very specific requests of your stylist (like I regret not asking for longer pieces in the front). Let me know if you go through with it! Would love to see an Instagram :) haha
+Ava Elizabeth Luckily I have a stylist who knows my hair and she has actually told me to get a pixie! My one worry is that I have A LOT of hair and its wavy so I don't know how it would react (I actually get it thinned out when I get trims done). I am strongly considering it though!!!!
I got mine cut today, I asked my stylist for a little shorter. Now the top is to short and kinda clumpy, and it does not look good at all😂 At least it is winter and I have an excuse to wear hats everywhere till it grows out some
The only two things missing from the pic that inspired you is the color and some texture. I did a “big chop” two weeks ago and I know it’ll look so much better with some balayage (2nd time doing a pixie, did highlights the first time) especially when I wear it wavy. Good luck!
Oh watching the stylist cut around my ears for the first time, I started to freak out... as she finished I was okay again. As soon as I walked out and my husband saw it I was back to freaked out. Took us both a few days to like it LOL. So silly because its "just hair" but well... About to go back in for my first trim and tweak the style because it could be better, but you cant know exactly what you want until you live with it and learn from it. Love the freedom the short hair provides!
That's a very nice haircut that I can't have because of my wavy frizzy hair. Probably what you wanted was a reverse bob which is very cool, feminine. Search on Pinterest for ideas.
I just got a pixie it’s my fourth time i have a habit of growing my hair super long then getting bored and taking the plunge and chopping it all off the first usually takes time for me and everyone else to adjust but you do find things to appreciate about it
Yep I had that same experience today I almost cried in the salon and can't wait to grow it out. But my hair is thin so that's why I wanted to try it and I'd rather try it now and know I don't like it than to have tried it in 30 years and love it and wish I'd done it sooner
I understand how you feel. I hated one of my short Bob cuts in the past and everybody picked on me and made me hate it. I actually liked it coming out of the salon. Just try not to think much about the hair only. Focus on other things for a few days and weeks. Just be relaxed.
it looks so amazing on you! i’m about to get my pixie cut later today and i’ve had long hair my whole life and i’m scared so i’ve been watching pixie cut videos lol!
I hated mine for the first like two days.. took no pictures, totally avoided going out in public lol but now I love it!! Don't plan on growing it out for a while!
I recently cut my long hair off, I walked out feeling the same as you - I felt so ugly I even took the next day off work. But I went in not really knowing what short style would suit me. I went and got it fixed and died blonde elsewhere which gave it some more dimension and I’m in love with it ! A month later I want it shorter ! I even now have a shaved undercut :) you will Honestly learn to love it
So many people seem to have a similar experience :) it’s been a year and I have totally grown to love it and never see myself going back to long hair. thanks for watching and for your lovely comment 💕
Your pixie looked better than mine. My hair stylist made it spiky in the back so I could only style it one way and she left the nape longer than usual. She said it was more feminine, but in two weeks, it looked like a mullet. Ever since then, I have been afraid to get my hair cut.
I've been wanting to get a pixie for about 3 years now on and off. I finally cut it in a asymmetrical bob that my mom recommended last fall. I absolutly hated the cut, because it wasn't my style or what I wanted in the first place. I have scheduled to get my haircut next weekend, and I'm super nervouse, but also really excited. I am around 5'10, and have fairly broad shoulders, so I'm really just scared of feeling like I look even older than I already do now(I'm only 14, but look around 17).
I think this haircut is great on you! I got a pixie a few yrs ago and I liked it but a few days after I just hated that I couldn't braid my hair or put it in a ponytail had alot of compliments but it personally did not suite me.
As a hairstylist the cut essentially a great cut ,balances with some ease of style. Ive worn a pixie like cut for 20 of the last 27 years ive been in the hair biz its suits me in time you will like it too
I got a pixie cut today after growing out my pixie cut from high school, and I was surprised by how insecure and anxious I've been feeling about it! I experienced similar anxiety with my first pixie five years ago, but I wasnt expecting to have it happen again! I think part of the problem is that I was impatient and went to a cheaper salon instead of waiting, and the stylist didnt really execute what I wanted -_- but it's nice to be reminded how common it is to experience this shock after getting a drastic haircut! I keep telling myself it's just hair and I can cut it again differently or grow it out longer, but its tricky. anyway I do think you look lovely! (although I know this is an old video)
I really hope you see this Ava, i had a bad haircut a few weeks ago i didnt know how i was ment to style it. I got myself so worked up this morning i put into google ive had a bad haircut & you came up. Ive actually just made myself a parting on my right side & done it similar to yours. I now can see what it will look like when it grows out a bit more. Thank you so much & im now Subscribed
I just cut off about 8 in of my hair and this is exactly how I feel. Extremely in shock.... every time I look in the mirror I get massive anxiety and I feel like I’m too fat for the cut. I’m dying on the inside. But this look actually looks fantastic on you
I had a nice angled short bob and i said could you please trim it again its gone flat nd make it rounder at the back ... he cut an inch in seconds it was at the nape of my neck.. it's like 1cm long at the back it looks almost shaved.. it was almost touching my shoulder first time in MY LIFE i hated a haircut it looks rounded EVERYWHERE OMG WHY it suits other girls but i look like a soccer mum.. fml
I got a pixie cut yesterday and I don’t really care for it, I feel okay with it when I’m wearing black T-shirts but if I’m not it makes me feel insecure for some reason but I’m gonna grow my hair back out a little because it used to be long so and I miss my long hair a lot, I hated it for the first day tho
Girl you look as cute as a button 🤩 but you were cute with the bob, also cute with it long sooo, but i understand it has to grow on you and as it grows out in the front, you will love it 💜✨💜
hey! i just got my pixie cut, went from very long to short hair and it was the best decision i’ve made when it comes to my hair in my whole life. I absolutely love it and i encourage everyone on the fence to go for it. It makes you feel confident and seriously anyone can pull off a pixie cut. I don’t have any negatives about it to say, but this video was one of the videos i watched before i got it to encourage me, so, Thank You❤️
Hell's favorite NPC #69OU812 . exe it’s really sad you let men control your life, i respect your decision for having long hair so respect mine. i have a boyfriend, he loves it, so, thank you 😄
Hell's favorite NPC #69OU812 . exe once again, i’m in highschool cause u deleted your last comment, and when you’re old, i hope your husband still loves you when you have short hair, you pig
xd kelly Hi! I have deleted the comments and blocked & reported this user because those types of comments are not welcome on this channel. I always try to do my block “trolls” as soon as I can. Glad their horrible comments did not affect you!
I just turned 60, and I have been wanting to cut my hair short for a long time. I haven’t had short hair since I was 9. I have very thick naturally curly hair, that I’ve straighten through out the last 15 years. …I finally did it last week, and it’s so easy, and I love it!! I love yours too. People really could care less what we do with our hair, do it for yourself. 💖
I just a pixie today and i hate it. It is nothing like the pictures i brought in and she cut it way to layered and didnt leave any longer bangs (like the pic i wanted). Also mine was suppose to have layers on each side that cover alittle over my ears and the cut she gave me is way above my ear....... hopefully i grow to like it and get the confidence you have cuz right now im pretty upset :( your video give me hope
It will be okay 💕 Over time you will fine tune the cut and styling. I have lots of tips and styling videos in my playlist “Pixie Power” here: ua-cam.com/play/PLp97em8Hbv3YOSc9ipkucAGxzdX_4niMw.html
I love how you explain things in such a nice way. I want a pixie , but I feel like I might feel the way that you felt. Like I lost more confidence. Which you know for being 18 I don't have much of. But you made me want a pixie cut even more!!!! And if I don't like it . It will grow back. Thank you!!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching and commenting! :) Keep in mind that this video is just a couple days after my haircut, I was still in shock! lol. But I have grown to love it SO much more since then and actually have MORE confidence in myself than I did before my pixie :) If you are interested, I have more videos about my experience in this playlist: ua-cam.com/video/GAiSskkz2Zg/v-deo.html
My experience is with short hair I feel alot more unattractive, everyone with longish hair make me feel quite frumpy and plain yet short hair on others is beautiful so obviously it's what's going on in my own head. I never like the way hairdressers blow dry my hair it is always to set looking and makes me look older. Most times I go straight home and wash my hair myself. I am 42 and I have never dyed my hair so it is in great condition. My hair is copper and I have no greys. I like my hair after 2 weeks growth from my actual visit to the hairdressers. By the way your hair is absolutely beautiful I love it 😍
Although I love long hair, it doesn't really look good on me and drags me down. So I decided to get a Bob and it was so liberating and now I'm thinking of going even shorter into a pixie. P.S. you totally pull of the pixie.❤️
AM I KEEPING OR GROWING OUT MY PIXIE?? UPDATE VIDEO -> ua-cam.com/video/UArJgX7xOck/v-deo.html
Hey Ava,
I am really sorry you don't like your pixie haircut.
Ava Elizabeth w
the girl in the video has a really pretty face, but i do prefer the longer hair,
let me tell you why most guys dont like short hair, can you imagine (for arguments sake) your boyfriend or husband just came home one day, with a long pink ponytail, i know most women would absolutely hate it and tell their boyfriend to change it back,
Girl after i got out of the salon i started crying really hard and saying i hate it so much. Then an hour later i was like wait i love it lmao
That's me but the opposite. I first liked it but now i hate it. It looks good on me, but I cannot style it. I have thin straight hair so I cannot really style it without it looking weird. At first, the hairstylist did a great job, but there are some things he did wrong and i cannot really fix them. But after a few washes, it might look good, but now I literally hate my life 😭
Asil_ IsMyName ooof how long is it now?
Haha the same I like pixie but a tad longer.
i had one because i hated my hair now i want my hair back lol
@@viamustdie i’m in that same situation rn :(
Speaking as a hairdresser's daughter here.
Thank you! Yes, I can't wait to explore with makeup and accessories :)
I HATED my pixie for the first two weeks. Then I loved it and kept it in various pixies for 7 years.
To be honest, it looks really good on you than your old hairdo. And I think very few women can pull off a pixie haircut. I'm being honest here.
I think anyone can pull it off if they style it right :)
@@Gamper1 yeah. I think you just need to find a good style for you and your face shape, and rock it with confidence.
Exactly
Many women regret cutting their hair, sorry 🤗💜🙏💜
(Amazing though in the 21st Century, that it became SO much about girls & eve much older ladies hvg long, straight hair - basically saying No curls, no shorter haircuts, no fringes, no layers - just 1 length hair & long or v long - bc straight one length hair doesn't suit all women either - even in the 195ps, short hair was an option. The hair fac*sts need to back of & understand that hair comes in many textures & lengths. 🤗💜🙏💜
Just give the cut a week, it really does look good on you!
Thank you! It's been a few more days and I'm feeling a lot more confident :)
+Ava Elizabeth Drama Queen much!!!
Ashley I agree she looks really good!
Julie Campbell why?
I'm so happy I could help you! :) Thank you for commenting!
You are a wise woman. And, although my opinion doesn't (and shouldn't) matter, I just want to say that you are simply gorgeous.
I agree with you. Gorgeous any way!😍😄
FYI for anyone considering a pixie: I think having the undercut on both sides is risky for first time pixie getters. I would not recommend it unless you are VERY sure. I got the undercut on both sides without knowing and I HATED it. But with one side longer (with no undercut) and one side short your pixie will feel and look much softer and fuller and feminine.
@Mia Phillips Same
Oh wow, I know you weren't crazy about your hair at first but I literally gasped when you showed your pixie cut.
@@AvaElizabeth i didn't see the comment. Thanks for your reply! I love youtubers who actually read their comments!
I like the pixie better. Looks more stylish and cool for sure
I still feel insecure about it, but things are really looking up from here on out.
asahd You're not alone
You are not alone. This is the time to play with it and change it up. Change is good!
🙌🏼 I’m glad it helped you 💕 Thank you for your comment!
Looks so good. I recently got a pixie cut but she didn’t cut it how I wanted. She went with a whole different style.
I love your authenticity. I have wanted to get a pixie cut because I've never loved my longer hair, but I'm so afraid to do it. I'm 51 years old and don't have your young beauty, so I'm afraid not to have my hair to "hide" behind. We'll see...
I hope you got your hair cut and that you loved it. I don't suit long hair but I'm not pretty enough for a pixie. I just have a short bob 😊
Aw you just made my day! So glad it resonated with you, thanks for sharing!
The same
Thank you SOOOOO much for posting your viewpoint.
Thank you for sharing 💕
B Kathleen love your comment!!!
Love this! What you describe is what I am hoping to face by cutting all my hair off.
BrittKatSlat wonderfully said!
I'm so glad I'm not alone! It's been about two weeks and I am so much more used to it and starting to really love it :)
Margot Massey Omg, i really want a haircut like that but I don’t know what to tell the hairdresser of what exactly I want.
@@elisatorm3529 I know this is very late, but I thought I would reply for anyone who has this problem, if you don't know the name of a hairstyle, you could show them a picture and most hairdressers should be able to work off of it or do something similar. If you don't mind me asking did you get the hairstyle?
Edit: Typo
@@steam_jane5580 Yes! I actually showed her a few different pictures of what i wanted and then we figured it out from there:)
I got a pixie cut today. I feel the way you do and that is what brought me here. Huge adjustment, but it is hair and it will grow...
You look beautiful, it suits you.
Oh I ❤ IT!!!!! You look so much healthier and younger. It's classy, crisp, and extremely flattering!😊😊😊
It looks amazing,it will look even more amazing after a month or two and that is exactly the length that I like.
YOU LOOK POWERFUL AS HELL!!!! OH MY GOD...THE SHINE IN YOUR EYES!!
It makes your beautiful eyes pop. I hope you keep it . Remember way to much pressure on your hair styles . No tears 🙋♀️
I absolutely love it!! Your whole face looks brighter and it accentuates your eyes! Definitely think it suits and flatters you.
I feel you! You might find this video I made helpful ua-cam.com/video/hnWhUFTjGH0/v-deo.html
I love your attitude.. you look great.. I think you would look great w highlights or even dirty blonde color would look good on you but you don't need it.. .. it looks great the way it is
awe thank you for the comment!! you are so sweet!! I love your channel!! just subscribed!! 🤗 stay awesome !
Oh my gosh I LOVE this cut on you! And your video has given me more confidence to go through with cutting my hair. Thank you!! ☺️
Girl it literally looks so good on you😩😩💓
When you explained about wearing makeup, I was like “me when I get new glasses”😂😂
Ok I am seriously considering chopping my hair off! I cut off about 11 inches a few years ago and have never looked back! Thanks for the inspiration 😊
Mod! Welllll. Hair grows. We all go thru that. But it works. Your skin is absolutely beautiful too. 👍👍👍👍😍
There's a lot of edgy reverse bobs that are longer than that.
Awwww i love your new haircut, you are one of the prettiest females i have seen and you will get to love your new hair xxxxxx
I had same haircut and I waited 3 years to grow it pass shoulders again😕 sorry english is not my first language
it looks so amazing on you! i’m about to get my pixie cut later today and i’ve had long hair my whole life and i’m scared so i’ve been watching pixie cut videos lol!
So excited for you! 💕
Ava Elizabeth thank you!!

Hell's favorite NPC #69OU812 . exe and men, i’m in highschool, u think i’m worrying about that rn lmao
I hated mine for the first like two days.. took no pictures, totally avoided going out in public lol but now I love it!! Don't plan on growing it out for a while!
I think this suits you more than your before hair. Love this cut. It brings out your features.
I think it looks really pretty on you!
I know this video was a few years ago, but I just got my hair cut and the woman did a major hack job. Your hair looks fabulous on you!
I'm so sorry you don't love it. I hope you find a stylist that is a better fit
I even now have a shaved undercut :) you will
Honestly learn to love it
So many people seem to have a similar experience :) it’s been a year and I have totally grown to love it and never see myself going back to long hair. thanks for watching and for your lovely comment 💕
It looks beautiful. And the stormtroopers are awesome too 😎.
I love it.. you’re beautiful either way!💕
You do have the face and the beauty for it! Seriously.
Believe, your hair looks beautiful 🥰 you are beautiful!
It’s fresh as a daisy, I love it
It looks so good on you😍😍😍honestly
classic blogger girl response lol. Omg. my spirits are like. Telling me I need to challenge myself. And the universe gave me exactly that
I just cut off about 8 in of my hair and this is exactly how I feel.
Girl you look as cute as a button 🤩 but you were cute with the bob, also cute with it long sooo, but i understand it has to grow on you and as it grows out in the front, you will love it 💜✨💜
Honestly this is such a great cut on you
hey! i just got my pixie cut, went from very long to short hair and it was the best decision i’ve made when it comes to my hair in my whole life. I absolutely love it and i encourage everyone on the fence to go for it. It makes you feel confident and seriously anyone can pull off a pixie cut. I don’t have any negatives about it to say, but this video was one of the videos i watched before i got it to encourage me, so, Thank You❤️
YES! Good for you! 🙌🏼💕
Ava Elizabeth Hi, and yea i don’t let those things get to me
I just turned 60, and I have been wanting to cut my hair short for a long time. I haven’t had short hair since I was 9. I have very thick naturally curly hair, that I’ve straighten through out the last 15 years. …I finally did it last week, and it’s so easy, and I love it!! I love yours too. People really could care less what we do with our hair, do it for yourself. 💖
The style in the pic you took right after with it styled looked awesome!! Do that! Hope you ended up liking it.
