Bro that wave at the beginning is luck it only came up to ur feet that far up lol good luck brotha and keep up the great work your friend Mike from nj 👍
I’m a little bit torn. I think it’s a nice reel and it’s held up to my almost daily abuse with almost no maintenance except fresh water wash down and oiling it once. I’ve dunked and dropped it and it’s fine. Here’s the negative… it’s heavy. Almost 3oz heavier than the vr50 and the price is just too close to the vr to not go with the vr. The van staal is superior and for an extra hundo, you can buy it.
Unless i am able to net, snag or dig for bait i will use artificial lures. I presently purchased a Saltwater Fly Rod from Orvis and i tie my own fly's using Synthetic Hair by Kanekalon and it comes in various colors and i will save myself a bunch and i really like this type of fishing it's different because you have to go on a recon mission to locate any signs of turbulence and having a spinal issue the equipment is much lighter and the walk well worth it, Peace.
Generally northern Monmouth county. From sandy hook to shark river. I was at Jenks club last week for a concert and things looked sweet down there. Prob take a shot at it next week
I was just fishing through this hurricane in ocean city NJ and have been fishing all week, caught a few spot, and croaker. Yesterday was the first day I really saw the effects of the hurricane on the surf and it was harder to catch fish, I didn’t even think it was worth it to film. I can’t seem to catch any fluke or anything big, even with the buck tail jig. Any advice?
Well I don’t know your exact situation but I would say don’t try to go back to your previous spots. They’re probably covered up. Find all new areas of structure and throw some casts at them. I noticed my troughs are giant right now so I was fishing rip currents inside of them and found good pockets of fish.
baitmule.com/product It’s called a Baitmule. It doesn’t really leak as long as you keep the gasket and threads clear of sand and debris. Thanks for watching

What is that container you have your gulp in and does it leak?

I always struggle with keeping it clean so I do get some leaks here and there
I did very well in the rough surf yesterday fish like the white water
Hell yeah. That’s awesome.
Cant you take a few steps out? Also, why not wait 1 day, then go..
The current was very strong. Also I try to fish like 5 days a week so I catch the ocean under all conditions.
To find fish you must tie a fish finder to you belt, wade along the waters edge up to three feet you'll find them
😆
